Iphone - Writing a media player with lyrics - iphone

I want to write a simple media player which displays lyrics that are retrieved from the web.
I know once LyricWiki was such a source, but now no longer exists.
Does a new API or source for lyrics exist that I can use ?
When I do get the lyrics, how do I sync them with song ?
I know the MPMediaItem class has the MPMediaItemPropertyLyrics but this is cleary not enough for me cause this is only for songs from Itunes and not all of them have lyrics available.
I would appreciate any help or links that can I use to sort this issue.

A little Googling and I found a few options that might solve your problem:
First, LyricWiki does still exist. It's moved to lyrics.wikia.com. It seems that their API, however crops the lyrics, due to licensing.
LyricsFly
ChartLyrics. Looks the most promising to me, though I haven't actually tried any of the services myself (yet).
I'd like to hear which works for you the best, should any of them.

https://developer.musixmatch.com
it's an Official and Authorized lyrics api

The synced lyrics api are expensive. following do the job but dont know how expensive they are.

What may be the possible causes that my cast is failing

I am trying to make a vehicle selection system in ue4 with blueprints.
I have followed this video.
Below are the screenshots of my code.
screenshot1 and
screenshot2
firstly I tried to figure out what is happening to my code then I came to know that the cast was not succedding and hence the car is being spawned but not posessed.
please help me by listing some reasons that may be responsible for this.
if you want any info so I have given the link of the video which I have used to make the system.
thanks in advance.
I found the answer
I just searched it on Google and found it here:

Where can I find a feed of App Store new releases?

Not sure this is the correct forum for this, and if it isn't, my apologies in advance.
Is there a feed of App Store new releases somewhere? Or a feed/list of apps with their category and release date?
This listing is gone from the App Store proper and I'd like to see if it would be possible to make an app to replace it's functionality.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/rss/newapplications/limit=100/xml
You can build your own category-specific feed here: https://rss.itunes.apple.com/us/
PS: Only added this answer because Linuxios' answer leads to a page with an XML error because 300 results doesn't seem allowed. I tried with 200 and it worked so it seems a bit odd.

google earth tour error

In the past I had successfully created several Google Earth tours complete with audio and animation. As best I can remember, I looked at one of my tours 2weeks ago? and things were working fine.
But I look at the tours now on both my local machine and my host web server and the google earth tours have disappeared. When I look in firebug at where the code should be, I see the following error:
Failed to process gadget http://code.google.com/apis/kml/embed/tourgadget.xml. Reason: Unable to retrieve spec for... code.google.com/apis/kml/embed/tourgadget.xml. HTTP error 404
I have not changed anything within my code, so am completely at a loss.
Can anyone share what might have happened or what I need to do to get my GEs going again?
My web site is www.kavelookout.com...See www.kavelookout.com/fingers.html for where a tour should be.
UPDATE:
I believe this is the GE tour gadget code I need...
http://www.gmodules.com/ig/creator?synd=open&url=http://code.google.com/apis/kml/embed/tourgadget.xml
but as you can see, clicking on the 'More info...' link takes me to... google.com/ig/directory?synd=open&url=http://…
Does anyone know why GE Gadgets is not working at this time? Or what link I should be using to embed GE Tours? Can anyone confirm that GE Tours are having a problem, or is it me?
Much Thanks,
k
You should notice that the pages you're trying to process are no longer available, so, that's the nature of the error.
Check the link, it sais that the page is not being found, that's why you're getting a 404 error.
So I figured it out.
The embed code that was generated in the past was...
script src="http:// www.gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://code.google.com/apis/kml/embed/tourgadget.xml
I'm not sure why or when it changed, but I found that the GE Tour gadget at this URL...
http://www.gmodules.com/ig/creator?synd=open&url=http://dl.google.com/developers/maps/tourgadget.xml
...now generates this new embed code...notice the differences...
script src="//www.gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://dl.google.com/developers/maps/tourgadget.xml
Again, I'd love to know why things changed, but am happy to know there is an answer.

iPhone Dev - Creating a one time UIAlertView like in Temple Run

You know how Temple Run sometimes has alerts when you open the App that appear even though you don't update the App? I understand how you would implement this if you were to submit an update to your App, but how does Imangi implement new alerts without releasing new versions of the App? (I'm assuming they upload it from some server, but I'm an amateur at all of that stuff so could someone sorta vaguely explain how I might go about doing that? Will I need to learn Internet programming languages :O?)
Thanks.
I agree with Jonathan. I would set a plist with a reference number on your server. and it would look something like this. I'm using concept, not code. It would be as simple as hosting it on your server. Or it could be as complicated as your creating a user interface on your website that allows you to just plug in the information and it would create the plist for you.
-(void)checkanddisplaynotificationbasedonupdatedplistontheserver{
int currentnotificationnumber = userprefs preference for item "notification"
get and parse notification.plist from your server
notificationnumber = object at index 0
if notificationnumber > currentnotificationnumber{
display your notification with parsed plist
}
}
You could host a plist online, with an array of alerts stored as dictionaries, with attributes like 'title', 'body' etc. The app would then parse this and to create an alert. You could then set up a method which searches for updates to this file every time the app opens and has connectivity.
This is not the only way - there are probably hundreds of other files types/ automated systems to use, however this is a simple way, and roughly how all of them work, and I have implemented something like this in some of my apps. Hope this helps, if you wan't any help coding it, I will be happy to help!
Jonathan

Facebook Video Plays and Photo views

page_video_plays and page_photo_views are deprecated from the insights usually when this happens there is a different way you can get that data, does anyone know how I can keep getting this?
Just in case somebody is searching for this, check Metric Substitution
it has some replacement for deprecated metrics
Ex. Video_plays can be obtained from page_consumptions_by_consumption_type
