sharepoint checkbox validation in SPDesigner - sharepoint-designer

I am using sharepoint Office Designer 2007, to validate a checkbox (terms and conditions) through JavaScript.
Details:
I have created a custom list and in the custom there is a field called terms and conditions.
I have inserted the custom list in new .aspx page. I have changed the sharepoint checkbox to asp checkbox.
And I am trying to validate it through client validation function by aspx custom validator.
My code looks like
function TermsValidate(sender, args)
{
args.Isvalid=documnent.getelementById("ff2_1").checked);
}
The validation looks like it triggering but object required error comes up.
Did any one face or come across this problem?

Many thanks, I have figured out the way to access the checkbox control. run the code and go to viewsource from the browser get the id generated by the browser on the client.
And validate it thru the custom validator function.
Thanks everyone who tried to help me.

Using spfx webparts, would there be a way to either programmatically send an email which has a link to open a modal or using flow?

I want an spfx made webpart that I've made be able to send an email (I'm using IEmailProperties at the moment) which provides a link to a modal form?
For example:
User clicks button in webpart, form loads.
User fills out form and submits it to SP list.
Form sends email on submission. Email has a link to the actual item created, so when the user clicks the provided email link, it opens up the modal form.
I would presume that the user would HAVE to be sent to the SP page where the webpart is unconditionally, but would it be possible to open up the modal corresponding to the SP list item?
Is this feature available in SharePoint framework, because if it isn't, compared to something like InfoPath 2013 or PowerApps it's quite a limitation.
I've researched this with several shallow Google searches and on gitHub for any premade stuff, but alas there is nothing that I've spotted.
I've been told IT IS possible:
"Yeah, they’d have to visit the page. Email clients don’t do JavaScript so you can’t really do interactive stuff there. If you want to take them directly to a page that then displays a modal, that’s plenty possible though. (e.g. display the modal based on if the URL contains a certain string)"
But wouldn't know how to do the above, can anyone start me on the right path?
Regards,
T
In the email, pass a query string containing the item ID/list ID etc of the item, then have the webpart read the See: How can I get query string values in JavaScript? If your values exist. If they do exist, then open the modal using some kind of framework like bootstrap or fluent UI. You can write your own form using PnPjs or use an iframe potentially to display the OOTB edit form.
Additionally, you can link to any page in SharePoint provided you use an extension instead of a webpart to host the modal. You can install extensions tenant wide, and have it listen for the query string.

Can I read a value from one SharePoint web part into the the form for a list in another web part?

I'm not sure if it's possible to do what I'm hoping, but maybe I'll get lucky. It has to do with setting form fields in a SharePoint 2010 list, using InfoPath forms.
Basically, I have one list with requests from several vendors. Each vendors has their own requests page which is a Web Part Page with one web part: a list of submissions with a custom view applied that filters it only to them. This is a (clunky but functional) way to ensure each vendor only sees their own requests. To submit a new request, they click on the "Add Item" link at the bottom of the list web part. At this point, a customized InfoPath form pops up, and they add their request.
In the form, one of the fields is "Vendor". What I would like to achieve is to have the InfoPath form read something on the page which tells it which vendor's page it was called from and pre-select that vendor (I could then disable the control so they couldn't change it). I am happy to alter the calling page as needed, or to configure the InfoPath form (can you custom-configure GET or POST values or anything to define a field that way?).
Any help would be very appreciated.

How to integrate DTM (Dynamic Tag Management) with AEM 6?

I am a newbie to Adobe DTM (Dynamic Tag Management) and have not done any kind of training related to it. However, I have been given a requirement to integrate DTM with AEM 6. I Have some requirements related to Omniture where certain events on the website are tracked and that information needs to be sent to DTM. I have followed steps described on this blog (http://blogs.adobe.com/aemtutorials/2013/07/24/customize-the-client-context/) to customize the client context by creating a new session store and storing some sample data inside it. Now, next part is to retrieve this data into DTM which I am completely unaware on how to do. What is need to achieve in particular is to create a new data element as shown in the screenshot below and write some custom java script to access the data stored inside the client context (which is present in the session store) as explained in the blog mentioned.
I have no idea on how to integrate DTM with AEM instance and how to get hold of that data needed using the script. There is no info available on the internet regarding this, hence request you to help me in case anybody have worked on such a requirement earlier. Any help is highly appreciated
Step 1 - Set up DTM cloud services configuration in AEM. You may find cloud services config at /etc/cloudservices/dynamictagmanagement.html
Step 2 - Apply the above cloud config to the root of your website using the page property. This will insert the required JS scripts and JS object into the DOM. You could also do step (1) & (2) together by manually inserting header and footer code (from DTM) into the template.
Step 3 - Supply data to DTM JS object. This you could populate the data from server side or at client side using JS. You could leverage client context as well. JS APIs available to query client context.
PS: Am also a learner on this.

You can use data elements with custom script like this:
e.g. dataElement authorizableId is custom script with content
return CQ_Analytics.ClientContext.get("/profile/authorizableId");
or
dataElement pageTitle
return CQ_Analytics.PageDataMgr.getProperty("title”);
This is how I implemented it. Please note that this implementation is for integrating with flat HTML files. Where we need to add the scripts in Head tag.
Pre-requisites:
1. We need to have login credentials for DTM website.
We need to have admin rights.
We need sc3.omniture site credentials. This is usually provided by Adobe team.
From Omniture console we need to generate the AppMeasurement.js file.
From AppMeasurement.js file we need to get important details like:
a. Tracking Server Name
b. s_account name
c. Visitor namespace
Connecting HTML files to DTM:
Login to https://dtm.adobe.com with admin credentials.
Click on Project dashboard
Click on Embed tab on top navigation.
Enable Host on Akamai.
Expand Header Code widget and copy the code.
Paste that code in the tag of your HTML.
Go back to DTM again. Expand Footer Code widget and copy the code.
Paste that code to the tag of your HTML.
Configuring DTM for Direct Call Rules:
1. Go to Rules tab from top navigation.
2. Click on Direct Call Rules from left navigation now.
Click on create rule.
Give it a name in the Name section.
Expand Conditions widget.
Pay close attention to the Conditions textbox. Direct Call Rules are fired using the _satelitte.track() method, and the text you enter in the Conditions textbox will be the argument you pass in this method. We entered “change-offer-submit”, so to fire this Direct Call Rule, we will use _satelitte.track(“change-offer-submit”) as you will see in the code below.
Now use the Adobe Analytics section to set up a custom link.
Below is the code that sets up our form and its validation. Notice the way the DTM _satelitte.track() is used. Each of the arguments passed in the _satelitte.track() method matches the Condition textbox in separate DTM rules.
HTML
<div class="outer-btn">
<input class="input-btn analyticsEvent" type="button" value="Submit" data-eventName="change-offer-submit">
</div>
JavaScript
<script>
jQuery('.analyticsEvent').on('click',function() {
window.console.log('Logged Event: ' + jQuery(this).attr('data-eventName'));
_satellite.track(jQuery(this).attr('data-eventName'));
location.href='./landingPage.html';
});
</script>
This has been superseded by a tool added to DTM in the June 2016 release, ContextHub was added in 6.1 as beta, in 6.2 it reached feature parity with ClientContext. It saves a lot of time building data layers as a lot of it will be there already .

Form (phpmailer) in joomla error

I'm having the following problem, i created a folder (named 'forms') to storage the files of phpmailer, then i have to put the action in the form this way: action="forms/mail.php".
But when i tried the form it open a not found page e in the url it appears this: "perfilo/index.php/forms/mail.php", i tried to delete the part "index.php/" and execute the script and it looks like would work without it.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this "index.php/" part? Am i doing something wrong or what?
Thanks
You are on the wrong track.
Search for documentation on using Joomla! Mailer.
Some resources to get you started:
JFactory/getMailer
How To Send Email from Your Joomla Extension
You are on the wrong path.
In joomla you need to implement a contact form.You can implement it like following.
Joomla Provides you a default component com_contact Any of the files from com_contact\views\contact\tmpl\ or you can create new layout with your custom design.
And you can access the files in url via wwww.domain.com/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&layout=default or your custom layout.
then joomla itself providing some forms if you want to customize that you can do that too.
The action they set in the form to contact controller. and sending the mail.
I got your point of view you are trying to create custom design and set it as article .
If you want to follow your own method.
You can work like this.
the form action leave as empty.
and onclick you have to set the action via jquery and then submit
Hope this may solve your issues

Symfony2 get search via forms and links

In Symfony 2 I tried to create a little search engine. The search consists of a form and some links (like facets on solr). I managed to set up the search form with form binding, creating special searchobject class in entitiess and all this via form post request. For purpose of saving previous searches I saved the complete search object in session serialized.
My question(s) would be:
How to use get requests with a form without outputting form name? Is using forms via get valid in Symfony 2? What is the best practice?
Many sites made with Symfony 2 I see are using www.url.com/search?q=thequery&param2=xxx.
If it's valid, how would I prefill the form? Are there some examples to look at?
(PS: if using the form the way it works now, the url stays the same eg. www.url.com/seach)
Just try to change you html form declaration to specify method="GET".
And that's all, you can create your form as usual. :)
