I can only find version 3.2.1 which was released in 2007. Is there a new one?
If you're using Eclipse IDE for Java EE developers, you already get the tools to create Dynamic Web Projects and integrated servletcontainers (which are part of Web Tools Platform, WTP).
The latest WTP release is 3.2.2 from Sept 2010 and this supports up to Tomcat 7, but it's better to go for the integrated IDE rather than just the WTP.

This was happening in older version of Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java and Web Developers. This issue is corrected in the version 3.28 of Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java and Web Developers.
If you have the Standard Edition of Eclipse, you can add
'Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java and Web Developers'. This will add the version 3.22 of the software. You can then check for updates and update it to version 3.28
I have installed webspehere Application Server on my machine.
I have also installed Eclipse kepler SR 2.
I want to create a websphere profile, however in Eclipse I don't see 'Websphere' under Windows->Preferences->Servers-> ?
I am not sure if I am missing any plugin?
You need to download WebSphere Developer Tools to your Eclipse. WDT support 3 latest versions of Eclipse, so at this moment (17.10) - Mars, Neon and Oxygen, although it usually works with older also. You will need Eclipse for Java EE developers.
The easiest way is either start from this page Download Liberty in Eclipse or just find WDT via Eclipse Marketplace.
If you plan to develop for traditional WebSphere you will find server tools here - WebSphere Developer Tools for Eclipse Oxygen.
Does anyone know where I can find the most recent feature comparison document for Spring IDE plugin vs SpringSource Tool Suite STS (version 3.3.0)?
I believe Eclipse made some good progress in Kepler release, (for example Maven support being shipped in) so was wondering if the feature gap between Eclipse+Spring IDE plugin and STS highlighted in 2.9.2 Feature Comparison were reduced in Eclipse Java EE Kepler.
There is not much difference now between Eclipse + Spring-IDE and STS. The main difference is that when you download STS, you are guaranteed that all the bits and pieces work together. When you install Eclipse + Spring-IDE, you may have some compatibility problems and trouble installing or upgrading.
My advice is this: if you already have an Eclipse that has custom plugins installed, then go with Eclipse + Spring-IDE and if you are starting from scratch, go with STS.
I am trying some of the new features which are only available in Glassfish4(development build).
My current eclipse plugin does not allow me to connect to glassfish4 - there's no 4.x version in the list.
Is there any way I can make it work? I would like to deploy/start the app from eclipse.
If you are using an Eclipse that is older than Juno... you cannot work with GlassFish 4.
If you have Juno, you can install a plugin that allows you to register GlassFish 4 server run-times. BE SURE TO READ https://blogs.oracle.com/piotrik/entry/new_version_of_glassfish_eclipse before you attempt to update your current GlassFish plugin. If you do not have a GlassFish plugin installed in Juno, you can probably ignore almost all of the content of that page.
If you have Kepler M6 installed, you can try out the GlassFish server adapter (GFSA) and the GlassFish 4 run-time plugin (GF4RTP). The GFSA is available here: http://download.java.net/glassfish/eclipse/kepler
The latest update of the GFSA for Kepler should play nicely with the Java EE 7 features that got integrated into Kepler's milestone 6 release.

They are not 'production quality' and are being made available to get feedback from users willing to give them a try. Pick the Mars (or the version you have downloaded such as Luna, Kepler, etc) repository

To get all of the features of the Java EE edition of Eclipse, there are several packages that need to be installed. This page lists all of the packages that are included in the current Java EE version of Eclipse. If you want all of the features of the Eclipse for Java EE developers, go to Help --> Install New Software..., select the update site for your version (e.g. Kepler) from the dropdown menu, and select the checkbox for each item listed on the above page that is not already installed.
You'll probably find the 'getting started guides' here helpful.

Eclipse 3.3 or earlier, it is NOT possible to upgrade the Eclipse platform itself, only its features. So, you could for example upgrade the CVS feature or the PDE feature from 3.2.0 to 3.2.1, but not eclipse.exe itself.

Upgrading other features (like CDT, PDT, WTP...) can be done without the need to download a new platform binary, but because many projects align very closely (eg., the Eclipse 3.2 / Callisto or Eclipse 3.3 / Europa release trains) you will likely need to upgrade the Eclipse platform as well.
