I'm trying to write a module, which triggers a HTTP POST to an API when a user receives an offline message in ejabberd. It's for an iOS app which supports Push notifications.
I followed the guide on http://jasonrowe.com/2011/12/30/ejabberd-offline-messages/
I tested the code in the blog post. Most parts are working, but the from attribute is missing in the intercepted offline message. As you can see in the above blog post, the author's screen shot has the same problem, too. So, how can I get the sender's account name in an offline message Packet?
Did I miss something or is it a bug (in offline message, from attribute is just missing)?
BTW, I configured shared roster 'Everyone' in my ejabberd config, which allows everyone to see everyone as 'contacts'. I'm not sure if it's the reason.
Thanks :)
Please use the below blog , it is very simple and usful, it is works fine for me.

Thanks,
I've got the same issue and change the message package in Client code will fix this. Simple add 'from' attribute to it :)

I created a draft message and attached it correctly to a gmail thread with the Gmail Api.
But I have no clue how to add the "To, and Reply-To" to that draft. At this point, the draft appears without the "TO" value added to it in gmail.
I searched on Stackoverflow and found a solution using AE.NET.MAIL . See : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/32787230/how-to-create-a-gmail-api-message#=
However that nuget seems not to allow adding it to a thread.
So basically I am needing to :
1) Have a solution for adding the TO to my current Gmail created draft solution.
2) Or to have a solution for adding the generated draft to the thread, if it's possible at all with AE.NET.MAIL or MIMEKIT nuget.
Which way should I go?
thanks so much.
I understood that you already created a mail draft with Gmail API, and you now want to specify a to address. If that is the case, you can add them as payload headers of the message as described here. Those headers must comply with the standard RFC2822 (Internet Message Format). You can see a detailed example here. Please, don't hesitate to ask further doubts.
I applied twice in the google forms for a developer key for soundcloud to use a widget on my website. It has been more than 3 weeks and I have still not got any reply from them. What do I do?
I'm afraid you just have to wait until they respond. I have applied 3 times now and keep getting rejected and the response is a generic answer not explaining why you were denied. For me I think it is the APP URL, yet they don't explain, it is so frustrating.
Did you try email api#soundcloud.com on my first rejection they were very friendly and replied with advice, however second time they did not.
You can also try calling help on +4930467247600 however they have not worked for me.
Lastly I read online that one person heard nothing from them for weeks and checked his SoundCloud developer page under 'YOUR APPS' and his app was there set up and with the client id and secret etc. He was just never informed that he got it. So hopefully that is the story in your case.
For me it took four weeks. I contacted them via Twitter and Email. They responded but all they said was:
"As mentioned previously, we’re currently working through applications
as quickly as possible, although there has recently been more requests
than usual lately causing delays.
You should receive confirmation soon though."
I'm quite a noobie at Firebase. I'm asking for a sort of step by step guide to setup email verification.
Currently, my app uses basic email password login. I want users to be verified so I'm hiding content based on a user's emailVerified property. I'm calling the .sendEmailVerification() and it sends to the current user's email but, whenever I click the link in the email it says the link has expired or someone has used it, this also doesn't change the property. I suspect it has something to do with the api manager. I currently have my website hosted to the built-in Firebase hosting URL.
Based on this link in the docs (which refers to a similar function but not the exact one): https://firebase.google.com/docs/reference/js/firebase.auth.Auth#sendPasswordResetEmail
p.s. I can't find anything regarding this exact function in the docs.
I think I need some sort of listener at the link of the email or on my website?
Thanks in advance, any answers are appreciated.
there could be an issue with your browser api key. You may have some referrer restrictions on it. This could cause the misleading error (code expired or used) to occur. Either fix that issue or generate a new one in the Google console.
After paypal updated their interface (sandbox.paypal.com for example is not working, now you have to go to developer.paypal.com) many of the things are not working: 2 of them are particularly frustrating and I was hoping someone here knew how to get around them:
Am I the only one whose sandbox customer test accounts are not able to make purchases? The transaction page says they are not available.
IPN validation is not letting me send a https request. When I do it says there is something wrong with the server name. Yesterday however before the update I could get verified status. If I dont put https, now my handler gives me an invalid responde status, code: 400. What does it mean?
To fix the HTTP 400 error, follow the instructions in https://www.x.com/content/bulletin-ipn-and-pdt-scripts-and-http-1-1 and update your code to pass "Host" information. Ideally, things should work with just the recommended changes from the above link. Apparently, thats not the case. Here is a fix from one of the PayPal MTS person - PalPAL sandbox IPN processor rejecting all messages?
Remove the "cmd=notify-validate" option from the validation URL. I tried this and it worked. Though it doesn't return the right string, atleast it doesnt break with the 400 error.
While we wait for a fix from Paypal, I wonder how a company like PayPal can cause such a huge blunder and not post anything on their status page - https://www.x.com/developers/paypal/documentation-tools/site-status/pp-cri. It just makes you think that even smaller companies can do a better job than companies like PayPal.
For the code:400 issue, you have to update the post to version 1.1. That information is located here.
https://www.x.com/content/bulletin-ipn-and-pdt-scripts-and-http-1-1 in this bulletin.
However, as I posted before the asp.net example uses a call, that does not exist, so I was only able to get mine partly working. After fixing this, the servers appear to be rejecting calls to https, or the cert they have installed is invalid.
Action Required before February 1, 2013
Merchants need to update their IPN and/or PDT scripts to use HTTP 1.1, and include the “Host” header in the IPN postback script. In addition to this bulletin, these merchants will be notified via a direct email.
Alright, seems to be fixed!
If you are having trouble logging in, like suggested above, clear cache and cookies and try again.
Regarding the error 400, seems to have been solved by paypal!
I am implementing a XMPP client for my iPhone App, I ahve completed all the things in (Chatting with other users , showing presence of other users , etc.)
But the one thing for which I am stuck is that , I am unable to get the new user registered from my App. I am using following snippet,
if ([appDelegate.xmppStream supportsInBandRegistration])
[appDelegate.xmppStream registerWithPassword:txt_Password.text error:nil];
But for this, supportsInBandRegistration method always returns NO and the registerWithPassword: method is never called.
Please provide some help regarding the same.
What server are you using? Some servers support in-band registration even thought they don't send the correct stream:feature according to XEP-0077. Most of them should give the feature in the disco results however.
In other words, try commenting out your if ([appDelegate.xmppStream supportsInBandRegistration]) and see if it works. If so, you'll need to complain either to your library developer or to your server developer or both.
