Facebook connect, register on 2 sites at the same time - facebook

Can I connect to 2 different websites at the same time using fb connect?
I have a networking site that uses FB connect but I also have a forum that I would like my users to register on is there any way that when they sign up to one site they automatically create the same user details on the other site using the connect button?
Or is there another way around it so that I can have them join both sites at the same time so they dont create 2 different users?
Any help would be great but please put it in simple terms as Im not very experienced at things like this :)

Your best bet would be to create your forum as a subdomain of your main site, so https://forum.yoursite.com. If you do this, even if the two are hosted/run separately, you can use the same FB login.
Otherwise if they're not the same site then really users shouldn't be signing up for both at the same time.

Making 'app' available to other people's pages

I've got incoming messages working via webhook, but what I cannot understand is how I make this available to other users.
I run a SaaS that's used by many different organisations, so I want to be able to give those organisations (who each have a subdomain on my domain) the ability to 'connect to facebook messenger', so that all of the messages to their facebook page (whatever that may be), come into their portal view on my platform.
The only way I can see this working, is by getting each user to register as a developer, and go through all the set up that I did to get my test example working.
But I must be missing something? What's the workflow to enable this, simply, so that users can connect in this way?
You can have multiple Facebook pages connected to your single Facebook app. But you would require permissions from Facebook for that. You can read about permissions here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions/

Facebook app id for website social plugins

I have like/share buttons on my website and am not currently using an appid. Finding information on whether this is a necessity for the above configuration is difficult to confirm. When going through the Facebook app "create" forms, I'm really confused by a lot of the requirements as it seems to be more focused around actual apps rather than websites, which login via fb etc.
In the past I have created an app for one of my other websites and I don't believe there was any verification/submission process at this point (about 2-3 years ago). Reviewing my old app configuration now I can see that it is not "live" - does anyone know whether Facebook implemented this submission process in the last couple of years, and then de-activated any live apps that were created prior to this?
I now want to setup a new app for my new website and I'm unsure what the different 'action types' mean and what I would need to simply use like/share buttons on the website. Could someone give me a quick run down of what I'd need and what they are?
Any other info/tips people can provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm finding that the like/share DO still work without the app, but sometimes the share button doesn't work properly (I have a feeling this is something to do with the app).
Thanks
If you are just using the Social Plugins, you don't need to have a Facebook App ID.
If you want more integration, it will be required. Creating an App ID is like registering your App, wether an iOS or Android App or just a website, so that you can make Graph API calls for it.
The easiest way to register your website is to go the quickstart: https://developers.facebook.com/quickstarts/?platform=web (or https://developers.facebook.com/apps). There you can type a name and follow the steps.
You can then follow the "Sharing best practices" (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/best-practices#tags) on how to use the App ID. For example, by including an fb:app_id meta tag on your pages.
There is a review process, since last April, but that is only needed if you use permissions for your App. If you just use the plugins, that is not needed.
Can you explain more what is exactly not working?
Update
The time you create a page the Facebook crawler does not know yet what the Opengraph data for that one is. This will happen after the first share, but if you want to ensure it is correct from the first share on, you can force a re-scrape.
This section explains how that works:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/opengraph/using-objects#update
When an app triggers a scrape using an API endpoint This Graph API
endpoint is simply a call to:
POST /?id={object-instance-id or object-url}&scrape=true

Creating a Facebook comment box for different sites

I want to add the facebook comment box to several websites for different people. IT asks for an Appid which at first I thought meant their Facebook Business page id. Now im realizing that I need to create a Facebook App for this. My question is this, can I create one app, take the ID and use that for several different comment boxes on various sites that are not related and owned by different clients? Or should I make new Apps for each one?
Thanks
The comment boxes are separated by the URL you define in the HTML attributes, so technically you can use the same App ID for multiple clients since the pages have different URLs.
Still - I would advise you to create a new application for each client. At some point one client might ask you to give them admin access to the Facebook application - and you don't want to give one client access to the application that also serves your other clients...

MVC4 Facebook and multiple subdomains

I have currently 4 sites eventually will be closer to 100 (i'm developing a web based game) I have the main site (i.e www.domain.com) and then sub domains for each server (ie s1.domain.com s2.domain.com)
I'm used to the old membership apis which I can do this with simple forms auth and machine keys but Facebook is eluding me. I have a developers account and my app id and all that good stuff.
my goal is user hits WWW site logs in with face book pulls data from database to know which servers they have played on in past (if they have played before) then sends them to the server of choice retaining the Facebook auth. I know its possible I've seen at least one other game do it (evony) but I cannot find any information on how to implement it with mvc4.
does anyone know how to accomplish this or have links to a howto/blog/etc I've searched Google and so far all I can come up with for single-sign-on is the old ways of the membership provider.
many thanks in advance

How do I import facebook friends from the another website

I am looking for a way to connect to facebook by allowing the user to enter in their username and password and have our app connect to their account and get their contacts so that they can invite them to join their group on our site. I have written a facebook app before, but this is not an app as much as it is a connector so that they can invite all their friends or just some to the site we are working on.
I have seen several other sites do this and also connect to Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail contacts. I dont think they are using Facebook Connect to do this since it is so new, but they may be.
Any solution in any language is fine as I can port whatever example to use C#. I cannot find anything specifically on Google or Facebook to address this specific problem. Any help is appreciated.
I saw a first answer get removed that had suggested i might need to scrape the friends page. The more I look around, this might be what i need to do. Any other way i think will require the person to add it as an app. I am wondering how a answer can get removed, maybe that user deleted it.
Try This
Not sure if its possible explicitly but there are indirect ways to do it!!!
Here is another article that seems to cover what you want to do http://facebook-developer.net/2008/02/20/allow-your-users-to-invite-their-friends/
