UI Navigation Controller Showing Null for switching to detail view - iphone

I have a tab based application. On the first tab I have several views one of which is a navigation controller. My goal is to load this list view(working) then goto a detailview on the cell click(not working).
On the cell click I am logging

which is returning a null. I can only assume that I have not done something right with setting up the navigation controller but I do not know what.

You omitted the part where the navigationController is allocated and initialized. Can you add that, including the relevant part from the .h file too?

Hovering UITableViewController over a UIViewController on iPhone not displaying cell content (e.g. FB notification view)

I am trying to create a hovering UITableViewController over a UIViewController. I have managed to open the TableView over the ViewController. (Picture)
When first loading the view the data is loaded and I can see the rows for split second, but then it disappears. I understand that I must be assigning something over the actual view in the memory. However I can't fins what I am doing wrong.

It looks like notifView is released when its scope ends. But its view is added as a subview, this may explain why it is seen for a while. The solution is to extend the scope of notifView, try making it a property of the controller which adds notifView's view as a subview.

Making rounded corners for the first and last cell of UITableView

I would like to make rounded corners for the first and last cell of UITableView. I have seen from this postCustom Rounded corners that you can use custom cells in a xib file, set their unique identifiers like: #"beginCell", #"middleCell", #"endCell". I do not want to use custom cells. Is there any other way to do this?
For example:

Something like this. But there is no property called count. Is there any other property?

Just change your UITableView initialization style to Grouped like that:
yourTableViewController = [[UITableViewController alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewStyleGrouped];
This will make your first cell rounded from top and last cell rounded from bottom.

I used instruments to detect memory leak for this, when I scrolled the UITableView, memory
leak occurred.
I use Xcode 4.3.1 and iOS5.1 (iPod touch4).
Someone had this problem?
If you look at the 'responsible library' column, you can see that the culprit is not your code. The leaks are small, you can safely ignore them.

Pushing new detail view for each object

please help .... i have a tableview with a list of vehicle
what i want is each of those vehicles to push a view with a text/paragraph describing each of those vehicles. I am new to coding so please try to keep your answers simple

Data not shown in UITableView below button

If i uncomment line "self.view = myTableView;" i get tableview with data but label and button above it disappear (tableview is fullscreen).
What am i doing wrong here?

I believe that you can do like

[self.view sendSubviewToBack:myTableView].
