Custom UITableViewCell does not show the labels in storyboard - iphone

In this screen shot you can see that I have added UITableView in UIViewController then customized the UITableViewCell by adding some labels in it. But the issue is when I run the application. All of the cells are empty. There are no labels at all.
I am not getting what can be the issue. I have searched the web and read tutorials but couldn't resolve it.

I resolved this issue by myself, just after little effort.
Actually when you create a custom cell you have to do these things:
Setup the labels, images etc on storyboard cell.
Create a custom cell class (inheriting from UITableViewCell)(CustomCell.h & .m), CustomCell.h having all of the properties as iboutlet for labels, images etc. and synthesize them all in implementation.
After creating this custom class go back to storyboard, select the custom cell, change its class to the CustomCell and give it some identifier like "MyCustomCell", then right click on the custom cell and connect the IBOutlets with labels etc.
Now import CustomCell class in the class where you are implementing the UITableView and use the properties you defined in CustomCell class.

I did this all and my issue was resolved and please don't forget to connect the delegates & datasource and table.
Hope this will help others.

It is little bit late but you can solve your problem by setting the background color of your view as Clear Color from your storyboard.

in the tableview's delegate method , cellforrowatindexpath has a uitableviewcell inside it , there should be an identifier in the initialization of this cell. possibly it is "cell" or "cellIdentifier" .
you just need to select your cell from storyboard and enter this identifier string to the storyboard , where uitableviewcell's attribute inspector stays.

iPhone sdk UITableView cell reuse identifier

I am using UITableView. When a book is downloaded i am adding a checkmark image to my table. And i have done this. But when am scrolling my table am getting the image even for non-downloaded books (i.e) my table cell are reused. For this i googled and checked my code with that. Everything seems to be the same. Here is my code,

If you want that a cell does not display the image then simply remove the imageview, for that cell. set a view.tag for the image view, and retrieve it, then remove it.
What you are doing now, is to add a image sub view as soon as you need it for a cell, and later reuse that cell for all other rows. But you never removed the imageview for cells that dont need it.
CheckMarks with UITableView is little complicated then what it seems. First of all you'll have to save the status of your row which already has the bookmark. And, compare it in your cellForRowAtIndexPath method. What you can do is create on NSMutableArray. Save 1 for downloaded book and 0 for non-downloaded book. In your cellForRowAtIndexPath method compare [array objectAtIndex:indexpath.row] and set the image accordingly.
Also, change :

setting UILabel.text of a custom UITableViewCell inside ViewController

I have a UITableView that I am populating with custom UITableViewCell in interface builder. I am having some issues accessing these custom tableviewcells properties and am hoping for some help.
In Interface Builder I am setting the custom tableviewcell's class to the current View controller (so I can assign all of the label objects to the correct labels in Interface Builder), So I have also set up the IBOutlet labels to the correct labels in Interface Builder However this error occurs when I try to pass the NSString from the array object variable (which is of type NSString) to the UIlabel's text.

I think you code somewhere is strange(There is no declaration for autoSearchCell), but you must do the following.

The above code does not work, should following code.

dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier not returning cell of my custom type

I am using ios5 storyboards with a UITableViewController with a UITableViewCell subclass. I do not want to design the visual elements of the cell in the storyboard designer for the view, because I want to use a reusable subclass of UITableViewCell (specifically TDBadgedCell).
I have set my cell identifier in the storyboard designer, and all of the rows load correctly in the UITableView as long as I'm not setting any of the properties unique to TDBadgedCell. If I set the badgeString property though which is unique to TDBadgedCell, I get an exception. I narrowed down that dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier: is not returning a cell of type TDBadgedCell.
I'm only running into this with a UITableViewController. I have a UIViewController with an embedded UITableView set up in the same fashion and it's not an issue. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue in that I am subclassing UITableViewCell but not using storyboard. Here is my solution to using different cell classes dependent on if the user had purchase the unlock feature of the app. Hope it helps someone.
In a nutshell, I had the cell with several objects including a UITextView object. I wanted to lock down the copy and paste feature of the UITextView object in the lite version but then release the feature once the user had purchased in in-app product.
I had two UITableViewCell classes, one with UITextView as it is and another with UITextView subclassed with canBecomeFirstresponder returning NO. That way the user could still scroll up and down the UITextview data but not copy and paste the data.
Here is the code and all I had to do was rename the reuse identifiers.
WHY? Because [self.tableview reloadData] would not rebuild the cells with the new class as the cell was still in existence. New cells off the screen would get the new class but existing ones would not. This solution rebuilds all cells once off after the purchase unlocking the added feature.

In storyboard,you can set the Custom Class property for a subclass of UITablviewCell.
Then dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier method will return cell with the type of your subclass.
I think you are using wrong method for dequeuing the cells.

How to place a Rounded Rect UIBUTTON on UITableViewCell programmatically

I was trying to place two uibuttons on uitableviewcell programmatically.. but unable to achieve that>. somehow i managed to get the buttons through some sample project in which u can draw a nib for cell.. but i was unable to set a selector function for buttons.. in other example i can place a uiinfodark type button but when i change the type to rounded rect the button gets disappeared and i am unable to figure out why? I might be doing some silly mistake but I am really kinda stuck with it right now so I'll be very much thankful to all of you for helping in this regard.

I think the correct way of doing this is UICollectionView. Started with UITableView and finally failed at some point due to unexpected behavior while trying to implement scrolling both left-right and up-down.

when you define the cell in IB give each label a tag, so when you need to put a text there you can retrieve it by tag like this:

and repeat this with other 2 labels. The tag is a unique number.

I have created UIGridView. I believe your problem can be solved using the same technique.
