How can set cursor: hand with GWT: label - gwt

I'd like to set a mouse listener to my Label so that I can change the cursor to a HAND_CURSOR when the user places their mouse over a label.
<g:Label text="Overview" styleName="left_menu_title" ui:field="lb_overview"/>
I tried to set style css "cursor: hand;" for this Label, but when run, all attribute cursor were replaced.
Do you have any suggestion?

The answer provided by user1557828 will in fact cause the Label to show the cursor when the mouse is over it, but there is a simpler way to achieve the same result:

testLabel.getElement().getStyle().setCursor(Cursor.POINTER);
This will set the cursor at instantiation and the style will persist. It is not necessary to re-apply the style each time the mouse moves over the label.

How to add a horizontal scrollbar on top of the ag-grid

I have an ag-grid set up with a series of components in place for cell rendering. When my dataset loads the vertical scroll works well but the horizontal scroll isn't obvious unless using a trackpad or horizontal scroll enabled mouse.
I would like to be able to add a scroll bar to the top of the grid as well as the automatically generated one at the bottom?
Has anyone encountered this, come up with as solution?

💡 The Idea
The main idea behind my solution is to...
clone AgGrid scrollbar when grid is ready
insert the cloned scrollbar on top of the grid
add event listeners on both scrollbars to keep the scroll position synchronized
use MutationObserver to observe style attribute changes on original AgGrid scrollbar element (and child) to keep the size of the cloned scrollbar synchronized

The following code is for Angular but the concept is the same for Vanilla JS, React or Vue.
First, get a hook on gridReady event:

AG-Grid render Bootstrap-Select as a dropdwon

I have implemented editable AG-Grid. In the grid, one of the column displays country of the player as shown below:
Now in last column, when user click on the cell, I want to display list of available countries as a dropdown.
Here by default AG-Grid displays normal dropdown. Which I want to replace with Bootstrap-select.
To achieve this, I have implemented custom selector and using Bootstrap-select library.
But when cell is clicked, Dropdown is not being rendered. I am not getting any error though in console.

I dont understand what is the issue.
The problem is the selectpicker jQuery method seems to add a display: none to the select element. Ag-Grid is adding it to the DOM you just can't see it. Additionally the getValue function is not returning the selected option's text.
The following changes to getValue and getGui will make the grid work:

For anyone looking at this now.... Ag-grid has a method afterGuiAttached that is called after the GUI has been attached to the Grid's cell. If you're noticing that the bootstrap-select still isn't "quite right" after following the instructions above, put ALL of the calls to selectpicker in afterGuiAttached instead of init or getGui. This will place the bootstrap-select into a div with the right classes it needs (dropdown, bootstrap-select, etc), and create all of the bootstrap-select elements that are properly shown/hidden.

Detect scrollHeight change with MutationObserver?

How can I detect when scrollHeight changes on a DOM element using MutationObserver? It's not an attribute and it isn't data either.
Background: I need to detect when a scrollbar appears on my content element, the overflow-y of which is set to auto. I figured that the instant the scrollbar appears the value of scrollHeight jumps from 0 to, say, 500, so the idea was to set up a MutationObserver to detect a change in this property.

Here's the answer, for anyone still looking for the solution:
As of today, it's not possible to directly monitor scrollHeight changes of an element.
The MutationObserver detects changes in the DOM tree, which could indicate a scrollHeight change, but that's a wild guess.
The ResizeObserver detects changes in the outer height of an element, but not the scrollHeight (i.e. "inner" height).
There is no ScrollHeight-Observer (yet).
BUT the solution is very close:

There's no point in observing the scroll-container because its outer height does not change. The element that changes their out height is any CHILD node of the container!
Once the height of a child node changes, it means, that the scrollHeight of the parent container changed.

Further steps
When children are added dynamically, you could add a MutationObserver to add new children to the ResizeObserver once they were added.
You can emulate this behavior by adding an internal wrapping element on the contenteditable element (eg a span) and then add the ResizeObserver listener on the internal element. The internal span has to be display:block otherwise it wont trigger the ResizeObserver.

Ag-grid RowStyle with selected row

I am using ag-grid 5.1.2
I've configured a getRowStyle function to set the background-color for certain items.
I've noticed that has overridden the 'selected row' color now, so when a row is selected the background will not change to indicate as such.What is the correct way to still let highlighted row color work with the custom getRowStyle. Here is the typescript for the rowStyle function:

In your CSSyou can choose not to target the selected row.
ag-Grid adds the class onto the row that is returned from your getRowStyle callback
It also adds .ag-row-selected for rows that get selected.
You can simply use CSS to only target not selected rows or even apply a different style to the rows that are both selected and have your custom class.

Use the getRowClass gridOption instead of getRowStyle. Then in CSS set the appropriate styles for your background row and the brackground row when highlighted.

GWT EditTextCell : How to increase editable TextBox width in EditTextCell?

I am using GWT2.3 in my project.
I want to increase editableTextBox width when user click on editableTextCell.
Problem is My Column width is 200 Px. when user clicks on editableTextCell then that TextBox width is around 125px in EditableTextCell is less as compare to column width.
I added EditTextCell in Celltable's column

You'll need to create a custom component. The out of the box EditTextCell does not allow you to set the size attribute of the input field, just the column width.
Have a look at the ValidateableInputCell impl here: In search of a GWT validation example... where art thou? for an example of how to craft a custom cell.
Admittedly the validation does not yet work but the ability to set the size on the input field within the cell does.
