Where can I find the release dates for each past release of the Zend Framework?
I'm constantly referring to blog articles and tutorials in my effort to learn the framework. The articles are usually dated however without knowing the release dates of the framework, its difficult to marry up articles with their intended Zend version.
Thanks!
You dont need to watch for every single version
I think since 1.8 there are no significant changes that may affect the article so if it is from 2009 it should work.
Along with http://framework.zend.com/downloads/archives you may also try to check http://framework.zend.com/changelog
Edit: brief history of major changes
1.0 first release - July 2007
1.5 Zend_Form, Zend_Layout - March 2008
1.8 Zend_Application - April 2009, major difference in bootsraping
1.9 Php 5.3 support - August 2009
1.10 ControllerTestCase - January 2010
1.11 Zend_Cloud - November 2010
You can find the older releases (and their dates) of zend framework here:

According to stuff on the net it's 6.1.2 but according to version number in the files I've got from my coworker, it's higher than so.
EF is delivered by Microsoft so MSDN should be the right place to check. Isn't it?
Please note that I'm not talking abut the Azurific preview version 7. I'm talking about version 6 but a later subversion. Who do we trust here?
I think the best place to check is Nuget !
https://www.nuget.org/packages/EntityFramework
Currently 6.1.3 today
EF 6.1.3 is the latest version at this time, released back in March, and at least officially mentioned in Monday's RTM of VS2015 http://blogs.msdn.com/b/adonet/archive/2015/07/20/entity-framework-and-visual-studio-2015-rtm.aspx
However, 6.1.3 is mostly minor bug fixes, which is why there was little fanfare and mention I believe.
Now latest version as of current date is 6.2.0.
Just for information: Although EF Core was initially named as EF 7.0, yet keep in mind that EF Core is entirely different code base with latest version 2.1.1 as of date. More details on EF core can be found at: https://www.nuget.org/packages/Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore/

I'm interested in ESAPI to use in a production environment.
Is there any official documentation on how to setup properly a web application, and if so, where?
ESAPI has good intentions, it is referenced de facto in OWASP Top 10 issues.
However its main development is not really active. The library is provided as is.
There are two Java libraries depending on the versions:
OWASP Enterprise Security API for Java: version >= 3.x
Maintained by one contributor (Chris Schmidt), last code commit (as of today) was on Nov 20, 2013.
Enterprise Security API for Java (Legacy): version <= 2.x
Maintained by at least 3 contributors, last code commit (as of today) was on May 30, 2015.
There is a wish to have documentation (https://www.owasp.org/index.php/ESAPI_Documentation), especially: How to Use ESAPI in a New Application.
But currently, it is really light...
As of March 2014 the project was downgraded away from flagship status (http://off-the-wall-security.blogspot.fr/2014/03/esapi-no-longer-owasp-flagship-project.html). (credits to avgvstvs)
If you still want to learn ESAPI, the best you can have currently:
The ESAPI swing set, a "web application which demonstrates the many uses of the ESAPI" (https://www.owasp.org/index.php/ESAPI_Swingset)
The tests of the legacy version (https://github.com/ESAPI/esapi-java-legacy/tree/master/src/test/java/org/owasp/esapi).
The wiki of the legacy version (https://www.owasp.org/index.php/Category:OWASP_Enterprise_Security_API)
The mailing list archives (http://lists.owasp.org/pipermail/esapi-dev/)
The README on the new version annonce new stuff to come:
2 Sept 2014 - We are gearing up to get some great stuff done at AppSecUSA in Denver this month. We'll be announcing our schedule and where we'll be at the conference soon! Stay tuned!
Maybe the doc will arrive one day...
If you want to learn secure programming with ESAPI, check out the ESAPI swing set: https://www.owasp.org/index.php/ESAPI_Swingset
However, as superbob has pointed out, you probably shouldn't use it in new production applications.

Please provide a step-by-step answer on how to build a basic Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) using the admin tool that comes with
postgres (pgAdmin) with the the database designer that comes with postgres.
Note that the general question on what is the best way to generate a diagram from postgres, is addressed in this softwarerecs.stackexchange question
Update
Sadly, the database designer is not released with the main release of pgAdmin after all. (At least the case for version 1.16 through 1.22.)
See discussion here and here and finally:
You need to use --enable-databasedesigner with ./configure to enable
it. By default, it's disabled.
There are too many bugs and rough edges and not enough people interested to work on it.
pgAdmin had a GSoC project in 2011, in the course of which Luis Ochoa designed the new database designer - which can also reverse engineer ER diagrams from existing dbs. Unfortunately it wasn't ready for release with pgAdmin 1.14 (the current version). But it's in the repository for version 1.16 that will probably accompany the release of PostgreSQL 9.2.
See a video here.
Screenshot.
Blog post announcing it.
There are still some rough edges, but Luis Ochoa recently announced he is working on it.
If you are running Linux, you could use pgDesigner: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pgdesigner/

Does anyone know if there is a book about Sparx systems Enterprise Architect ? (besides sparx site and reference)
Sparxsystems Central Europe offer their own book, based on Enterprise Archtect.
Project Management with UML and Enterprise Architect
ISBN-10:3-9502692-1-5
ISBN-13:978-3-9502692-1-5
An adoption to EA 8.0is is in work and will released end of Aug. 2010.
Further Info http://www.sparxsystems.eu/ea-sparx-systems/ea-news/news-beitrag/article/new-book-released-project-management-with-uml-and-enterprise-architect/
There is a good book with a practical example.
"Use case Driven Object Modeling with UML" written by Doug Rosenberg and Matt Stephens
They explain there methode how to develop with the relevant parts of UML. They refer a lot to the Sparx Enterprise Architect tool.
There is also a digital version of the book mentioned above: you can find it at http://leanpub.com/entarch
Advantages of the ebook:
available in pdf, epub (for iPad, iPhone, eReaders) and mobi (for Amazon Kindle)
cheaper
includes a bonus chapter
free updates
immediate download
Peter Doomen has recently released an e-Book (pdf, ePub, Mobi-Kindle) version of Fifty Enterprise Architect Tricks. Also available in paperback which I've read and enjoyed. Find it at https://leanpub.com/entarch

Does anyone know if at WWDC 2007 or 2008 there were iPhone sessions which were available as video? If so, where could I get these? I know about 2009, but I assume that in 2008 or 2007 very interesting things were covered under the hood regarding deep basics!
You couldn't do native iPhone development in 2007, so the only iPhone-related sessions from then were on doing web development for the device. There are so many resources for this available out there that I'm not sure you'd gain much from tracking those videos down.
I have the videos from both WWDC 2008 and 2009, and the 2009 sessions have pretty much superseded the 2008 ones. Even the engineers at Apple were still discovering the best practices for iPhone development in 2008, when the SDK was still in beta. I can't think of a topic that I didn't think was covered better by the 2009 sessions.
Normally, if you're an Apple Developer Connection Select member you have access to a library of foundational sessions from previous WWDCs on iTunes. Many Snow Leopard sessions from 2008 are available on there, but no iPhone ones, I think for the reasons I've described about. They're simply out of date by now. I'm not aware of any other way of purchasing the 2008 sessions separately.
