I want to create a simple j2me application for a start which links with facebook
For this ,
I downloaded the facebook api from http://kenai.com/projects/facebookapime/downloads
Then i followed this site for tutorials http://j2megroup.blogspot.in/2011/06/facebook-api-me-10-tutorial.html
But then for first i got 2 problems
1) I did not get Browser class ( it gives a compilation error in eclipse even after adding the external library )
2) I did not got what to put in Redirect uri
(i got first 2 parameters (App id and App secret but not redirect uri)
later ... when i came to know that its for swt project ... not the j2me pure midlet
can anyone tell me what's for pure j2me midlet ?
help me with a code snippet or something like that ... that would be preffered
write below code in startApp method
boolean b;
String URL = "Your URL";
b = platformRequest(URL);
destroyApp(true);
notifyDestroyed();
That code will start browser and transffer you on that perticular URL and close your J2ME app.
Use
platformRequest(your URL);
May be it will work

Experience cloud vistor id is used. App, web are using same adobe launch library. When I login into app url change and mid changes and then if I navigate from app to web responsive page mid is changed and I am not seeing any cross-domain pathing report from app to web ?
anything do I need to do with s.cookiedomainperiod or anything to make this work?
The Experience Cloud Visitor ID is not automatically carried over from the native mobile app to a (mobile) web page. The long story short is native apps don't really store data locally in the same way as web browsers, so there's no automatic ability to use the same local storage mechanism/source between the two.
In order to do this, you must add some code to the mobile app to append the mid value to the target URL, e.g. :
Android
String urlString = "http://www.example.com/index.php";
String urlStringWithVisitorData = Visitor.appendToURL(urlString);
Intent browserIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(urlStringWithVisitorData));
startActivity(browserIntent);
iOS
NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:#”http://www.example.com/index.php"];
NSURL *urlWithVisitorData = [ADBMobile visitorAppendToURL:url];
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:urlWithVisitorData];
If implemented properly, you should now see a adobe_mc= parameter appended to the target URL. Then on page view of the target page, if you have the Adobe Analytics javascript and Experience Cloud Visitor ID libraries implemented, they will automatically look for and use that value instead of generate a new value (should not require any config / coding on this end).
Update:
#Ramaiyavraghvendra you made a comment:
Hi #Crayon, mny thanks for your profound answer. I am sorry that i
missed to inform that this app is not native one but this is a SPA
app. so the implementation of entire app is also done through launch.
Could you pl help in this case then.
I'm not entirely sure I understand your issue. If you are NOT moving from a native mobile app to web page, and your mobile app is really a web based SPA that outputs Launch as regular javascript code throughout the entire app, then you shouldn't have to do anything; the Experience Cloud ID service should carry over the id from page to page.
So it sounds to me like perhaps your Experience Cloud Visitor ID and/or Adobe Analytics collection server settings are not configured correctly. the cookie domain period variables may be an issue, if logging in involves moving from say www.mysite.com to www.mysite.co.uk or similar, but shouldn't be a problem if the TLD has the same # of periods.
Or, the trackingServer and trackingServerSecure variables may not be configured properly. In practice, I usually do not set trackingServerSecure at all. These variables get kind of confusing and IMO buggy in different scenarios vs. what you are using, so I tend to use the "secure" value in the trackingServer field and leave the trackingServerSecure blank, and then Experience Cloud Visitor ID and Adobe Analytics will just use the secure version 100% of the time.
Or..it could be a number of other config variables not properly set. It's hard to say if any of this is off, without access to the app and Launch container.
Also you may want to check the response headers for your logged in pages. It may be that they are configured to reject certain existing non-https cookies or something else that effectively causes the existing cookies to be unreadable and make the Experience Cloud ID service generate a new ID and cookies.
Or.. maybe your app kind of is a native mobile app but using an http wrapper to pull in web pages, so it is basically a web browser but it is effectively like moving from one web browser to another (e.g. starting on www.site.com/pageA on Chrome, and then copy/pasting that URL over to Internet Explorer to view). So effectively, different cookie jar.
Launch (or DTM) + Experience Cloud ID (Javascript methods)
In cases such as the last 2 paragraphs, you have to decorate your target links the same as my original answer, but using the Launch + Experience Cloud ID Service javascript syntax:
_satellite.getVisitorId().appendVisitorIDsTo('[your url here]');
You write some code to get the target URL of the link. Then run it through this code to return the url with the parameters added to them, and then you update your link with the new URL.
Super generic example that just updates all links on the page. In practice, you should only do this for relevant link(s) the visitor is redirected to.
var urls = document.querySelectorAll('a');
for (var i = 0, l = urls.length; i < l; i++) {
if (urls[i].href) {
urls[i].href = _satellite.getVisitorId().appendVisitorIDsTo(urls[i].href);
}
}
I have a JavaEE Application. I am trying to implement OAuth.
But I am facing some strange issues:
As per the documentation to manually building the sign in web flow I have to provide a link like this https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=1231298371123&display=popup&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8080%2Fc%2Fportal%2Fauth%2Ffacebook_login%3F&scope=email,public_profile,user_birthday&response_type=code%20token which will open the dialog. But the dialog is not opening.
And when the SSO is successful FB is redirecting to the url given above but the problem is FB is appending the query strings like state, code, etc with #. Something like: http://localhost:8080/c/portal/auth/facebook_login?#state=ASDASDASDASD&access_token=EAANXZAlBTi........ Because for this I cannot get the parameters in Java.
Do any one came across this kind of issue.
Please help.
Not sure if I understood the question right but if you want to read the string after # you can use the following code
URI uri = new URI("http://test.com/#something=some");
String fragment = uri.getFragment();
fragment will be everything after #
I am trying to create a sample project which consumes DFP services.
Till now :
Still in authentication part :
a) Successfully created clientId, while creating new Client Id have checked installed apps options in the Google developer console.
b) Added the clientId, clientSecret to ads.properties .
Note : Took dfp-axis-jars-and-examples-2.2.0.tar and making my changes in it[by importing project in IDE].
c) I ran into trouble while trying to paste the authoriseUrl in the browser after running GetRefreshToken.
Please find below the error :
"The redirect URI in the request: urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob can only
be used by a Client ID for native application. It is not allowed for
the 'WEB' client type. You can create a Client ID for native
application in the Credentials section of the Google Developers
Console."
I believe I have selected the wrong applicationType while creating new ClientId .
Appreciate inputs .
The above answer did not make much sense at first glance but, I have resolved this issue by simply setting a value for redirectUri. So inside of my GetRefreshToken.php file
$redirectUri = "http://same_url_as_the_one_listed_in_console";
After closing looking at the authoriseUrl, it seemed I was sending the wrong redirectUrl.
I forgot to copy paste the redirectUrl generated from the creation of client id in the GetRefreshToken callback property:
private static final String CALLBACK_URL = "https://www.example.com/oauth2callback";//"urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob";
No error now :).
I am working on an app where I have to use Yahoo account to login.
I had gone through this link and followed the procedure as it was there.But I am unable to get back to my app after authentication.After googling I found an answer here.Here he said that "Add an URL Scheme in your info.plist file with the YOUR_APP_ID_OR_BUNDLE_ID" I did the same,but unable to redirect from yahoo to my app.If any one worked on this please help me.Thanks in advance.
This is what I had done in my URL Schemes
where JCzOzd44 is my app ID.
In yahoo account while creating the app.what should I give in "Application Domain"
I didn't work with the Yahoo! API yet, but in oauth it works like that:
Create an url scheme in your app. You can do that in the Info section of your project settings (URL types). Name the scheme whatever you want, for example your app id.
When you authenticate your app, you can pass a parameter named oauth_callback. Here you have to pass the name of the just created url scheme.
This should be it - when the login is ok on the Yahoo side, it will try to open the app that is registered for the url scheme it got as callback parameter.
UPDATE:
From the Yahoo! API documentation - this is the call you do when requesting the oauth token somewhere in your code (I filled in your url scheme as the callback, this is how it should look like):
https://api.login.yahoo.com/oauth/v2/
get_request_token?oauth_nonce=ce2130523f788f313f76314ed3965ea6
&oauth_timestamp=1202956957
&oauth_consumer_key=123456891011121314151617181920
&oauth_signature_method=plaintext
&oauth_signature=abcdef
&oauth_version=1.0
&xoauth_lang_pref="en-us"
&oauth_callback="JCzOzd44://"
Of course the request should be signed.
I have found the solution though with a little overheads.
Steps are: 1> Create a PHP script in you own server (say named, YRedirect.php).
2> Paste the following code in it-
CODE
<?php
$query = $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'];
header("Location: com-mycompany-myapp://oauth-response?" . $query);
>
Where "com-mycompany-myapp" is your bundle identifier
3> Add an URL Scheme in your info.plist file with the YOUR_APP_ID_OR_BUNDLE_ID. That's it and you are DONE with the authentication problem.
In your code
[self.session sendUserToAuthorizationWithCallbackUrl:#"http://yourdomain.com/YRedirect.php"];
Then, register a custom URL scheme for your iPhone application from your Info.plist file, and then setup your server side script to redirect Safari back to your application via the URL scheme you just set up.
Thanks for this valuable information. Following your instructions I got the auth & call back working and the php page loads the app.
I am trying to call a SOAP service using this SOAP client but it is not working for me. Please help me. How can I send and receive XML SOAP with Phonegap?
Phonegap is HTML/JS/CSS commonly communicating via XHR/Ajax. It's better to use jQuery Ajax functions. You can get the details here.

If you find any cross-domain issues (or working in a browser and not working with simulator/device), please refer to the below steps.
Go to the Resources folder, you can see a file named Cordova.plist. Click on that and you can see the Root elements. Right click on the Root, add a row, set the key as ExternalHosts with type Array.
Expand the item, and add an item as item0. Give it type string and enter the value as '*'.
Don't forget to save the Cordova.plist after changes (just use cmd+s).
