iphone menu like tap tap - iphone

hi guys how do I make a menu like the one that tap tap "where to" app uses, (circular menu, that gets highlited when touched)
As I saw in some wwdc video they explain the design behind this app, they explain that the menu was a table that goes to a view before being placed in the circle, so it haves a nav bar after an item has been chosen,
I saw this link designing convertbot, they explain the design for their menu but not the coding or how it works (noob here!)
ok thanks a lot!

I have found something kind of similar
tapsandswipes
using core animation.
Would be possible to roll own menu

Blackberry 10 Left Slider

The menu slider that the menu is popping out from the left side of the screen is awesome.
"I was just trying to see how it can be emulated in my application.
Any one has a clue how it can be achieved?"
I want it to look exactly like on the picture, with menu items on the left.
There is a similar Android Question
You can use TabbedPane for that purpose, having left menu populated with set of Actions. However, usage of TabbedPane means you have to use Tabs.
In your case, you'll most likely have to use Actions menu which pops out from the right side as this complies with Blackberry Design Guidelines and fits your goals as I can see it from the screenshot provided better.

iPhone app with a 'Left' nav.

I've been asked to create an iphone app with a left nav/menu. Since there are no native UI components to use for this, I was wondering what would be the best way to achieve this. The only app that I remember that had this kind of thing was the Facebook app from about 18months ago.
Is there a good 3rd party API to handle this kind of thing?
Description of the left nav: There is a permanent left nav along the left of the screen running the full length of the screen. When the user selects a menu option a UIView/UIViewController slide in from the right side and covers over the menu. A little button is left stuck to the left side of the screen. If the user selects this button the view slides back to the right again, and the leftnav menu appears from underneath the view and it is possible to interact with again.
Where is the problem? just create a UIView with subview containing UIButtons, you have to layout the buttons yourself (calculate the frame). Later you add that leftmenuView to the UiViewCobtroller.

iTunes U style download/progress/stop/play button

iTunes U for the iPhone has these wonderful buttons that show
the download progress
the stop button and the
play button (well, the "i" button)
in one place - see attached screenshot. Is this a system icon which can be called by code, or is it something thats not available for developers?
Anyhow: if someone has a source, that describes how to get such kind of buttons, I'd be very happy. It's clear to me, that the icons are controlled by a state-pattern in view-controller.
Thanks in advance.
There is DACircularProgress on github, it looks just like the circular progress bar on the Facebook app, I think you can take that, modify it to put the stop button on top and change the color and use it. check it out:

drop down lists in xcode

Ive got a button in a UICell. I want a list(a table view like view to be precise) to dropdown when the user touches the button and dissappear when he touches it again.Googling didnt get me any solutions:-(
Any suggestions on sites to refer would also be appreciated..
There is nothing quite like what you want in UIKit. I would recommend building the sample "UICatalog" application and playing around with it to see if anything does what you need. If it does not, you will need to create your own control.

How do I create a simple two-screen iPhone app?

I've gone through most of the example code and I still need some help. I want to make an uber-simple app: show one screen at startup with a label and a button. click the button and we slide over to another screen (I suppose these are called views) which has another label and the "back" button in the top menu bar. I just want to click back and forth between the two screens.
How do I do this?
Take a look at the NavBar sample on Apple's Developer website. http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/samplecode/NavBar/index.html
You'll need to use a UINavigationController to accomplish the "slide"/"back button" behavior you're talking about. It is as simple as you might think, as long as the app is setup correctly. Essentially, UINavigationControllers allow you to push and pop instances of UIViewController or subclasses thereof, and take care of the animation and view history tracking for you.
The best way to get started, by far, is just open XCode, choose "New Project", and start with the "Navigation-Based Application." Dig around that project for a while and I think you'll start to see clearly what needs to be done.
You can checkout how to get started with that using this tutorial: at wattz.net
