I am new to swift and I was undoing a bunch of stuff on Main.storyboard. However, I accidentally deleted something from project navigator. Now xcode says no schemes. When I try to manage schemes, I cant find original project name. I cant even run my project. I am so lost, someone please help me recover my previous work.
you can try this:
right click CurryFinder.xcodeproj -> delete -> Remove Reference
click '+' at the down left corner of xcode -> add files -> select CurryFinder.xcodeproj add it again

I am a newbie to iOS Development. Learnt a chapter 2 days back about using settings bundle in my apps. The tutorial also showed me how to add new plist files and images into the settings bundle by ctrl+click opening the bundle in Finder.
But the newly added items do not show up in Xcode project organizer list. Is that how it works or do we have an alternative?

Thank you guys for the replies. Actually I figured out something weird. When I added objects to the settings bundle from Finder, they did not initially show up on Xcode. I closed everything and then reopened Xcode and saw them in the bundle inside Xcode. So I guess the error was on my part expecting the objects to be added in Xcode as soon as I added them to the File system via Finder.
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the advises.
It has to be there maybe inside any folder. When I add a file I usually add first a group (right click Add group) then there is a new folder so in the folder (example images) I right click and add a file.
It should be there, if not then right click on any folder/file in your xcode, tap on Show or Reveal in Finder, then it will take you to a place where all of your project files are placed, drag and drop from there into your project. It will not automatically pull into your project if you will add them in a folder on your disk. You will have to drag and drop into your project.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I am noobs at Xcode. I am on my second day of learning.
When I start Xcode, the main window has a button for "Getting Started with Xcode" and a subsequent link for "Xcode workflow tutorial"
Now I would simply like the help to be open at the same time as the IDE so that I can read and code. I clicked on the Xcode icon that opened up the original instance, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
How do I get both things to stay open at the same time?
Follow these steps -
Step 1: On opening X-Code, this window turns up-
Step 2: On clicking Getting started with Xcode , gives -
Step 3: On clicking Start Developing with Xcode gives-
Step 4: On clicking the link - Xcode Workflow tutorial present in Write a Sample Application gives-
Notice that in all the process your Xcode menubar remains unchanged i.e.,
Now, Click on File(or Cmd + Shift + N keyboard shortcut) , and select New Project should pop up the windows as shown in Workflow tutorial. Select the application type, saving should bring you new Xcode project. Arranging the two windows side by side should look some what like this -
Now code while you learn from the Workflow tutorial :)
Hope this is helpful.
You can open the documentation window via Cmd-Option-? and search for Getting Started with Xcode there. The option to open the documentation is also under the Help menu.
I generally open a project first and then open the documentation afterwards, if necessary.
Is there a shortcut in Eclipse for "open project"? Ideally, I'd like something like the "Open Resource" dialog.
I want this because I have a "testing" project, which I use whenever I want to try something out… But it's annoying to scroll through the massive Navigator trying to find it and click it when it gets closed.
Not by default. The action is defined here, with no keyboard shortcut.

You could add a Working Set that contains only your test project, and use 'Select Working Set...' functionality from the Navigator tab's view menu:
While this won't open the project for you, it WILL make it the only thing you see in navigator or package explorer.
Once you've added it, it will be in a list and you won't need to open the 'Select Working Set...' dialog, just select 'my test project' from the popup menu. It's triggered by that small triangle in the upper right of Navigator, I'm not sure if there is a shortcut.
To switch back to your normal work, simply 'Deselect Working Set' and you will then see everything again.
I also find the 'Collapse All' button/shortcut to be handy when finding things in the Package Explorer or Navigator tabs.
I'll offer a solution to a problem I've had which, if I've interpreted the question correctly, is very similar to yours.
I find that when I have a lot of projects with loads of expanded directories/packages inside Project Explorer, trying to find a particular project is irritating because I have to scroll through all this. I could collapse all projects down but then I also lose my current position in every project.
I'd just like to be able to search for a particular project by name and open it, in the Project Explorer tree. Opening a file inside the project using Open Resource isn't a good enough workaround, as having to think of the name of a file inside that project completely out of context is often equally annoying!
A solution that works great (at least in Eclipse Juno, Mac OSX) is, with the Project Explorer focused, to hold Shift and start typing the project name. This dynamically selects the best matching project in the Explorer as you type. Then with your hands still on the keyboard you can use the arrow keys to open up and browse the project.
It ain't pretty but it gets the job done, and saves some valuable seconds :)
You could also:
switch workspace (in a workspace with only this test project in it) (no shortcut: you can define one)
install mylyn and select a "test" task (which would immediately empty your Navigator view, leaving only the relevant classes/methods).
If the test project is already opened and you know the name of the class in it, you could go to this class with Navigate -> Open Type (There is a shorcut also, on mac osx is Shift + Command + T)
I find it easier to move with this method, but I didn't know it until someone else showed me, maybe it helps.
You can set a shortcut at Preferences->General->Keys, search for Open Project. However, for me it does not work from the editor itself. I have to click the package explorer, for example. Also, if you have a lot of projects, there will be a huge list of them as well, as expected.
