This StatusCode comes from the server.
Maybe you can capture this behavior on Wireshark to ensure you're really using the same OpcUaClient instance you think you are and not one that has had its session timeout somehow. Or maybe the capture will show the server is at fault and returning this StatusCode when you read on a freshly created Session.
I am connecting to a postgreSQL database with java.
The user inputs a username and a password in the command line and then I test the connection. I have put a try-catch block around it, but it still prints an error message when the connection fails. I don't want the user to see this message, I just want to handle the error myself, as can usually be achieved by a try-catch construct. However, in this particular case the message gets printed anyway. How can I suppress the message here?

PS: Just for clarification, the connection works and no error message is printed if username and password are correct. So the issue is not getting rid of the error, just of the message.
Thanks to the link JB Nizet provided, I could find that I can append "?loggerLevel=OFF" to the first parameter in DriverManager.getConnection(). That way the message does not get printed.

While trying to ftp (with implicit ssl) a file to a server, I consistently get a 'Connection Reset By Peer: Socket Write Error' or abnormally a 'Connection Aborted By Software' error. The file is uploaded to the server, but is completely empty. However, after setting up a local test ftp server, I upload files to that server with no issue. Could these errors be cause by some type of firewall? If not, is there another issue. If it is, can anything in the code be changed to fix it?

I've got problem with RMI comunication between 2 machines (win 7 and win xp VM). The exception with I have problem is:

It's really weired because during connection I use address 192.168.1.4 (server), but exception somehow show sth different. I disabled firewall on both side. Ping working to both side. I tried telnet to server and use server port:
telnet 192.168.1.4 1099 and it's working... I can't figure out where the problem is.
If I run this on host side (eg server side) everything works fine.

This connection is working fine if I run client on host side. If I use VM and try connect between 2 different machines, I can;t figure out what did I do bad
There is something wrong with your etc/hosts file or your DNS setup. It is providing the wrong IP address to the server as the server's external IP address, so RMI embeds the wrong address into the stub, so the client attempts to connect to the wrong IP address.
If you can't fix that, you can set the system property java.rmi.server.hostname to the correct IP address at the server JVM, before exporting any RMI objects (including Registries). That tells RMI to embed that address in the stub.
