TouchEvent doubts in iphone - iphone

HA ii ,i have two tableview in one view tableview and tab,the tab is hidden below the mainview,the user can see only tableview in the mainview,for viewing the tab the user have to click button just above the tab,when the user tap the button it drage upwards to the mainview i have done this by using this code
-(IBAction) controlPanelShowHide:(id)sender
{
CGRect frame = tab.frame;
CGRect viewframe = hideviewoftab.frame;
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:0.9];
if (!self.isExpanded)
{
self.isExpanded = YES;
if (frame.origin.y -=240) {
tab.frame = frame;
}
if (imageframe.origin.y -=240) {
btnShowHide.frame =imageframe;
}
if (viewframe.origin.y -=240) {
hideviewoftab.frame =viewframe;
}
} else {
self.isExpanded = NO;
if (frame.origin.y +=240) {
tab.frame = frame;
}
if (imageframe.origin.y +=240) {
btnShowHide.frame =imageframe;
}
if (viewframe.origin.y +=240) {
hideviewoftab.frame =viewframe;
}
}
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
every things work fine with this code,but i need to drag this tab with touch event ,i.e. when the user tap and hold it and drag any-ware on the screen (upwards only)> i think this is done through - (void) touchesMoved:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)eventBut how can we done this ?sorry for the very very poor english.Hope you understand my question.
thanks in advance.
EDIT:
- (void) touchesBegan:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event
{ CGPoint pt = [[touches anyObject] locationInView:self];
[tab beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[tab setAnimationDuration:0.1];
CGRect newFrame = tab.frame;
newFrame.origin.y += pt.y - touchingPoint.y;
newFrame.origin.x += pt.x - touchingPoint.x;
[self setFrame:newFrame];
[tab commitAnimations];
}
- (void) touchesMoved:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event
{
CGPoint pt = [[touches anyObject] locationInView:self];
[tab beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[tab setAnimationDuration:0.1];
CGRect newFrame = tab.frame;
newFrame.origin.y += pt.y - touchingPoint.y;
[self setFrame:newFrame];
[tab commitAnimations];
}

How can we move a view vertically upward and downwards?
Here modify the - (void) touchesMoved:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event method with this code
- (void) touchesMoved:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event
{
CGPoint pt = [[touches anyObject] locationInView:self];
[UITableView beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[UITableView setAnimationDuration:0.1];
CGRect newFrame = self.frame;
newFrame.origin.y += pt.y - touchingPoint.y;
newFrame.origin.x += pt.x - touchingPoint.x;
[self setFrame:newFrame];
[UITableView commitAnimations];
}

how can i scroll between many textfield and textarea on uiscrollview?

i have an nsarray of textfields and another of textarea. I have also a toolbar with next and previous button to manage navigation between my fields. I made a fonction in textfieldDidBeginEditing and another in textfieldDidEndEditing but it didn't work correctly.
my function is :
if (textField.frame.origin.y > 180) {
[UIScrollView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
[UIScrollView setAnimationDelegate:self];
[UIScrollView setAnimationDuration:0.4];
[UIScrollView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES];
CGFloat updatedY = 150;
self.scrollView.frame = CGRectMake(self.scrollView.frame.origin.x,self.scrollView.frame.origin.y - updatedY, self.scrollView.frame.size.width,
self.scrollView.frame.size.height);
[UIScrollView commitAnimations];
}
Any help will be appreciated.
I think you want Keyboard handler. The one I am using is a very good keyboard handler.
Keyboard Handler by Sukhpal Singh
This is a very good tutorial from one of my good friend and You can use this.
For using this you just have to write a single line of code.
AutoScroller * scroller=[AutoScroller addAutoScrollTo:self.scrollView isDoneToolBarNeeded:NO];
yes its done.
Please try to use this one
- (BOOL)textViewShouldBeginEditing:(UITextView *)textView
{
[UIView beginAnimations:#"" context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:.30];
[self scrollViewToCenterOfScreen:textView];
[UIView commitAnimations];
return YES;
}
- (BOOL)textFieldShouldBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField
{
[UIView beginAnimations:#"" context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:.30];
[self scrollViewToCenterOfScreen:textField];
[UIView commitAnimations];
return YES;
}
- (void)scrollViewToCenterOfScreen:(UIView *)theView
{
CGFloat y ;
CGFloat viewCenterY = theView.center.y;
CGRect applicationFrame = [[UIScreen mainScreen] applicationFrame];
CGFloat avaliableHeight = applicationFrame.size.height - 250;
y = viewCenterY - avaliableHeight / 2.0f;
if (y < 0)
{
y = 0;
}
[scrollView setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0, y)];
}
try this code:
- (void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField;
{
[clientscrollview setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0, textField.center.y-180) animated:YES];
}
- (BOOL)textFieldShouldReturn:(UITextField *)textField
{
[clientscrollview setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0, 0) animated:YES];
[textField resignFirstResponder];
return YES;
}
- (void)textViewDidBeginEditing:(UITextView *)textView
{
[clientscrollview setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0,textView.center.y-180) animated:YES];
}
- (void)textViewDidEndEditing:(UITextView *)textView
{
[clientscrollview resignFirstResponder];
[clientscrollview setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0,0) animated:YES];
}

How to move the focussed text field to the middle of the view after keyboard popups

In my iPad im creating SplitView application. I have a UITableVewtable with multiple rows, each row/cell having three UITextField
When i tap on UITextField some fields are hide by the keyboard.
So im using TPKeyboardAvoidingScrollView framework but it does not works on ios 5.0+.
some times unable to scroll the scroll view on the table.
So I want to move the focussed cell to the middle/ just above the key board at every time
What should I use?
Thanks in Advance.
Try this code. Put this in your .h file :
CGFloat animatedDistance;
In your .m file :
static const CGFloat KEYBOARD_ANIMATION_DURATION = 0.3;
static const CGFloat MINIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION = 0.2;
static const CGFloat MAXIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION = 0.8;
static const CGFloat PORTRAIT_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT = 264;
static const CGFloat LANDSCAPE_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT = 352;
Add this static const before your #interface myclass () You can change the keyboard height values above as per your need. And then add the following code :
- (void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField
{
CGRect textFieldRect =
[self.view.window convertRect:textField.bounds fromView:textField];
CGRect viewRect =
[self.view.window convertRect:self.view.bounds fromView:self.view];
CGFloat midline = textFieldRect.origin.y + 0.5 * textFieldRect.size.height;
CGFloat numerator = midline - viewRect.origin.y - MINIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION * viewRect.size. height;
CGFloat denominator =
(MAXIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION - MINIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION) * viewRect.size.height;
CGFloat heightFraction = numerator / denominator;
if (heightFraction < 0.0)
{
heightFraction = 0.0;
}
else if (heightFraction > 1.0)
{
heightFraction = 1.0;
}
UIInterfaceOrientation orientation = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] statusBarOrientation];
if (orientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait ||
orientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown)
{
animatedDistance = floor(PORTRAIT_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT * heightFraction);
}
else
{
animatedDistance = floor(LANDSCAPE_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT * heightFraction);
}
CGRect viewFrame = self.view.frame;
viewFrame.origin.y -= animatedDistance;
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:KEYBOARD_ANIMATION_DURATION];
[self.view setFrame:viewFrame];
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
- (void)textFieldDidEndEditing:(UITextField *)textField
{
CGRect viewFrame = self.view.frame;
viewFrame.origin.y += animatedDistance;
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:KEYBOARD_ANIMATION_DURATION];
[self.view setFrame:viewFrame];
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
what you want is to animate your view such as when you touch the textField it should go up and when you end typing it should go down. You can achieve this by implementing two UITextFiled delegate methods and some little animation as follows :
- (void)textFieldDidEndEditing:(UITextField *)textField
{
[self startAnimatingTextField: textField up: NO];
}
- (void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField
{
[self startAnimatingTextField: textField up: YES];
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:0.1];
[UIView setAnimationCurve: UIViewAnimationCurveLinear];
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
-(void)startAnimatingTextField:(UITextField *) textField up: (BOOL) up
{
const int distance = 120; /* modify conform your needs */
const float duration = 0.3f;
int movement = (up ? -movementDistance : movementDistance);
[UIView beginAnimations: #"anim" context: nil];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState: YES];
[UIView setAnimationDuration: movementDuration];
self.view.frame = CGRectOffset(self.view.frame, 0, movement);
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
Hope this helps !
First open the xib file and set the Content insets(In Scrollview Size) to 200
Now update following two methods as below in .m file.
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *cell=#"Cell";
Cell *customCell= (Cell *)[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:cell];
if (customCell==nil) {
NSArray *bundle = [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:#"Cell" owner:self options:nil];
for (id object in bundle) {
if ([object isKindOfClass:[Cell class]])
{
customCell = (Cell *)object;
break;
}
}
}
customCell.IBTxtfield.tag=indexPath.row;
return customCell;
}
- (void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField{
NSIndexPath *path=[NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:textField.tag inSection:0];
[IBtblView scrollToRowAtIndexPath:path atScrollPosition:UITableViewScrollPositionTop animated:YES];
}

Date Picker controller need to set the selected value iphone

am using scrollview for text field when i press that text field the view scrolling down can anyone pls help me why its happening ?
This code am using for scroll
- (void)keyboardWasShown:(NSNotification*)aNotification {
if (keyboardShown)
return;
//static const float deviceHeight = 480;
static const float keyboardHeight = 216;
static const float gap = 5; //gap between the top of keyboard and the control
//Find the controls absolute position in the 320*480 window - it could be nested in other views
CGPoint absolute = [activeField.superview convertPoint:activeField.frame.origin toView:nil];
//NSLog(#"Keyborad Shown %f : %f",absolute.y,(keyboardHeight + gap);
if (absolute.y > (keyboardHeight + gap)) {
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:0.3f]; //this is speed of keyboard
NSDictionary* info = [aNotification userInfo];
CGSize kbSize = [[info objectForKey:UIKeyboardFrameBeginUserInfoKey] CGRectValue].size;
CGRect bkgndRect = activeField.superview.frame;
bkgndRect.size.height += kbSize.height;
[activeField.superview setFrame:bkgndRect];
[scrollview setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0.0, activeField.frame.origin.y-92) animated:YES];
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
keyboardShown = YES;
}
// Called when the UIKeyboardDidHideNotification is sent
- (void)keyboardWasHidden:(NSNotification*)aNotification {
//[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
//[UIView setAnimationDuration:0.003f]; //this is speed of keyboard
NSDictionary* info = [aNotification userInfo];
// Get the size of the keyboard.
NSValue* aValue = [info objectForKey:UIKeyboardFrameEndUserInfoKey];
CGSize keyboardSize = [aValue CGRectValue].size;
// Reset the height of the scroll view to its original value
CGRect viewFrame = [scrollview frame];
viewFrame.size.height += keyboardSize.height;
scrollview.frame = viewFrame;
//[UIView commitAnimations];
keyboardShown = NO;
}
- (void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField {
activeField = textField;
}
Try This....
This code my be helpful for you to scroll your scrollview up.
(BOOL)textViewShouldBeginEditing:(UITextView *)textView {
[scrView setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0, textView.frame.origin.y - 20)];
return YES;
}

keypad hides text view

i am placing a tableview,textview,buttons in a view as like this.
when ever i click on the textview keypad hides textview.To animate up textview i am writing the code as fallows.
- (void) textViewDidBeginEditing:(UITextView *)textView {
[self animateTextField:textView up:YES];
}
- (void) textViewDidEndEditing:(UITextView *)textView {
[self animateTextField:textView up:NO];
}
- (void) animateTextField: (UITextView*) textView up: (BOOL) up {
const int movementDistance = 80; // tweak as needed
const float movementDuration = 0.3f; // tweak as needed
int movement = (up ? -movementDistance : movementDistance);
[UIView beginAnimations: #"anim" context: nil];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState: YES];
[UIView setAnimationDuration: movementDuration];
self.view.frame = CGRectOffset(self.view.frame, 0, movement);
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
But it does n't take any effect.
And To hide the keypad i am writing this code
-(void) touchesBegan :(NSSet *) touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event {
[mytextview resignFirstResponder];
}
it is also does n't take any effect.
can any one please help me.
Thank u in advance.
For resigning keyboard;
Make a ToolBar with bar button and add an IBAction for this and set its y coordinate below the 480(screen hieght)
-(IBAction)hide
{
[mytextview resignFirstResponder];
}
and in viewWillAppear use
myTextView.inputAccessoryView=tlBar;
And add two notification in viewWillAppear for keyboard
NSNotificationCenter *nc = [NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter];
[nc addObserver:self selector:#selector(keyboardWillShow:) name: UIKeyboardWillShowNotification object:nil];
[nc addObserver:self selector:#selector(keyboardWillHide:) name: UIKeyboardWillHideNotification object:nil];
and then use these methods for Animation
-(void) keyboardWillShow:(NSNotification *) note
{
if(isAnimate)
[self viewAnimateUpper];
}
-(void)viewAnimateUpper
{
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:.3];
CGRect viewFrame=self.view.frame;
viewFrame.origin.y -=95;//according to you
self.view.frame=viewFrame;
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
-(void)viewAnimatedown
{
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:.3];
CGRect viewFrame=self.view.frame;
viewFrame.origin.y +=95;//according to you
self.view.frame=viewFrame;
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
-(void) keyboardWillHide:(NSNotification *) note
{
if(isAnimate)
{
[self viewAnimatedown];
}
}
Edit:
use textviewShouldBegainEditing
and in this set a boolvariable to yes if your desired textView call this method
isAnimate=YES;
I didn't find a chance to see you view,since my browser says "The image cant be dispalyed,It contains errors."
So try the following options.
Chk whether you have set the delegate of the textField to the files owner.If you have set and still not working,please try the below one.Its like animating the entire view up and down on textedits.
Please make use of the below code.This works for me.What you have to do is double click the .xib file where you want to add text fields.The view along with a window containing file's owner,first responder and a view will also be opened.
Use cmd+shift+l to open the library and add another view.In your .h file add a IBOutlet for the view as IBOutlet UIView *secondview and map to the file's owner.
Now put the text fields whichever has to moved in the second view.Now the default view which will appear when open the .xib file will contain nothing.It will be blank and the controls whichever you have to display will be on the second view.
In the .m file add the second view to the main view as
[self.view addSubview:secondView];
and use this code by customizing the text field names as you wish.
- (BOOL)textFieldShouldReturn:(UITextField *)textField
{
CGRect viewFrame = self.view.frame;
if(textField==textfield1)
{
[textfield1 resignFirstResponder];
[textfield2 becomeFirstResponder];
}
else if(textField== textfield2)
{
[textfield2 resignFirstResponder];
[textfield3 becomeFirstResponder];
}
else if(textField== textfield3)
{
[textfield3 resignFirstResponder];
[textfield4 becomeFirstResponder];
}
else if(textField== textfield4)
{
[textfield4 resignFirstResponder];
}
return YES;
}
- (void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField
{
CGRect viewFrame = secondView.frame;
CGRect textFieldRect =[secondView.window convertRect:textField.bounds fromView:textField];
CGRect viewRect =[secondView.window convertRect:secondView.bounds fromView:secondView];
CGFloat midline = textFieldRect.origin.y + 0.5 * textFieldRect.size.height;
CGFloat numerator =midline - viewRect.origin.y- MINIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION * viewRect.size.height;
CGFloat denominator =(MAXIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION - MINIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION)* viewRect.size.height;
CGFloat heightFraction = numerator / denominator;
if (heightFraction 1.0)
{
heightFraction = 1.0;
}
UIInterfaceOrientation orientation =[[UIApplication sharedApplication] statusBarOrientation];
if (orientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait || orientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown)
{
animatedDistance = floor(PORTRAIT_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT * heightFraction);
}
else
{
animatedDistance = floor(LANDSCAPE_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT * heightFraction);
}
viewFrame.origin.y -= animatedDistance;
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:KEYBOARD_ANIMATION_DURATION];
[secondView setFrame:viewFrame];
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
- (void)textFieldDidEndEditing:(UITextField *)textField
{
CGRect viewFrame = secondView.frame;
viewFrame.origin.y +=animatedDistance;
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:KEYBOARD_ANIMATION_DURATION];
[secondView setFrame:viewFrame];
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
Let me know does this worked.

Any good way to position UITableViewCellEditingStyleDelete icon within a grouped tableview?

as title, can i position the UITableViewCellEditingStyleDelete button/icon to be within the tableviewcell of a grouped tableview rather than outside of it?
An excerpt from a Matt Gallagher blog post reveals a method
This is the original code to mimic the behavior you DON'T want:
- (void)setEditing:(BOOL)editing animated:(BOOL)animated
{
[self setNeedsLayout];
}
- (void)layoutSubviews
{
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES];
[super layoutSubviews];
if (((UITableView *)self.superview).isEditing)
{
CGRect contentFrame = self.contentView.frame;
contentFrame.origin.x = EDITING_HORIZONTAL_OFFSET;
self.contentView.frame = contentFrame;
}
else
{
CGRect contentFrame = self.contentView.frame;
contentFrame.origin.x = 0;
self.contentView.frame = contentFrame;
}
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
So if we made a change, we can make it do what you do want:
- (void)setEditing:(BOOL)editing animated:(BOOL)animated
{
[self setNeedsLayout];
}
- (void)layoutSubviews
{
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES];
[super layoutSubviews];
if (((UITableView *)self.superview).isEditing)
{
//don't resize and and move your frame here
CGRect contentFrame = self.contentView.frame;
contentFrame.origin.x = 0;
self.contentView.frame = contentFrame;
}
else
{
CGRect contentFrame = self.contentView.frame;
contentFrame.origin.x = 0;
self.contentView.frame = contentFrame;
}
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
You'll proabably have to tweak this, but it is a good start.
