Testing Facebook Native iOS App - iphone

I would like to integrate Facebook into an iOS application I am building, however it seems there is no way to set up a Facebook 'Native iOS Application' with an iOS application that is not already published and available in the App Store.
When I Set up a Native iOS Application for my Facebook App from my Facebook developer's account it requires that I fill in my App Store ID. However when I submit I get the following error message:
Your iPhone App Store ID is invalid because the iTunes App Store
reports your app as being unavailable for iPhone and iPod touch.
I have set up my application on iTunes Connect, but I have not submitted my binary yet as I am in the process of building it, so I assume that this message is due to it being unavailable on the App Store.
This seems like a catch 22 situation. I can't test my app until its in the App Store but I can't get my app in the AppStore until I have tested (and built) it. How can I test my iOS application with Facebook before release?

I've been there, but the solutions is simple.
Don't fill out the Facebook 'Native iOS Application'!
For testing all you needed is the Facebook appid.

Later on in the Deep Linking portion of the iOS Facebook Tutorial, it also mentions the AppStore ID and that you can use somebody else's ID temporarily to get all the data to save. They just say to make sure you use your own id when you finally do publish the app.

I dont think facebook Native iOS App settings are necessary. I have done facebook login with it in two of my apps and without it in one of my app and all are running well. Here are workaround by me:
Native iOS Facebook SSO won't return to app

How to test an iOS Facebook app before getting an app ID from Apple?

I'm developing an iPhone app which uses Facebook sharing. I cannot create the Facebook app because it requires an "iPhone app store ID". I don't have this id because I haven't submitted the app yet. I can't submit the app because it doesn't work yet... because the Facebook integration isn't set up.
It seems that I'm stuck in a paradox! Am I missing something?
You can generate an Apple ID for your app, by logging into iTunesConnect and going through the submission process. Just stop short of clicking the 'Ready to Upload' button. Then your app will have an Apple ID that you can use, and you can still go back and change any of the metadata that Apple asked you to enter (description, keywords, screen shots, etc.).
Once you've finished building your app, log back into iTunesConnect, make the final changes to your App Store details, then upload the binary.
You don't need YOUR Appstore ID, you just need ANY. This ID is used for a link from facebook to your App in the store. As long as you don't care that this link will leed to another app - not yours - i.e. while testing, you can just enter any Appstore ID. That's what I did and it works fine.
Facebook's iOS tutorial says:
iPhone App Store ID - If you have an iPhone app that is listed in the
iTunes App Store enter the ID here, e.g. 123456. If Facebook links out
to your app and finds that the user does not have your app installed,
then it will take the user to your app in the store. The user can then
install your app. If your app is not in the iTunes App Store you can
enter any valid app's ID but be sure to update this when your app is
approved in the App Store.
For testing use 0(Zero),
iPhone Store ID = 0
iPad Store ID = 0
and click on Save Changes.
0 Will be disappeared but your work will be done.
Note:- update this id before going live.

IOS5 Twitter - is there a way to retain the App association?

If a Tweet is created using the native Twitter API, the Tweet has a "via [my-app]" indication, where [my-app] is a link to the App's home page.
If the same Tweet is created using the new IOS5 Twitter API, the app says "via IOS" and the link points to www.apple.com.
Is there a way to retain my App association when using the IOS5 API without adding a link to the Tweet itself?
If not, can I continue to use the native Twitter API under IOS5 or is this a cause for rejection?
According to the FAQ on the Twitter iOS developer site, this only happens because your app is not yet live in the app store:
If your application is not yet live in the App Store:
The application making the requests must be launched in Apple's App Store in order for the
attribution to display on twitter.com. Note that the iOS5 version of the application must be
live, not just a previous version.
They also have some tips on how to fix this if it still happens after you're live in the app store here: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/ios-frequently-asked-questions
Since the via [my-app] is set in Twitter application configuration I dont think that you can set it via the iOS Twitter API.
Apple will not reject your app for using the Twitter API directly (for example using Sharekit or MGTwitterEngine). At least they did not reject my app which still uses the ShareKit.

How do you get your app to appear on the Facebook Mobile Application? (specifically iPhone)

We have a popular Facebook Application and a version of our App for the iPhone. I was wondering how we can make our Application appear in the "Apps" Section on the new Facebook iPhone app. On my iPhone I currently see links to the App store for Pixable, Badoo, Airbnb, Foursquare and WhoisNear iPhone Application.
I have filled out the Native iOS App settings in the Developer section on Facebook (including adding the Bundle ID and the iPhone app store ID) several weeks ago thinking it took a while to update, but still nothing shows up on my iPhone app.
Any help would be appreciated.
Best,
M
Screenshot of where we want our app to show up:
Edit your Application Settings and on the Basic Settings specify a Mobile Web URL for your Mobile Web integration. You should be able to set the URL to your app's iTunes URL.
Fill out the iOS information within the admin settings of your application, which also means they are using the same application id. You also have to have granted at least the basic permissions via connect on the app, and have the app installed on the phone.

Facebook Authorize not working on free version of app

I have a free and paid version of my app on itunes but as the free version has in app purchase I cant use the same bundle id across the two apps and therefore the only way I can see of adding facebook to the free app is having a second facebook app registered?
I have done this but for some reason when calling [facebook authorize: permissions] my app boots up the facebook app but returns straight away to my app, not getting in to any of the handleOpenUrl functions or even asking the user for permissions. The code is identical line by line to the paid version of my app with the only difference being the appID that is used. Any ideas what would cause this? Facebook did work on both apps until the recent updates.
After further playing around with this code I have found it works if I tell it to not use the FB App and to instead use safari authorisation. Still failing to see why I can use the app on one app but not another :s
Log in to developers.facebook.com and check your iOS bundle ID for your free app carefully. Make sure the bundle ID you tell Facebook is exactly what your app thinks it is. If it's not identical, the new Facebook app will not allow your app to authenticate.
You can have multiple iOS apps use the same Facebook app. Check this link..
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/mobile/ios/build/#multipleapps
There are three steps:
Add the additional bundle id in your apps "iOS Bundle ID" file in your faceBook app settings.
Then in your iOS apps, use the 'urlSchemeSuffix' option in the 'initWithAppId' method.
Modify the URL Schemes property in the info.plist.
The link explains it in detail. No need to register a 2nd app with Facebook.
Hope this helps.

Facebook app error when leaving "native ios app" field blank

I previously had a facebook app working great with my native IOS app. I recently recreated the app to rename it for when we release to the app store.
When I select "Native IOS App" and enter the bundled Id but leave "iphone app store id" blank, I get this error:
"Error
You have enabled a Native iOS App integration for your app, but have not specified an iPhone App Store ID or iPad App Store ID"
It says this field is optional.
Use 210849718975311, the iPhone App Store ID used by the sample application Hackbook found on Facebook's developer pages.
As a work around go ahead and add any valid iTunes app ID, even if you do not have a live app in the iTunes store. Once your app goes through iTunes you can come back and change this setting. The other alternative is to come back and add your bundle ID and iTunes information when your app is live.
