Server not visible in client - postgresql

I'm trying to add a server in pgAdmin 3 to get started, but somehow server is not added. I fill all the fields as described here but after OK button is pressed client writes in the bottom left corner "Connecting to database.... Done." and that's it. I presume it's quite trivial, but can't figure out what's wrong. Please, help.
NOTE: Using win xp.

Your sure after you see the done text there is no server group name in the Object Browser?
Normally after you see the done message click on the server name in the object browser. You named this when you created your connection. Once you click it, it will open up a tree view of objects for you to explore.

My Node Red dashboard disappeared, my app says "not running" but won't restart

I am starting from the position of near absolute ignorance here.
I successfully set up a Bluemix account, added devices, got API keys, connected my Raspberry Pi running Node Red and a temperature sensor to Node Red on Bluemix, created a dashboard and was able to get data back and forth between Watson/Bluemix and my Pi. Cool. Unfortunately, I got all that way without ever really understanding the navigation of Watson/Bluemix nor all the terminology. I made NR work both ways and was happy.
Then one day last week, the route to my Bluemix Node Red application stopped being accessible:
404 Not Found: Requested route ('misterpi-01.mybluemix.net') does not exist.
I can browse my devices and see that they are sending data every few minutes, so clearly the connection is there. When I click on IBM Cloud Apps, I am told
There are no IBM Cloud applications bound to your organization
When I am on my IBM Cloud Dashboard and I click on Connections I see I have a connected application that is "Not Running" with a red dot. I can click Stop and the status goes to Stopped. When I click Start, after a short while,
I cannot add an another app because I can only have one.
Where did my NR app go and can I get it back (preferred) and if not, delete it?
At the suggestion of #hardillb I went looking for logs. I found them and it looks like the app is continuously started and crashing. I can't copy the text from the error logs but here is a screenshot.
The first thing you should do is get a copy of your flow source for backup. Go into the IBM Cloud Dashboard and click on Cloudant-ll (the suffix may be different?) and then Launch Cloudant Dashboard (alternatively, click on ...-cloudantNoSQLDB and then alias of Cloudant-ll). From there click on NodeRed and then select the id that ends with "/flow". Then you can extract everything inside "flow": [].
I would recommend emptying it out so you have no flows to ensure that Bluemix can start 'empty'. If you do this you will end up with something similar to mine below (don't change _rev).
{
"_id": "Home Assistant/flow",
"_rev": "102-2b38e1756eeb26def19b20858bc50a40",
"flow": []
}
Later you can paste the extracted code back into Node Red using Import > Clipboard.
You may also want to edit the ".../settings" document to remove any extra node types you installed.
Caveat - I had the same problems with Bluemix and eventually gave up - crashing at least weekly running out of memory and difficulty restarting. I suspect it can't reliably run with 256MB.
I had similar issues with log/errors and endpoint 404:
I followed Michaels advice to backup (nodered:flows and settings) in cloudant.
1. However what works(for now) was cleaning part of the nodered /settings.
2. Basically I removed the nodes part from the Json up until almost the end, leave _credentialSecret part at the end.
3. restart and go to your url, you will see your flows
4. if your flows use some nodes that produce warnings, it might be necessary to remove them to avoid future problems.
UPDATE 2: I saved every flow separately, and then deleted them all from the nodered flows. Then restarted, and have been importing one by one, and it is working.

RubyMine connect to database

I'm using latest version of RubyMine and when I try to connect to my docker container database, I see the database, but not any of the tables etc.
If I use an external program such as Psequal using the exact same credentials, it works fine so I know I'm using the correct credentials, IP address etc.
I have raised an issue with JetBrains, but can anyone shed any light on why I'm not seeing the tables?
Figured it out. in the data source properties window (either when creating the data source or by right clicking->properties)
Go to options and tick the box "Introspect using JDBC meta data"
Click apply and you see a downloading progress bar
Once completed, the tables and everything else is viewable.

crystal reports project deployment

I'm trying to deploy my crystal reports windows application project on clients computer.
the problem is I can't to load reports.
I installed CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_1 on client computer to solve the problem
but I encounter another error which appears when I try to load any of reports, the error is :
unhandled exception has occurred in your application, if you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. if you click quit, the application will close immediately,
when I click Continue button, my report loads without any data loaded.
what is the solution? the error detail is :
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.
It sounds like the path to the data source is incorrect I would recommend ensuring that the path not only exists but has the right permissions.
thanks a lot,
I used manual addressing in assigning report file for my reportDocument.load() method
when program loads on client computer, address goes invalid.
the problem solved!
instad of using reportDocument and manual addressing I make new object from each report file (which haves .cs class) and assing it to crystalreportwiewer.reportsource:
Rad.ExecuteForms.Forms.Reports.CrystalReport1 noticeMainReport = new Reports.CrystalReport1();
noticeMainReport.SetDataSource(Main);
noticeMainReport.VerifyDatabase();
crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = noticeMainReport;

Asp.Net and External DLL

i'm writing a web application that works with an external dll (activex),
the dll was written by skype developers,
the problem is that,
in a case of any event (status changing, attachment, etc..) in the client side, a delegate needs to be call on the server side.
so when i'm changing a status in the skype program, it seem that a postback really happen but there is no affect on the client side.
for example , i'm trying to change a label content by his new value from the server side (using label that runat server) but nothing change.
i succedded to make a java script interval
so when it recognize any changes
it replace the content of the label.
i preffer not to use it because the dll already support that events.
thanks in advance.
It seems that your problem is simulating a post-back to make the label change its contents. If so, this link might be helpful:

How can I get rid of a persistent VBA Form Object that won't honor the form deletion?

I have an MS Access 2003 database that I'm using to develop a basic little inventory app. I have added some extraneous forms along the way and I wanted to get them out of the DB. I deleted most of them just fine but one of them appears to have left behind its VBA Object. All that's in the object is Option Compare Database. Now whenever I try to work with the database, I get the following error:
The form name 'Transaction1' is misspelled or refers to a form that doesn't exist.
If the invalid form name is a macro, ...
Truncated for typings sake.
Yes, I agree, the form doesn't exist. What confuses me so much is that all of the other forms, when I deleted them, also destroyed their VBA object as well. This one, no matter what, seems to like to stick around and I have no idea how to get rid of it.
How do I get rid of it?
Things I've tried:
Compact and Repair and the DB
Create a new form named what it's expecting, verify that it gets rid of the problem, and then delete that form.
You can try the /decompile switch
Make a backup of your mdb
Open your mdb (hold the SHIFT key down to stop any code from running) via a short
cut: msaccess.exe database.mdb /decompile
Open a module and compile your app
Save and close Access
Open again (SHIFT again) without decompile
Compact and repair database
close Access
I had similar problem. I found I had named the missing form in the STARTUP menu as the default form to open when starting Access. I opened Tools>Startup and deleted the missing forms name from the "Display/Form/Page" field of the Startup. My problem solved.
The problem I was having is that the form was named ~TMPCLP8151 and would not show up in Access no matter what I tried, but I could see it in VBA in the Project Explorer. Here's how I resolved the issue. I created a new form, and created an Event Procedure for Form_Open that contained this:
DoCmd.DeleteObject acForm, "~TMPCLP8151"
Then I just opened the form, and sure enough, the VB code deleted the form that I could not delete myself.
I had a same problem. I created a form with same name and deleted the form again. That fixed the peoblem. Try. BTW try to open the new form in design mode to make sure if the VBA module is assosiated with the new form.
I had to combine both solutions to achieve the goal.
First de- and recompile
next compact and repair
then create new form with the same name and delete it
Pay attention that the form has the status Hasmodule set to Yes
I had this problem. I renamed my default form from Form Login to frmLogin which suits my naming style, but the program was still looking for it on opening. I am using 2013 so I went to File » Options » CurrentDB and in the display dropdown select the new name. The old name remains in the list until you close and restart the application.
