I closed the DB2 system tray icon in Windows XP and now I can't figure out how to restore it.
It doesn't reappear on reboot even.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks in Advance!!!!
DB2 icon sometimes doesn’t show on system tray.
To restore this as previously, run this command on command prompt:
db2systray +auto
Hope this solve your problem!

Just download the windows x64 code-cli(not vscode desktop!), and run the command again. The problem is solved. It seems to the magic problem with vscode desktop(version 1.74.1).

I would like to install PostgreSQL on windows 7. Howver I faced one problem when I am going to launch pgAdmin 4. It shows that "Fatal Error. application server could not be contacted." I tried run as Administrator, deleted file pgAdmin in AppData. Deleted python and in my path. Added PostgreAQL in my path. However due to some reason it shows the above proble. I need your help. Thank you in advance
Here is the solution that worked for me on windows 10:
Delete the pgAdmin folder from AppData C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\pgAdmin (Note: AppData is a hidden folder),
Search for "Services" with windows search, scroll down to postgres and click on "stop",
Run pgAdmin as Administrator.
Unistall existing postgresql on your computer. This should uninstall the entire applications associated with postgresql including pgadmin4. Go to your start menu and type in "pgadmin4" to show if you still have associated file.If you see any, trace the location and delete it.
You can now re-install a fresh copy of POSTGRESQL from Enterprisedb which will automatically install pgadmin4 for you. The new installation will prompt you to enter new password. Use a password you can remember since you will always need it to access the database.
I uninstalled my python IDLE and then installed the latest python IDLE. When installed it will give you an option if you should allow all programs including python to have full access to the AppData PATH choose yes and the fatal error will disappear
When i am launching unity3d, pop-up comes with AcLayers.dll currupt or damage as image below:
please help if anyone have faced this error and solved it.
The AcLayers.dll is part of Windows, which means something broke your OS.
Try to restore your Windows 8 Installation like this:
Press the Windows Key and X on your desktop
Select Command Prompt (Administrator) in the menu
In the Command Prompt window type the following, and press Enter:
sfc /scannow
SFC scan will make Windows replace corrupt or missing system files on your computer.
I'm adding this question after spending an entire day wrestling with this incredibly frustrating feature of the Windows 10 command prompt which made me think there was something wrong with my console application code. I hope it will help someone.
Issue: My console application seems to randomly stop running. What is going on?
The issue ended up being a new feature of the windows 10 console. Under the default config, whenever you click on a command window in windows 10, it immediately halts the application process when it attempts to write to the console. When this happens, the command window has gone into "selection" mode.
You can tell it has happened because it will prefix the title bar of the command window with the word "Select" :
To get your program running again, you have to press escape or click somewhere else.
To get rid of this strange behavior, you can disable QuickEdit mode:
What I'd like to add here to Shaun Rowan's answer is that for it to work in all console windows you have to click "Defaults", instead of "Properties" and make your changes there, as described in this post.
I faced this problem very recently where one of the users (who had Quickedit configured on his Command Prompt) was using a tool I developed in Java, and was getting the tool frozen while running it from command prompt.
Finally what solved the problem was to redirect the logging inside the batch script to a file as shown below:
#echo off
...
java.exe -jar mytool.jar
needed to be updated to
java.exe -jar mytool.jar > log.txt
Yesterday I installed Teamviewer 7 on my Centos 5.8 desktop. After a reboot, am not able to see the login screen. Only a blue color screen is visible.
I read https://superuser.com/questions/403548/os-x-stuck-at-blue-screen-after-installing-teamviewer-host-and-rebooting?rq=1
But how do I do that on Centos?
I know that to login to Single User Mode, we need to press a key while the os boots up. And then type single in the cmd. And then?
Once in Single User Mode, you can try to remove TeamViewer from your system.
For example, if you have installed TeamViewer by running the rpm -ivh teamviewer_linux.rpm command, you can run the rpm -e teamviewer_linux command to uninstall it.
I don't think that the Mac OS link you've referred to can be very useful in your case.
If you peek into the teamviewer_linux.rpm (for example by running the command rpm -qpl teamviewer_linux.rpm) you won't find any "Launch Agents and Daemons", since on CentOS TeamViewer is wrapped around a Windows Emulator (wine).
By default the TeamViewer files gets installed in the /opt/teamviewer folder; the only exception is the startup script /usr/bin/teamviewer7.
Finally, the rpm post-installation script does nothing more and nothing less than create a desktop icon and add a menu entry, so I can't really understand how the TeamViewer installation could have broken your system.
