Not able to do this.Context.Users.Load() - entity-framework

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb896376.aspx here it says about a load method
this.context = new MyEntities();
this.Context.Users.
but i am not able to do this.Context.Users.Load()
i am not able to find the method load
what can i do?

If it doesn't offer you Load method it means that Users is not EntityCollection<User>. It is either ObjectQuery<User>, ObjectSet<User> or DbSet<User>. Instead of Load use:
var data = this.context.Users.ToList();
It also answers question what should you do? You should learn to use your IDE to identify correct type before you start searching in documentation.

neo4j using transactionListener causes read/write error

I'm trying to use TransactionEventListener in neo4j. There don't seem to be any lifecycle hooks for plugins, so I figure the only way to do it is to have a plugin procedure do it. However, trying to do that gives me this error:
Neo4jError: Writing in read access mode not allowed. Attempted write to internal graph 1 (system)
The plugin uses write mode, even if I'm not actually writing anything to the database; I'm just registering that TransactionEventListener, although that could indeed lead to writes later on. Still, I've got Write mode.
Here's my procedure:
#Procedure(name = "setTransactionListener", mode = Mode.WRITE)
public Stream<BuiltInProcedures.NodeResult> setTaxonomy(
#Name("taxonomy") Map<String, Map<String, Object>[]> taxonomy
) {
var managementService = new DatabaseManagementServiceBuilder(Path.of(".")).build();
var listener = new ValidationTransactionListener(taxonomy);
managementService.registerTransactionEventListener(db.databaseName(), listener);
return null;
}
Best guess is that I'm not supposed to register a transaction listener this way. But if not this way, then how? There don't seem to be any lifecycle hooks that get called when the database starts, so how can I possibly register an transactionEventListener?
Or is there a way I can give myself permission to do this?
What do you actually want to do?
It doesn't work like that, you need to register the listener in the database lifecycle within a KernelExtensionFactory?
See here for an example:

Changing jasper report parameters in runtime

I know, but we really need it.
We have a clear division of labor.
They create templates, I fill them in runtime according to some rules.
Can't teach my business to insert something like this and be sure they really did it ok(so can't move any logic to templates):
$P{risk_types}.get($F{risk_type}) ?: "UNDEFINED"
Also can not fill from files hardcoded in some adapter hadwritten by god-knows-who and unchangeable in runtime. It's a web app. Best option is to find a way to replace that file source from adapter to a ByteArrayStream.
SO:
Need to substitute contents of parameters(also default ones) at runtime.
example:
need to set JSON_INPUT_STREAM
Like this unsolved thread.
https://community.jaspersoft.com/questions/516611/changing-parameter-scriptlet
Really hope not to work on xml level, but xml also can't solve my problem as far as I tried.
Thank you!
The easiest and cleanest way we did this(bypassing usage of tons of deprecated documentation and unfinished bugged undocumented static antipatterned new features):
Create context with repository extension
SimpleJasperReportsContext jasperReportsContext = new SimpleJasperReportsContext();
jasperReportsContext.setExtensions(RepositoryService.class, Collections.singletonList(new MyRepositoryService(jasperReportsContext, yourOptionalParams)));
Fill this way(after compile and other usual actions)
JasperPrint print = JasperFillManager.getInstance(jasperReportsContext).fill(compiled, new HashMap<>());
Now your repository must extend default one to be hack-injected(cause of hodgie coded "isAssignableFrom") successfully
public class PrintFormsRepositoryService extends DefaultRepositoryService {
#Override
public InputStream getInputStream(RepositoryContext context, String uri) {
// return here your own good simple poj inputStream even from memory if you found source
// or pass to another repository service(default one probably)
return null;
}
}

neo4jphp: Cannot instantiate abstract class Everyman\Neo4j\Transport

maybe a simple question but for me as starter with Neo4j a hurdle. I installed the neo4jphp with composer in the same directory as my application. Vendor-Subfolder has been created and the everyman/neo4j folder below is available. For a first test I used this code snippet from the examples:
spl_autoload_register(function ($className) {
$libPath = 'vendor\\';
$classFile = $className.'.php';
$classPath = $libPath.$classFile;
if (file_exists($classPath)) {
require($classPath);
}
});
require('vendor/autoload.php');
use everyman\Neo4j\Client,
everyman\Neo4j\Transport;
$client = new Client(new Transport('localhost', 7474));
print_r($client->getServerInfo());
I always stumple upon the error
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate abstract class Everyman\Neo4j\Transport
Googling brought me to a comment from Josh Adell stating
You can't instantiate Everyman\Neo4j\Transport, since it is an abstract class. You must instantiate Everyman\Neo4j\Transport\Curl or Everyman\Neo4j\Transport\Stream depending on your needs
So I thought I just need to alter the use-statements to
use everyman\Neo4j\Client,
everyman\Neo4j\Transport\Curl;
but this doesnt work, debugging shows, that the autoloader only get "Transport.php" instead of "everyman\Neo4j\Transport\Curl.php". For "Client.php" its still working ("vendor\everyman\Neo4j\Client.php") so I am guessing that the use-statement is wrong or the code is not able to handle an additional subfolder-structure.
Using
require('phar://neo4jphp.phar');
works fine but I read that this is deprecated and should be replaced by composer / autoload.
Anyone has a hint what to change or had the same problem?
Thanks for your time,
Balael
Curl is the default transport. You only need to instantiate your own Transport object if you want to use Stream instead of Curl. If you really want to instantiate your own Curl Transport, the easiest change to your existing code is to modify the use statement to be:
use everyman\Neo4j\Client,
everyman\Neo4j\Transport\Curl as Transport;
Also, you don't need to register your own autoload function if you are using the Composer package. vendor/autoload.php does that for you.
Thanks Josh, I was trying but it seems I still stuck somewhere. I am fine with using the default CURL - so I shrinked the code down to
require('vendor/autoload.php');
use everyman\Neo4j\Client;
$client = new Everyman\Neo4j\Client('localhost', 7474);
print_r($client->getServerInfo());`
The folder structure is main (here are the files and the composer.json with the content
{
"require": {
"everyman/Neo4j": "dev-master"
}
}
and in the subfolder "vendor" we have the "autoload.php" and the subfolder everyman with the related content. When I run the file I come out with
Fatal error: Class 'Everyman\Neo4j\Client' not found
which does not happen when I have the autoloadfunction. I guess I made a mistake somewehere - can you give me a hint?
Thanks a lot, B
Hmmm... I was just trying around and it seems the Transport CLASS is not needed in the use-statement and the class instantiation. This seems to work:
require('vendor/autoload.php');
use everyman\Neo4j\Client;
$client = new Client();
print_r($client->getServerInfo());
also valid for having a dedicated server/port:
$client = new Everyman\Neo4j\Client('localhost', 7474);
If you have more input I would be happy to learn more - thanks, all input & thoughts are very appreciated.

HATEOAS link to method with optional requestparams

I want to link to a method that has the following signature:
public SomeResponse getSomeObjects(#RequestParam(value = "foo", defaultValue = "bar") Foo fooValue)
Now I want the link to look like this:
http://myhost/api/someobjects
I tried using methodOn from Spring HATEOAS's ControllerLinkBuilder as seen below:
discoverResponse.add(linkTo(methodOn(SomeController.class).getSomeObjects(null)).withRel("someobjects"))
But it doesn't lead to the desired link because a ?foo is added at its end. How can I achieve the above objective?
Since backward compatibility is such an issue for you, you could always manually construct your Link objects like so:
discoverResponse.add(new Link(baseUri() + "/someobjects", "someobjects"));
The other option would be to fork Spring HATEOAS on GitHub, build the project yourself, and change the way defaults are handled in ControllerLinkBuilder. I don't really know how you'd expect an out-of-context Link builder to be able to differentiate between whether it should advertise an optional parameter. In the HATEOAS world, if the parameter isn't included, the client doesn't know about it. So why even have the optional parameter?
I know there are 7 years gone now, but I had a similar problem today which lead me here. In spring hateoas 1.1.0 the behavior is slightly different, instead it will generate URI-Templates by default for non-required #RequestParams:
http://myhost/api/someobjects{?foo}
If you don't want them in your link, you can just expand it
Map<String, Object> parameters = new HashMap<>();
parameters.put("foo", null);
link = link.expand(parameters);
It will result in the desired URL
http://myhost/api/someobjects

Setting EObject's resource with a command

I'm using a TransactionalEditingDomain to manage changes on my model. However, I have some problems in creating an empty model. I think that the problem is when I add the model to the model Resource (modelResource.getContents().add(model);), because it should be put within a transaction. Accordingly, I was trying to use the AddCommand to perform such operation, but I am not able to find a EStructuralFeature for the Resource's contents.
In other words, I would like to write something like:
Command cmd = AddCommand.create(editingDomain, modelResource, FEAT_CONTENTS, model);
commandStack.execute(cmd);
The problem is that I cannot find the FEAT_CONTENTS... does anybody have a suggestion?
I have found the "official" solution with using AddCommand on the Eclipse Forum of EMF:
Command cmd = new AddCommand(editingDomain, modelResource.getContents(), model);
commandStack.execute(cmd);
Since removing a root object is also non-trivial, the same approach can be used with RemoveCommand:
Command cmd = new RemoveCommand(editingDomain, modelResource.getContents(), model);
Finally, for completeness, you should also know that DeleteCommand (that also removes all references to the removed object) does not work on root objects at all.
I found a solution, but sincerely I do not like it:
commandStack.execute(new RecordingCommand(editingDomain) {
protected void doExecute() {
modelResource.getContents().add(model);
}
});
