Unable to create editor ID org.eclipse.jst.pagedesigner.PageDesignerEditor: An unexpected exception was thrown - eclipse

when i added JSF support to my project, following this tutorial
http://www.mkyong.com/jsf2/how-to-make-eclipse-ide-supports-jsf-2-0/
after restarting the eclipse, i am getting the error:
Unable to create editor ID org.eclipse.jst.pagedesigner.PageDesignerEditor: An unexpected exception was thrown.
any ideas why, and how to solve it ?
UPDATE:
when i tried to select java server faces again from the project facets, i found that it says on the right:
Conflicts with the following facets:
Application Client module
Dynamic Web Module
EAR
EJB Module
JCA Module
Static Web Module
Utility Module
Web Fragment Module

i was having JSF and ICEFaces dependencies in my pom, and i was having their libraries too in the classpath, fixed the error by removing them, and adding JSF,icefaces capabilities to my project, everything works fine now.

WFLYSRV0177: Error getting reflective information for class

I am developing a JEE project using Eclipse JEE (2019-09), Maven, Wildfly 17, JSF, PrimeFaces 7.0 running on Ubuntu 18.04.
My project used to compile, deploy and run on the WildFly 17 server until today. However, because I recieved strange errors when debugging, I installed an earlier Eclipse IDE to try to run my project on it.
After installing the older version of Eclipse (2019-03) in its own dedicated workspace, I got this error message when deploying my application to WildFly:
Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: WFLYSRV0177: Error getting reflective information for class
I then switched back to my initial Eclipse JEE (2019-09) Version, but then I kept recieving the same error message upon deploying.
I' ve searched the internet and found these two similar problems:
Error getting reflective information for class
Wildfly: Error getting reflective information for class
but actually not a solution to my problem.
Could somebody please help?
The problem was that the Maven jar- dependencies were not added to the WEB-INF/lib path.
Actually, in the deployed .war file the folder WEB-INF/lib was completely missing.
I fixed the problem by right-mouse click on my project in Eclipse, then "Properties", then "Deployment Assembly".
I added the missing entry "Maven Dependencies" as follows:
1.) BEFORE MY FIX:
2.) AFTER MY FIX:

The method getJspApplicationContext(ServletContext) is undefined for the type JspFactory is not working from eclipse

I am trying to deploy a gradle web project using tomcat in eclipse and when I am trying to access the application it throws me an exception as follows:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP:
An error occurred at line: [36] in the generated java file: [......plugins\org.eclipse.wst.server.core\tmp0\work\Catalina...\org\apache\jsp\error_jsp.java]
The method getJspApplicationContext(ServletContext) is undefined for the type JspFactory
Stacktrace:
at org.apache.jasper.compiler.DefaultErrorHandler.javacError(DefaultErrorHandler.java:103)
The same application I am able to deploy manually in the tomcat server with out using eclipse then it is working perfectly.
Please provide me a solution.
While deploying the application into server using eclipse it is adding some dependencies which are conflicted to dependencies added using gradle, after removing the conflicted jars the solved the issue.
the generated war only have the jars which are configured in the gradle so that is working when we deploy it manually on the server.

resty gwt:Deferred binding failed for 'com.gwt.demo.client.PersonResourceAsync

Hi i want to do project in gwt which is at client side and rest services at the server side, for this i am using resty gwt but i am getting an error:
com.google.gwt.event.shared.UmbrellaException: Exception caught: Deferred binding failed for 'com.gwt.demo.client.PersonResourceAsync' (did you forget to inherit a required module?).
Project description:-
ide:- eclipse
I am using resty gwt jar and i have included that jar from add external jar.I have also included in the gwt.xml as (<inherits name='org.fusesource.restygwt.RestyGWT'/>).I have also added that jar in war file lib folder. I have used one interface which extends restservice,in this interface while debugging i found that in the line i am getting nullpointerexception.
instance = GWT.create(PersonResourceAsync.class);
Please help me why i am getting this error?
Are you sure restyGWT jar is in your classpath ?
Can you post the code of your PersonResourceAsync ? Does it extends the RestService interface ?
Maybe you can have a look this tutorial

Adding gFlot library to a GWT project fails

I downloaded gflot for my gwt project. To get to know the library I created a test project called "FlotDemo". I'm using Eclipse and created a plain vanilla gwt project with the help of the project creation wizard (the stuff with the greeting servlet and so on)
This is what I did:
Downloaded gflot-3.1.1.jar and copied it into /war/WEB-INF/lib
Added in Project->Properties->Java Build Path->Libraries gflot-jar to the path
Added <inherits name="ca.nanometrics.gflot.GFlot"/> to my "FlotDemo.gwt.xml"
Went to gFlot example and copy an pasted it to my EntryPoint class
So after step 4, eclipse strangly cannot resolve the objects from gflot I used in the code. I tried to run the web app anyway in the gwt simulator but it quit with the error message:
2013-06-05 17:24:51.212 java[12069:707] [Java CocoaComponent compatibility mode]: Enabled
2013-06-05 17:24:51.213 java[12069:707] [Java CocoaComponent compatibility mode]: Setting timeout for SWT to 0.100000
Loading modules
flotdemo.FlotDemo
Loading inherited module 'flotdemo.FlotDemo'
Loading inherited module 'ca.nanometrics.gflot.GFlot'
[ERROR] Unable to find 'ca/nanometrics/gflot/GFlot.gwt.xml' on your classpath; could be a typo, or maybe you forgot to include a classpath entry for source?
[ERROR] Line 11: Unexpected exception while processing element 'inherits'
com.google.gwt.core.ext.UnableToCompleteException: (see previous log entries)
at com.google.gwt.dev.cfg.ModuleDefLoader.nestedLoad(ModuleDefLoader.java:308)
What am I doing wrong here?
<inherits name="ca.nanometrics.gflot.GFlot"/> is the old one.
Since 3.0, use <inherits name='com.googlecode.gflot.GFlot'/> instead.
See the example.

I am posting this up in the hope that someone who has been bitten by this before can simply reel off the answer - this question features heavily on Oracle and DevX forums when I post the stack into Google, and has not been answered.
Note: Company constraints insist on the use of the specific version of the software quoted at the top of the question - I am fully aware that this version of WebLogic is not Java EE 6 compliant.
Thanks for the steer guys. It appears that my application.xml file is a red herring - whilst I do have one, my Maven POM has a plugin which generates its own during build. The problem was that, for Eclipse, the Deployment Assembly (Right Click > Deployment Assembly) did not contain any references to the WAR and JAR project dependenices. I wrongly assumed that Eclipse would simply detect and use an application.xml file found in the folder hierarchy. An empty application.xml file was being created, and thus the stack trace correctly bemoans the lack of modules to deploy.
My problem was with the web.xml file, for some reason, my Eclipse modified the "faces / dynamic web module" of my project, and with it, the header of the web.xml file. The new web.xml file didn't have the "<web-app xmlns:xsi" full header, as soon as I fixed that, the weblogic stopped with the exceptions.
