friend ,where can I find jasperreport's package
net.sf.jasperreports.jdbc.concurrency?
I now use jasperreports-4.0.0.jar, but there not exit this package. In which version can I find the package? thanks first :)
The following directories contain all the JAR files used by iReport and JasperReports:
$IREPORT_HOME/ireport/modules/ext
$IREPORT_HOME/ide10/modules/ext
Where $IREPORT_HOME is the installation directory for iReport.
Use http://www.findjar.com/ to find JAR files containing specific classes.
If you have to find a specific package, I would guess that the CLASSPATH is either not being set properly or there is a conflicting JAR file somewhere.
Without knowing why you want to find a specific package, it is difficult to answer the question.

I have added 3 resource bundles for the languages english, french and portugese. I have added these in WEB-INF/bundles path. I have used $R{} for the all the labels in my report. I haven't added any resource bundles in the JasperReports Server repository.
My understanding was that, since I have used $R for my labels, JasperReports Server first checks within the report and repository if the relevant .properties file is present and once found will do the translation. If not found it will search in WEB-INF/bundles.
Since, I have not added the .properties files in report or repository , it must search in WEB-INF/bundles.
But, when I run the report I get the error
java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle for base name language, locale en_US
Any ideas on this would of great help
Got it! Had to put the files in WEB-INF/classes instead of WEB-INF/bundles

I am using Jasper Reports 5.2.0 and Spring MVC with Maven.
I have done reports using JasperViewer, but suddenly I am getting this error that can't be resolved:

Delete the jar extra placed jars in your lib folder it works properly
or use same version jar file in maven dependency and webroot ->lib folder or in class path
For me, in one instance, the problem was with the jasperreports version as I had more that one jasperreports jar in my classpath.
My reports were compiled with jasperreports-5.6.0 and in my classpath jasperreports-4.1.1.jar was also included and accidentally jasperreports-4.1.1.jar was "up" in the Build class path order.
Actually, my eclipse project had jasperreports-5.6.0 as a library jar and this project had another project as "Required projects in the build path" that contained the old version of jasperreports.
I moved the jasperreports-5.6.0 to "Up in the build classpath order" than the old version, and the problem got resolved.
Again, later I removed the project dependency and got the problem resolved as well.
So check, whether you have more than one jasperreports library anyhow; if so, remove the unnecessary duplicate jar.
The Problem is one of the fonts you used in Jasper Reports not installed in the system. The solution is to install all missing fonts. Another alternative is to use only the fonts "Serif" and "San-Serif" which eliminates the need of installing fonts seperately and would even work when the code is moved accross different servers.
My environment:
Netbean 6.9.1
Glassfish 3.0.1

Goal:
When my coworkers opens the Netbean Project, the library is already referenced without them manually create library, adding jars into it and reference it.
Detail:
I created Netbean project and the project has reference to few jar files in the folder.
Currently whoever opens the project for the first time, they have to manually create library and refer it to the project.
My project location:
C:\Users\masatosan\Desktop\myProject\myApp
My library location:
C:\Users\masatosan\Desktop\myProject\lib\myLib
The myLib folder contains:
some1.jar
some2.jar
some3.jar
I can achieve my goal if I create reference to individual jar file by defining to project.properties file like below: (creating reference to sqljdbc4.jar)
file.reference.sqljdbc4.jar=../lib/sqljdbc4.jar
javac.classpath=\
${libs.restlib_gfv3ee6.classpath}:\
${file.reference.sqljdbc4.jar}:
But my case is different since I have 3 jars in the myLib folder and wanting to reference them all.
Is it possible to reference all jars in myLib folder?

I'm sorry, but it doesn't work that way. When you create a project, you have to add the jar files individually.
However, if you put your lib folder under your project, netbeans will refer to them via relative paths. Then when you share the project (lib directory included), netbeans will be able to automatically find the jar files when the next person uses the project. That way you only have to add jar files once.
Short of using a dependency management tool like maven (which Netbeans has good support for), this is really the best solution. It uses a bit more disk space (obviously), but that's never been a huge issue for me.
I figured how so let me share.
Tool --> Library then library window pop up.
Create library called "MyLib" which contains multiple jars.
Add "MyLib" to your project. This change will be written to project.properties file under nbproject folder.
project.properties file indicates the classpath of lib reference you just added.
It should look like something below
javac.classpath=\
${libs.Excella.classpath}:\
${libs.MyLib.classpath}
Now someone else opens the project from different machine and she just needs to do step#1 and #2, which is to create library with same library name i.e. "MyLib"

Is there way to tell IntelliJ IDEA which output folder to use for GWT compiler ? I know it copies artifacts to project folder but it doesn't copy extras which I set using "-extra" command line parameter of gwt compiler.
IntelliJ IDEA leaves it in USER_HOME/.IntelliJIdea10/system/gwt/project_name_with_hash/module_name_with_hash/compile/www
UPDATE: Strangely I didn't find list of possible path macroses on IntelliJ's website. But I found them in idea.jar. Possible macroses are:
APPLICATION_HOME_DIR
PROJECT_DIR
MODULE_DIR
USER_HOME
Have you tried constructing the path using ${PROJECT_DIR} path variable? That will resolve to the project location and then you can specify the rest of the path. Like ${PROJECT_DIR}/reports/extras. I haven't used IntelliJ for a few years, but I am pretty sure that's the path variable name.
EDIT: sorry built in path macros in IntelliJ are specified using $...$ syntax. So I think it should be $PROJECT_DIR$
There is no way to change output folder for GWT compiler in IDEA. However you can specify absolute path to any directory after '-extra' parameter.
By the way for what purpose do you use '-extra'?
As of November 18, 2011 it is impossible to use path macroses in settings of project modules. Jetbrain is aware of this and there is feature request in their JIRA.
My work-around for a team with multiple engineers for now is to use system TEMP folder for GWT compiler extra output and move files in post-build event to folder I want it to be at.
I am compiling an app which is a sample app that uses an api. The api contains interface files (java files) and aidl files. Now I have problem in one of the interface file it cannot recognize the one of these aidl files exists in my project.
I have linked the whole api to the build path.
Does anyone has any idea ??
I had the same error, but it was fixed when I cleaned and rebuilded the project.
Projects -> clean project so it can automatically rebuild.
Look closely at your manifest file, check that the package etc are
spelled as you'd expect.
Also dont forget to paste the server's *.aidl and parcelable implementation (java) to your client project. These files has to have the same name and package as they were in the server project.

There are basically two possibilities.
(most likely) you need to make the folder that contains aidl files source folder. if you haven't done so, please do it.
You need a clean build.
