I created a eBay listing template generator.
It seemed to work find with Firefox and IE.
When we started to apply that to the real environment, we found out that the page looked bad in IE8.
I figured out that eBay removes DOCTYPE automatically and IE8 renders it in Quirk mode.
I searched for a solution and all answers said that I have to design it without DOCTYPE.
That's too much for me now.
Is there a better solution?

Emulating IE7 should allow the listing design to remain the same in IE7 and also IE8. Let me know if this helps.

Sorry this is a n00bish question, but desperate times... I'm an admin on a Facebook page, been up for years. I'm consistently getting a redirect to what appears to be a page related to Facebook's GDPR "changes." I use the word 'changes' loosely - I have no idea what this is about. Now, I'm personally admining the page from Ireland, for an organization based in the US, I don't know if that matters.
This all worked up until a couple days ago. I change nothing, but now I get 'too many redirects', from every browser I try on various computers (Chrome, Firefox, even Edge.) Yes, all running Win10.
Here are some of the pages that come up, can't quite discern the loop but it seems like the problems with the 'facebook.com/gdpr' page, which I think is bogus, somehow.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/manage
https://www.facebook.com/gdpr/consent/?consent_mode=5&entry_product=cg_block&from_messenger=0
....
Am I correct in assuming that the problem's on Facebook's side? Could there be something in my pages config (it's a dirt simple page) that's causing this? And, as admin, how can I fix this since I can't log in! Thanks for your patience in reading this.

I want to build a facebook app. I create a new application, put all information, like app domain, site url. Then click i to save, and error comes up:
Something went wrong. We're working on getting it fixed as soon as we can.
Where is a problem? Couple days ago, i can create a other app with no problems.
Update: If i want to make some changes on other applications on app settings tab, also click save and this error comes up.
Check here the progress on fixing the bug: https://developers.facebook.com/x/bugs/629640800428208/
edit: it's working for me now. ( 2014.01.08 19:10 GMT+1 )
You don't need to worry about it. They must be working on something. So they must have disabled the functionality for the time being.

My Facebook comment plugin has stopped working. It loads as an empty element (so nothing loads, basically)
Code can be seen directly on this page.
url: http://www.jamesthemusician.com/kudos
It was working this morning and I did not change the code.
It seems to be related to the use of arguments. Currently it is configured to relate the comments to the url http://www.jamesthemusician.com/kudos?ver=prod. If I remove the argument (?ver=prod) it works. I can't do that, though, since I would loose all the comments already associated with the page.
Any ideas?
Also, the moderation tool seems to have disappeared.
EDIT: The problem only occurres if I am logged in in Facebook as the administrator of the application. If I log out, then the comments load correctly.

Is anybody else getting this for their Facebook Like buttons. Tried on Chrome, Firefox, and IE and same thing.
For Google's sake, and because I've wasted much of my own time this way: whenever you see this error, it's worth checking if you've got AdBlock on.
According to https://developers.facebook.com/live_status/
As of 8:30pm 4/20/2012,
connect.facebook.net: We are currently seeing issues with users connecting to connect.facebook.net. This is resulting in the JS SDK not loading correctly. We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve this.
My company doesn't allow its employees to use facebook due to which the sdk was not loaded in the chrome. I had to use vpn to make it work. Hope this helps

call-for-help: we are keep getting the illustrated error after hitting "save changes" in the application settings dashboard ... the changes are saved though ... any link where we can report our app issue?
http://awesomescreenshot.com/046la8j4f
This is not a problem with your app..
This happens sometimes because your app server might have taken a longer time to update on FB servers and the connection timed out...
Nothing to worry about you an try again
I had the same issue and solved it by checking all the icons and screenshots. I made sure that they all was in the same format (.png) and then it worked!
I guess the issue, for me, is that i used different formats.
