Using gdata is the way to go as Robin mentioned above. Here is a great article that outlines what you need to do and provides a great set of source code to get you started.
Hope this helps!!

IPhone: Video API: Live video streaming modify

I have a question about video stream processing. Is it possible to get access and modify real time video stream during recording (f.e. I want to add some text to video)? I can do this as a preview by getting separate frames, but I'm looking for tool which will allow me to store video with my text in video frames.
Probably there is already some libraries/tools available (but I haven't found any yet).
Try GPUIMAGE library. It can help you.
You should check AVCam sample code by apple. That might be a starting point.

tutorial using gstreamer for saving photos and videos from web cam

I know that i have to use gstreamer for creating an application to capture photo and videos
from web cam. But, i could not find any documentation describing vividly the steps for creating the
same. It will be very pleased,if any one could helped me in this.

iSight
There is a GNOME/vala tutorial in the work that shows you how to make a Gtk application to grab pictures:
https://developer.gnome.org/gnome-devel-demos/3.10/magic-mirror.vala.html.en
Saving a video is left for you to do, you'll have to use a tee to have both live preview and recording simultaneously.
Also, there is a high-level object, camerabin, for your case, but I never used it myself.
Camerabin is being used by libcheese, that is even higher level and depends on Clutter (but not Gtk), and allows you to plug effects with cheese_camera_set_effect().

Creating YouTube videos in iPhone app

I'm doing a project where we want to create a video inside an iPhone app and upload it to YouTube. I've seen the you upload the video using Google's Data API (http://code.google.com/p/gdata-objectivec-client/).
However it seems that you need to upload the movie as an actual movie. Has anyone got any experience on making a movie in a format that YouTube will accept via the Data API and care to give me a few pointers on what would work?
(Just a quick note, I cannot use hidden APIs for this project)
Many thanks
Youtube accepts a broad range of formats. Just try it yourself, use any free video editing software to create a short movie and upload that movie to youtube, you're almost guaranteed that youtube would be able to process that.
The second part of your question is whether ios is able to produce a movie from still frames, then the answer is - yes - and you want to look at AVFoundation, particularly at AVAssetWriter

Getting duration of video taken by camera iphone sdk

I am trying to get the duration of a video taken with the camera using UIImagePickerController on the iphone, has anyone found a solution to this?
Thanks
Daniel
You can now do this using AVFoundation you can make your movie into an AVAsset and then check the duration property
Oh, why, hello hopelessly obsolete answer. I'm afraid you're only left here as historical evidence that yes, before iOS 4 if you wanted to do anything remotely interesting on a recorded video (besides playing it) you had to implement the processing yourself.
I don't know of any framework function to do so, so I'm afraid you'll have to parse the video container yourself (which by the way, is QuickTime/.mov) to extract this info. It's not like it's not documented. Luckily since the provider is known, you can trust all info to be truthful, which you can't assume of random videos found on the web.

Best way to stream MP3 from an iPhone app?

I am working on an application that will stream music from a server of mine from an iPhone application.
This is my first iPhone app so I am a bit confused :
What would be the best way to do
this?
Is there something already built in
that I could use, like a MP3 player
that I just need to point toward the
correct server?
Do I need a streaming server to do
so?
I'm relatively new to Objective-C/Cocoa (touch), but I have read an article on the cocoawithlove site titled "Streaming and playing an MP3 stream" and tested the sample code on my iPhone and it works perfectly. I don't know about the licensing or anything, if you would be able to use it, but I'm sure someone or even you can figure that out.
Sorry again for not being able to provide any more information or even a link. This is my first answer on SO and cannot post hyperlinks :(
