I have download and read the GLVideoFrame sample from apple.
It's great code, but i don't understand how it's possible to modify this code for use a movie file instead of video device.

I am using AVfoundation framework to get video camera frames at real time and then modifying those frames using one algorithm(which gives new modified image).
now I want all modified frames to be save as a video to iPhone library. I found a way to save video for input(original) frames using AVCaptureMovieFileOutput but not for modified frames.
Is there any way to save modified frames to iPhone Library as a video ??

Use EXTAudioFileWriteASync to write the contents of the IOBuffer to an audio file object. This can be done in the render callback.
Then when you are done use ExtAudioFileCreateWithURL to save the audio to disk.
I know that I can access raw video images from the iPhone's camera with AVCaptureVideoDataOutput. I also know that I can record video to a file with AVCaptureMovieFileOutput. But how can I first access the raw video images, manipulate them and then write the manipulated ones into the video file? I've already seen apps in the app store, which do this, so it must be possible.
Ok, I now know, that it's done with AVAssetWriter.

The AVCamDemo you mention is close to what you need to do and should be able to use that as reference, among those these are the following classes you need to use in order to achive what you are trying... All the classes are part of AVFoundation, you need
AVCaptureVideoDataOutput and AVCaptutureAudioDataOutput - use these classes to get raw samples from the video camera and the microphone
Use AVAssetWriter and AVAssetWriterInput in order to encode the raw samples into a file - the following sample mac OS X project shows how to use these classes (the sample should work for ios too), however they use an AVAssetReader for input (it reencodes a movie file) instead of the Camera and microphone... You can use the outputs mentioned above as the input in your case to write what you want
That should be all you need in order to achieve what you want to do...

If you are a registered developer, look at the videos from the 2011 WWDC (which you can find by searching in the developer portal). There are two sessions relating to AVFoundation. There was also some sample code from one of the WWDC sessions, which was extremely useful.
I have an iOS app that I want to record some of its visual output into a video. It looks like the way to create a video on iOS is to use AVMutableComposition and feed AVAssets to it via insertTimeRange.
All the documentation and examples that I can find only add video and audio assets to an AVMutableComposition. Is there a way to add image data to it (i.e. add an image for each frame of the video)? I can get this image data as straight RGB, PNG, JPG, UIImage, or whatever is easiest to feed to AV Foundation (if it's even possible).
If it's not possible to feed images into an AVMutableComposition for the video frames, is there another way to generate an .mp4 file from frames in iOS.
