is that possible we can get the information from facebook API whether graph or REST or FQL regarding user sharing. Such as video or post or anything can share via facebook and it is shared by a list of user, with profile id or user name. I found something like this http://appshack.tv/2011/03/likes/ but it is just the counter, lack of information. Any way can do? Coz I found that facebook not stated everything in the documentation. Some trick is found from third party side.
No you can't get the user ids. Facebook will do their best NOT to share the user id with you "unless" they (the users) authorize your application.
And guess what....you can't even get the list of the users who are using YOUR application! (You can only get the count!)

You need ID of the concerned user which can't be achieved without using the Facebook Login, since Facebook login is the starting point to get the current user info (/me).
Search API could have helped you since you have the email ids of users, but unfortunately this api doesn't support user search with email!
So, answer is simple- NO, you cannot get the ID (profile link) of the user without using the facebook login.
Not that I can think of. Facebook's Graph API gives you some public info but that info given depends on the users Facebook's settings on what is public or not. You could maybe get some users profile picture but not others, making it not a very viable option for practical use. Hope that helps
I am new to Facebook API. I am building a Facebook app to fetch all the name of people who shared, commented and liked a post in a tabular format. I am able to get the like and comment details through Facebook API but can not find and proper API to get the share details.

This API is returning an empty result set. And I have granted all the available permission to the access_tokn. Can anyone tell me ,Is there any other API that I can use. I saw a option of scraping the Facebook page for share,but I don't want to go that way because Facebook keeps on updating every thing.
I'm having the same problem as you, but I think I'm going a little step forward.
Try adding a limit to your sharedposts and maybe it will return some data:
Try this way:
https://graph.facebook.com/post_id/sharedposts?access_token=my_access_token&limit=1000
That should work for a regular post.
EDIT: Maybe the problem could be that althought you have granted all the perms to the token, the people who share that posts have to accept that permission too.
Otherway your JSON won't return any data.
The /sharedposts endpoint will -only- retrieve posts from users who have -also- granted your app. This means that even though a post might be public on a users' timeline, unless they have also granted your app permissions, you will not be able to retrieve that post.
For example: a user posted to a page and the post is public. This post can be retrieved with an access token. Let's assume that the user also shared this post to their own timeline. But, since the user has not granted permissions to your app, you will not be able to see this post using the /sharedposts edge on the original post (on the page). This also holds if the user shared their post publicly to his timeline.
This behaviour is by design; the API is more restrictive in returning user data than the website is. This holds for multiple endpoint and this is one of the examples where it is the case.

I am planning to build a small side project that stores posts from particular public pages. And detect if they delete the post later. Something similar has been done for Twitter. But I couldn't find similar projects for Facebook.

The only way to check if a post is not there anymore on Facebook is to search for it with a User Access Token of the User who posted it. Every Object on Facebook gets a specific ID, you only have to check if that ID still exists. If not, you get an Error from the API.

The path parameter is the ID of the Post.
Keep in mind that you need the read_stream permission for that, and you need to let Facebook approve it for other users or it will only work for Admins/Devs of your App. It is not very likely that you will get the permission approved for this though. It usually only gets approved for Apps on "Platforms without a native Facebook experience".
Edit: My bad, i was thinking about User posts, but your question was about Pages. In that case, all you need is an App Access Token (App-ID|App-Secret). The API Call would be the same, you just need to know the Post ID.

You can use graph api for this. If it's a public page, you can follow these steps:
Create your application in Facebook developers site
Setup the basic graph auth mechanism with your favorite language and get unexpired token.
Use your unexpired access token to do these tasks:
Enter the id of the pages you want to crawl http://graph.facebook.com/[insert page id or url here]/feed
Add post title, postID to your database.
Create a scheduled task on your server to do these tasks:
Select all / page based etc posts on your database and send a request to: http://graph.facebook.com/[insert post ID here]
if it returns it means it's still there. otherwise it will return an error.
I'm trying to find an API call (or set of calls) that will allow an app to get the posts that one would see if viewing a friend's wall. Either a REST call or a FQL call would do.
I tried /feed and /posts, compare the results with what I see on my friend's wall, and the results I get from it are incomplete.
I know this is possible because apps like Friendly are able to do it.

Well, there's two different API endpoints for querying the posts of a given user; home and feed. Home includes posts from other people and pages (basically what you see when you log in and go to your home page) and feed is the stuff the user is sharing. Assuming your application has authenticated the user and they've allowed the read_stream permission, you can then make queries to the Graph API using their access token:
https://graph.facebook.com/{SOME_USER_NAME}/home?access_token={SOME_ACCESS_TOKEN}
and
https://graph.facebook.com/{SOME_USER_NAME}/feed?access_token={SOME_ACCESS_TOKEN}
The only hint I could give you is that "incomplete" is pretty standard with the Facebook API. You can only do the best you can with what they give you. Counts will be wrong. Data will be wrong. It's a fluctuating, moving target, so code to that fact.
You can interact with posts by retrieving the read_stream and publish_stream for a given User's ID.
Once you have the ID of the User that you are interested in you can use FQL to retrieve posts from streams that you have the permissions for.

We do it like this:
1) we use Facebook Platform PHP5 client
2) then what you do is:

but, afaik, it will work only with pages, not with normal users. but dig that way to get answer.

I'd like to know if there is a possibility to check (using Graph API or any other way) whether given user likes / shares a specific link. Probably I'll have this user's facebook ID or facebook login, but my site is non-Facebook application. Actually it's Dot Net Nuke portal (target: .NET with MS SQL Server) with part of it being avaliable as Facebook app, but certainly not greater part of it, so the solution should be out of Facebook Connect, although it's not a showstopper if it's necessary.
We'll be giving points to users who share/like most of links that we serve in our portal and such possibility would be a great help to make a ranking.
Another option we consider is making some kind of "wrapper" or proxy for FB like / share buttons which will at first save some data in our database (probably - this user clicked on like for this link) and then go on with standard FB like / share route. Did anybody of You tried such solution?

It is possible to know if a user has LIKED a site or not. You can get all user's likes with Graph API (you need user_likes permission). Take a look at the docs: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/user/
I'm not sure if you can know if he has shared your site, but you could try by parsing his wall with the read_stream permission and then look for your site name/URL post by post.
For just general liking of items on your site, you can use a Facebook Social Plugin. However, you won't be able to associate (or really even access) user activity with users on your site without integrating Facebook Connect and creating a Facebook application for your site. At that point you can design with greater control all the possible user activity and interleave with your facebook calls other calls that affect users' accounts on your site.
