like button internet explorer white box appearing - facebook

I have some code to display a like button and this shows but with a random white box that i dont really want. Works in all other browsers
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en" xmlns:og="http://opengraphprotocol.org/schema/" xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"><body>
<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=<SITE URL>"
scrolling="no" frameborder="0"
style="border:none; width:450px; height:80px"><iframe>
</body>
</html>

I also had this issue.
Closing the iframe tag did not provide a solution to my problem.
Use the following:
<iframe style="visibility:hidden;" onload="this.style.visibility = 'visible';" src="../examples/inlineframes1.html" > </iframe>
This resolved the issue for myself.

You forgot to close the iframe and instead opened another one. Try changing the second <iframe> to </iframe>.

just close the iframe please :)
try this :
<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=<SITE URL>"
scrolling="no" frameborder="0"
style="border:none; width:450px; height:80px"></iframe>

Just add a

show_border=true" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"
style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:250px; height:290px;"
allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/widgets/like.php?href=<? the_permalink(); ?>&layout=button_count&width=450&action=like&colorscheme=light&font&show_faces=false&height=24"
scrolling="no" frameborder="0"
style="border:none;">

new chromedriver: can't send keys to iframe body

Wait-webdriver, chrome-driver
I have the following html code:
<iframe frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" tabindex="0" src="" title="Rich text editor, ctl00_ContentMain_EditSegment1_txtDesc" aria-describedby="cke_27" style="width:100%;height:100%">
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html class="CSS1Compat" lang="en" dir="ltr">
<head>
<title data-cke-title="Rich text editor, ctl00_ContentMain_EditSegment1_txtDesc">Rich text editor, ctl00_ContentMain_EditSegment1_txtDesc</title>
<link href="http:somefile.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

</head>
<body class="cke_show_borders" contenteditable="true" spellcheck="false">

</body>
</html>
</iframe>
I used the following code to set data to the body of the iframe :
#browser.frame(:title => 'Rich text editor, ctl00_ContentMain_EditSegment1_txtDesc').send_keys "description"
Yesterday I updated my chromedriver with new one: https://code.google.com/p/chromedriver/downloads/list
and this line doesn't work for me anymore, but it still works using old chromedriver
Any ideas how can I make it work with new chromedriver?
Thanks,
Anna
Yes, got the same issue. Switched back to old version and got it to work again.
Got all the frameSwitch code in a C# try/catch and no error is given, just an empty textfield.
( Dojo richtext )
The issue fixed in new chromedriver v.2.2:

Facebook Like Box only works in one browser

I have been trying to get a like box on a website that works for more than one browser (chrome) and I can't seem to make it work. I've tried FireFox, Safari, IE and nothing. I could get the default Like Box example to work no problem, but when I use the following code nothing:
<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php?id=114521595255240&width=292&height=300&show_faces=false&colorscheme=light&stream=true&border_color&header=true" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:292px; height:300px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
I also tried:
<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Forlaborersapprenticeship&width=292&height=427&show_faces=false&colorscheme=light&stream=true&border_color&header=true" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:292px; height:427px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
I tried with http: and https:. I tried with & inplace of &any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
Try doing this
<div class="fb-like-box"
data-href="https://www.facebook.com/yourfacebookpage"
data-width="462"
data-height="400"
data-show-faces="false"
data-colorscheme="dark"
data-stream="true"
data-border-color="#333333"
data-header="false">
</div>
Make sure the page is live and has content. If there are no active posts, browsers won't have any content to pull and so won't show the like box. Also, try coding the & to the full html code of &, that helped me.

Add iframe to facebook fan page without onClick method

Is there a way to add an iframe to a facebook page without having to do the onClick functionality?
Right now I am using this code and it works fine except you have to click the link to make it show the iframe?
<!-- Start iframe CODE -->
Like me to show the iFrame link!
<fb:visible-to-connection>
<a onClick="outside_location.setInnerFBML(link_1);" style="cursor: pointer;">Click here to show the iFrame!</a>
</fb:visible-to-connection>
<div id="outside_location"></div>
<fb:js-string var="link_1">
<fb:iframe height="500" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="width:100%; height: 1400px; border:none" src="http://apps.ignitesocialmedia.com/php/facebook/sandbox/tabs/iframe.php"></fb:iframe>
</fb:js-string>
<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
var outside_location = document.getElementById('outside_location');
</script>
<!-- End iframe CODE -->
It seems as though this has been done in a couple places but I cannot figure it out.
