I have a report which displays information by group; I'd like to not show any group that doesn't have at least two items in it. Is there an easy way to do this?

Grouped on name, should not show Mark or James.
If your report is simplistic enough, you can get away with just suppressing the Group Header, Group Footer, and Details sections by using a summary function like count({table.somedate},{table.dudesname}) < 2. Note that the second parameter to a summary function has to be a field being used to group on.
Your mileage may vary with doing it this way. If you are displaying calculated summaries in the report footer, for example, it won't make sense to just suppress these groups as their data will still affect any report-level summary. The other problem you might run into is needing to use a distinct count on some field instead of just a count, depending on your table joins.
You could create a group-selection formula (Report | Selection Formula | Group...):
Count({table.field_to_count}, {table.grouped_field}) < 2

If a row has the same ID as the last one, I want to combine them - summing up the cubicFt and Savings. $perFt divides the savings by the cubicFt, so it wouldn't be summed, simply dividing the new results. I also want the Descriptions to be concatenated, like this:
Make a Group based on ID (or whatever the leftmost column is). Then suppress the Details section and the Group Header. Instead, you'll be putting all the fields you want to display in the Group Footer. From there it's simple:
Create a Summary or Running Total for both cubicFt and Savings.
Reconfigure your $PerFt to use the summary/running total fields you made in step 1.
Combine the Descriptions by creating a shared string variable Descriptions. Whenever the group changes, reset it with Descriptions = "". Whenever the group doesn't change, add the description string to your variable. Something like:
Descriptions = Descriptions & " ; " & {yourtable.Description}
Then create a final formula ShowDescription in the Group Footer to display the results with RIGHT(Descriptions, LEN(Descriptions)-2)
You need to do grouping, either by modifying the SELECT statement or the stored query that generates the data, or within Crystal Reports. I'm literally 20 years out of date on Crystal Reports, although I have used similar software, so this will have to be tweaked.
For the first solution, all you need is a concatenation aggregation function for the string field. Your DB may or may not have one built in, so you may need to add it.

SUM(cubicFt), SUM(savings),
SUM(savings)/SUM(cubicFt) AS [$perft],

However, you should be able to do the same within Crystal by setting this up as a subtotal group (not sure if you have to do user definitions for the string aggregation), and then hiding the detail section.
I have a view which shows data on crystal reports where I have fields like tariff,rental,shares,gross and net.My problem is if someone changes the tariff in database it would show 2 rows of the same record with different tariff which is normal behavior from database point of view but I want to suppress the field of monthly rental to 0 if the same id has different tariff or the rental is repeated in new record.

I want the field of Rental on reports to be suppressed if duplicates based on id.Currently I have used this formula in crystal report to check previous field data and suppress if duplicate.

It is working fine but if the id is not same and the rental is repeated then also it will suppress which I don't want.I want it to suppress only for same id.
You have to write the formula into field suppress. (No need on suppress if duplicated)
On Rental Field
{ID} = previous({ID}) and {rental} = previous({rental})
If ID and Rental are same then only the Report will suppress Rental.
I guess this will work for you.
In Crystal Reports, right-click on the Details section and select Section Expert.
In the Section Expert dialog box, select the X + 2 button beside the Suppress command. The check box must remain unselected for this formula to work.
In the Formula Editor dialog box, create a conditional formula containing the Next function to evaluate the records for duplicate values and to suppress the Details line
example:
{Table.Databasefield}=Previous({Table.Databasefield})
I had to make a slight change to the formula in the solution by Janarthanan by adding parenthesis to make it work with Crystal XI.
I used:
{ID}=previous({ID}) and {rental}=previous({rental})
this formatting variation, which is presented in the edited question, helped me to solve a similar problem.
Put this in suppress formula of field to hide.

It may be a bit more complicated then that, but here goes.
This report lists overtime on a weekly basis. Each driver has worksheets that outline details of a given shift. The user selects a period of a week, and I have some formulas that fill variables with their hours worked for each day of the week. The lines look something like this:
CKL09844 - LATTA Scott 9.5 8.6 10.5 11 0 hourlysum, etc.
The records are grouped by the 'Driver ID' - the first field - but I'd like to have them listed in alphabetical order. Only the group footers are being displayed currently. Anyone have any advice?
Edit: List them alphabetically by last name, that is.
You can either
Change the group to the 'LastName, FirstName' field or fields instead of driverID or
Use a summary to sort the group. You can do this by inserting a summary like maximum({table.name},{table.driverID}) and placing it in the footer and then suppressing it (It's stupid but Crystal needs this field actually in the report before it will allow you to access the next step). Then, go to "Report -> Group Sort Expert -> For this group sort: All" and select the summary you just made.
I have a problem with running Total in Crsystal report9
if their is no values available for a Paticular field how can we return the running total as '0'
Instead of display the Running Total directly in your report create a Formula Field based on the Running Total and drag it into the report.
Your formula should look like this (Crystal Syntax)...
if ISNULL({#RunningTotalField}) then
"0.00"

ToText(RunningTotalField, 2)
If there is no data for that particular group, then Crystal won't show it easily. Your options are :
1) Use subreports to display the values for a particular group, and keep the main report just looking at the table(s) containing the group headers.
2) Use a stored procedure as the source so you have full control over the SQL that is run.
The problem is that as soon as you use a field to group, Crystal will only return records where that field has been used. If it was simply in the Details section you could modify the link to a LEFT JOIN and it wouldn't matter, but the group forces the INNER JOIN which means the groups without data are not returned.
Unfortunately Running Totals don't show up if there are no records that match your criteria. An alternative is to use a set of formulas calculated in various sections of the report. The technique is widely described in the Crystal literature. For example, this TekTips gives a very succinct overview of your options.
You set up an initialising formula in each header, with the evaluation time directive "WhilePrintingRecords". This approach was the only one available for doing running totals in the "good ol' days" before RunningTotal objects were available.
I've been doing some accounting reports and have been summing up my different currencies using a formula
IE

Then I'd just display the CanadianCommissionSum at the bottom of the report and things were great.
I've just come across the requirement to do this, but grouped by Sales Rep. I tried using my previous formula, but this sums for the whole report. Is there an easy way to sum like this, based on which group it's in?
You probably figured this out a year ago, but just in case, try this:
Change your CanadianCommissionSum formula to
SUM({#CanadianCommissionFormula},{SalesRep})
Put this formula in your SalesRep's Group Footer section.
This should now display properly.
Create a group based on the sales rep in the Crystal Report, and place the:
SUM({#CanadianCommissionFormula})
...in the footer of the group.
I would assume that rexem's suggestion should work but since you said it gives you a total all of the sales reps you could change the sum to running total. Before doing this I'd double check that you have your field in the correct footer section though.
To do the running total, group by Sales Rep, and then set up your running total to evaluate on every record and reset on the change of the group. Then you can put this running total in the group footer and it will show subtotals.
