How to add a non editable field using install4j - value of this is not static and should be displayed from a user defined variable - install4j

I would like to be able to add a key/value pair label in an install screen. The key is a static text. The value is a dynamic value and a value from a variable should be used to display the value label. I'm not able to do so using install4J. I see options like a textArea, textfield that will enable to be able to do so. However, these are editable fields and does not serve my purpose. I want a non editable field to display a value from a variable. This is not a system variable. This should be a user defined variable. I'm using install4j 4.2 version. Any help in this area is highly appreciated.
Thanks for the response. I was able to create key/value pair. However, I'm not able to define my own installer variable. Can you please let me know where I can define an installer variable that can be used in the key/value pair?

There is a "Key value pair" form component that does exactly what you need. It is available in install4j 4.2.
In the "Value label/Text" property, you can use an installer variable like
${installer:myValue}
for displaying dynamic text.

Difference between UserProperties.Add and UserProperties.Set functionality in FlurrySDK

I'm using Flurry Analytics in my Unity game and I want to use Flurry UserProperties.
My question is about the difference between the functionality of UserProperties.Add and UserProperties.Set methods in FlurrySDK.
In the documents there is following description :
Set :
Sets and replaces (if any exist) the value(s) for the property.
Add :
Adds a User Property value(s). Adding values already included in the state has no effect and does not error.
Can I just use Flurry.UserProperties.Add whenever I need to set/add an UserProperty for a user and ignore Flurry.UserProperties.Set?
or I need to first define every property with Flurry.UserProperties.Add to be added in Flurry's panel and then use Flurry.UserProperties.Set to set them for a specific user?
Add adds to existing values, while Set removes existing values and then adds the new one
To create your custom User.property you do it in the Admin Panel of Flurry.
Set, clean your property and set with your last value you send.
Add , preserve the old values and add a new value to your property.

How to access variable, passed through URL in grafana?

I am trying to make a detailed dashboard in grafana that opens on click. I do it by passing a variable to the dashboard debending on the clicked facility. When the dashboard opens it needs to display value using the passed url variable inst. I just cannot seem to get it working. Here is an example of my dashboard link.
How can i use the variable inst?
I will add gogibogi4's correct answer. The Grafana documentation is lacking on this.
In your drill-down dashboard, add a constant variable. To be retrieved in Grafana, you need the prefix var- then the name of the variable in the query string. Let's assume the variable is "region." The URL coming into the drilldown dashboard should look similar to the following:
/drilldowndashboard/?var-region=NorthWest
Drilldown Dashboard Settings:
In the drilldown dashboard settings, create a variable. The Name in this example is "region" Make the type Constant. Under Hide, you can just leave that unselected. Under Constant options, you can write the word "blank" The preview of values will just show the word "blank" but go ahead and save it as it will be replaced in the query.
Query:
You can refer to the variable using [[region]] in your data query.
Parent Dashboard:
The parent dashboard merely needs to refer to the drilldown dashboard with var-region as a query parameter.
I figured out the solution on my own. The variable that i wanted to pass was var-inst, the trick to use it is to create a custom template variable named inst and give it a dummy value. After that is done i can use the passed value by using $inst. Note that in order for the variable to be passed i had to go back to my primary dashboard and then i had to click my link again. After that the value got passed and is working perfectly.
just referred above answer by gogibogi4 and it worked for me but when I tried to see variable information then I saw I have selected constant as a type but automatically it got converted into datasource and type is selected grafana. when I try to select them manually it didn't worked. this is some kind of bug of grafana I guess.

How to prevent writing before prefix in GWT valuebox

I am using GWT ValeBox with GWT Renderer to show amount with $ as prefix.
Now I want not to allow user to type any thing before dollar sign. I tried various GWT event handlers like ValueChangeHandler and some others but unable to achieve goal.
Still struggling for it. If anybody know good solution for it, please share here.
Regards,
The easiest would be to not include the currency as part of the value, but next to the field.
Alternatively, you could replace the value with a numeric-only value on focus, and reformat it as a currency on blur.
Couple of solutions:
Use a label before the valuebox. Label value will be $ and valuebox will contain the numeric value.
You can use empty text in the valuebox. Empty text will specify user to enter $ value.

Seperate error messages for required TextFields and DropDownChoices

I'm currently working on a Wicket 6.20 project which already has dozens of pages with TextFields and DropDownChoices. Now the requirement came up to change the default '${label}' is required. message to something more specific, depending on whether a TextField or a DropDownChoice doesn't have a value.
I know I can put Required=My Text in a properties file of the application, but that changes the message for all FormComponents. And specifying the full component path to either the TextFields or the DropDownChoices in the form of myform.mycontainer.mydropdownchoice.Required=My Text isn't feasible, since of course the structure of the Forms can differ on each page.
Ideally I'd like to put something like
org.apache.wicket.markup.html.form.DropDownChoice.Required=Please select a value for '${label}'
org.apache.wicket.markup.html.form.TextField.Required=Please enter a value in '${label}'
in my application's property file, either with or without FQCN.
Is there a way to achieve this with any of the default IStringResourceLoader that come with Wicket?
It is not necessary to provide the complete path to the components. It could be a path with just few parents:
mycontainer.mydropdownchoice.Required=My Text
mydropdownchoice.Required=My Text
If this still is not an option then you can override org.apache.wicket.markup.html.form.FormComponent#reportRequiredError() for any instance or type (e.g. MyDropDownChoice).

Live search combo in Ext JS 4.2.2

I'm trying to implement a live search combo. It suppose to work like this:
When I enter a character into the combo field I read the current value and send it as a parameter to the store's url. In the backend the parameter is used to return any value from the database that contains it, so the store behind the combo gets filled only with those filtered values.
As I continue to enter characters into the combo, the parameter should be updated and sent again to the backend and so on, getting like this a smaller and smaller store.
I tryied to achieve this behaviour using the combo's event keypress, even keyup, but the problem is it's impossible for me to get access to the current value from the combo field.
For example, when I entered the "for" string into the combo, how can I obtain this value using the combo object? comboName.getValue() doesn't work, it returns nothing "".
I already saw the live combo example here: http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/4.2.2/#!/example/form/forum-search.html but doesnt help me at all.
So my big question is: how do i get the current value while still editing the combo's field?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
You should be able to use
comboName.getValue();
or
comboName.getRawValue();
Where comboName is your combo box. Are neither working- I note in your post you state getValues() which is an improper method. You may want to also check whether when you're referring to your combo box object, that the reference is actually correct. The first argument from the key events is actually the object itself, so you should be able to do, e.g.
listeners:{
keyup:function(comboBox){
var value = comboBox.getValue() || comboBox.getRawValue();
console.log(value);
}
}
Swapping you the value getting method as appropriate.
I found that the combo already has a quick search behaviour, I just have to set queryMode on 'remote' and some other small configurations. More details here:
