I installed the Eclipse Marketplace via http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/indigo/ and Help>Install New Software... and it's not showing up under the help menu as expected after a complete reboot and I can't seem to find anyone else who is having this problem?
What led me to installing the Eclipse Marketplace in the first place was my attempt to install Eclipse Color Themes (http://eclipse-color-theme.github.com/update/). Eclipse Color Themes did not appear where indicated in it's documentation either so I thought I would attempt installing through the marketplace but I think I may have a larger plug-in related issue however plug-ins like Aptana and other misc. custom plug-ins installed correctly.
I'm running Eclipse on Windows 7 64-bit if that's of any help as well.
I had same problem.
I add http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo repo and install MPC and Maven.
I tried #d_pilot's answer which didn't work but found the repo at http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/indigo/
You should be able to change the /mpc/(version)/ to get whatever you want from there, which is nice for all the other eclipse classic versions.

I am tried to install IBM Bluemix eclipse plugin for Eclipse Mars from Eclipse Market place. Eclipse listing all required libraries and dependencies but installation its showing following error as shown in image.

Which version of Eclipse are you using? I just tried with the JEE Package for Mars SR1: https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-ee-developers/mars1. Then, search for the Eclipse marketplace entry from Eclipse and do the install.
and I can complete the install successfully. It may just be a temporary outage on the server. Would you mind to try it again?
If the problem still exist, can you list out the details of your setup, e.g. Eclipse package that you start with, platform, steps to reproduce, etc. so I can try to reproduce the problem.

I was having the same problem just now trying to download Google Plugin for Eclipse. I was running into the same error where it was complaining about:
"Cannot complete install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Google Plugin for Eclipse 3.7 bla bla bla..."

I followed these steps that I found on https://developers.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-eclipse-4.2 and it worked fine :) The only thing different is that I downloaded from http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2 INSTEAD of from (as when was throwing an error) http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin.3.7. When I used 3.7 I got the same error you are having now. 4.2 it's all gravy.
Also, I am doing this on a fresh Juno installation. Like, I literally downloaded it from the Eclipse site right 2 minutes ago, installed it, ran an update (there was one update for Eclipse Google Plugin) and then I i got the errors and fixed the issue.
In fact, I got my answers here: Installing GWT plugin with Eclipse so thank this dude. Not me.

Your installation is missing the org.objectweb.asm bundle. I'm a little surprised that this is not installed by the google plugin by default. There are many places to get it, but I know you can get the bundle from orbit:

Copy the link and add it to your list of update sites. Then try to install the google plugin again. Make sure that you have "Contact all update sites" checked.
Might be you have Indigo Eclipse and trying for Juno Eclipse plugin.

Look at plugin links for Indigo and Juno and act accrodingly.
If the plugin installation failed, you may have problems with the Eclipse version installed that might be outdated (my problem).

I'm currently trying out Aptana Studio 3 for PHP development (I'm pretty new to all these), and I've stumbled upon a problem. I've noticed Eclipse has a Marketplace that hosts a wide variety of plugins, and I'd like to install one that helps me for version control.
However, I can't find the Eclipse Marketplace dialog under Aptana. Is there anybody out there who's done this before (installing Eclipse Marketplace stuff in Aptana)?
Also, this is a little out-of-topic but I'd like to use Java.net as the place where I'll be storing my repository. To my knowledge, NetBeans has a built-in support for Java.net; is there anything similar for Eclipse/Aptana Studio?
EDIT: If it helps, I installed Aptana Studio as a standalone version, and not as a plugin on Eclipse.
Try Help / Install New Software, and click on the Available Software Sites link. You'll probably have the eclipse Helios release directory in the list, just check it to activate it. A lot of third-party packages have their own release sites, you can add them in the same dialog.
I am new to Eclipse so I am having a hard time troubleshooting this problem. I have a new installation of Eclipse Java EE - Galileo on Windows, and I am unable to see any changes made in the IDE after installing plugins. I have verified that the plugins are installed via installation details, but see no changes made.
For example, after installing the maven integration plugin m2eclipse I go to File->New->Project ... and I have no option for maven. After installing the QuickRex plugin I have no view for it etc.
I have tried re-installing the plugins, re-installing Eclipse, and starting Eclipse with the -clean option, but nothing has resolved the issue.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Ok. This is just a wild guess but could you start over with a fresh install and make sure that you uncheck the option Contact all update sites during install to find required software as shown below:

I faced a similar problem (on another platform than yours), some updates were "disabling" all my plugins. Not checking this option allowed me to work around this issue.
Follow-up: You'll need to install that Zest stuff manually from the GEF update site:

what other update sites do you have enabled in your Eclipse installation?
I had similar problem when upgrading from older Mylyn, and found out that it helps to disable other updates sites. When installing new plugins, or even updating old ones, Eclipse has a tendency to contact all enabled update sites. I don't know what exactly it is trying to do, but it helped me to disable all sites except one I wanted to use.
Btw, Eclipse 3.5M6 has option to use only selected update site -- it is great help when updating/installing plugins. I cannot wait to see Eclipse 3.5 final released, just for this feature.
