addToFolder(): The copy version of the file is deleted, if the original version is deleted - copy

I started doing development with google scripts few days ago and recently joined stackoverflow. I have a problem with addToFolder() function. I have the following piece of code that copies my new spreadsheet into a folder (test/sheets) in my Google Drive:

DocsList.getFileById(ssID).addToFolder(DocsList.getFolder("test/sheets"));
My problem is that now I have 2 versions of the same file (one in the root of my Google Drive folder and the other in test/sheets folder), whenever I try to delete either of the copies, the other copy is deleted as well. Is there a way to delete the old file and keep the new one OR is there a way to create the file in the desired folder in first place?

thanks for you quick response. I played with this for couple of hours but still have problem copying the file to the destination folder. The problem is that even when I use makeCopy Method of the file, still addToFolder is the only option to mention the folder. Again this ends up having the tagged filename in the destination folder.

Folders in Google Docs\Google Drive are actually tags. When you "add" a file to the folder "test/sheets", you do not make a copy of your file, you just attach the tag "test/sheets" to it. Now the same file is shown both in the "test/sheets" folder (i.e. in the list of all files with the tag "test/sheets") and in the root. If you wish to make a copy of the file, you should use the copy method. (Please let me know if I just misunderstand your question.)

I realize this is an old questions but you can simply use .removeFromFolder(DocsList.getRootFolder()); to remove the file from the root folder.

I would also like to know the answer to this question.. seems rather "weird" that the API does not even provide a way to create spreadsheets and place them in a certain map? And no, I do not want a Copy of the file, I want the file to be in a specific map and in no other map...

How can I manually edit the list of recently opened files in VS Code?

I rely heavily on the File: Open Recent… command to open frequently used files, but yesterday my local Google Drive folder got moved to a new location and now I can no longer access any of the files in that folder through the Open Recent panel because the paths don't match.
The fix would be as simple as replacing "/Google Drive/" with "/Google Drive/My Drive/" but I have no idea what file contains the list of files that appears in the recently opened panel.
I'm assuming it's somewhere in ~/Library/Application Support/Code but not sure where.
I was wondering the same thing the other day and found this while searching for a solution, so I took some time to investigate it today.
It's been a a few weeks since you posted, so hopefully this will still be of help to you.
Also, I'm using Windows and I'm not familiar with macOS, but I think it should be easy enough adjust the solution.
Location of settings
Those setting are stored in the following file: %APPDATA%\Code\User\globalStorage\state.vscdb.
The file is an sqlite3 database, which is used as a key-value store.
It has a single table named ItemTable and the relevant key is history.recentlyOpenedPathsList.
The value has the following structure:

Modifying the settings
Specifically, I was interested in changing the way it's displayed (the label), so I'll detail how I did that, but it should be just as easy to update the path.

The File->Open Recent uses those values as-is (see here).
However when using the Get Started page, the Recents area is populated here. In the Get Started, the label is presented in a slightly different way:

The folder name is the link, and the parent folder is the the text beside it.
This is done by the splitName method.
Notes
Before messing around with the settings file, it would be wise to back it up.
I'm not sure how vscode handles and caches the settings, so I think it's best to close all vscode instances before making any changes.
I haven't played around with it too much, so not sure how characters that need to be json-encoded or html-encoded will play out.
Keep in mind that there might be some state saved by other extensions, so if anything weird happens, blame it on that.

Azure Factory v2 Wildcard

I am trying to create a new dataset in ADF that looks for csv files that meet a certain naming convention. These files are located within a series of different folders in my Azure Blob Storage.
For instance, in the sample directory below, I am trying to pull out csv files that contain the word "cars".
Folder A
fastcars.csv
fasttrucks.csv
Folder B
slowcars.csv
slowtrucks.csv
Ideally , I would end up with the files "slowcars.csv" and "fastcars.csv". I've seen examples out there were people were able to wildcard the file name. I have been playing around with that, but have had no luck. (See image below for one example of what I have been doing).
Is what I am trying to do even possible? Would appreciate any advice you guys may have. Please let me know if I can provide further clarification.
According to the description of filename in this documentation,
The file name under the given fileSystem + folderPath. If you want to
use a wildcard to filter files, skip this setting and specify it in
activity source settings.
so you need to specify it in activity not in file path.

Swift 3 - Bundle.main.path with same file name in different directories

Long story short, I have two settings files that must have the same name. They're currently in separate folders, something like:
Resources/brand/dev/settings.file
Resources/brand/prod/settings.file
However I can't seem to get Swift to grab the file out, it always comes up as nil

If I remove one of the files, and the inDirectory parameter everything works fine.
File target membership, project build phases all look OK.
Am I missing something here?

How can I rename file uploaded to s3 using javascript api?

'pickAndStore' method allows me to specify full path to the file, but I don't know it's extension at this point (file path has to be defined before file is uploaded, so it's not possible to provide a path with correct extension).
if I use 'pick' and then 'store' I have 2 files (because both methods uploads file to the s3). I can delete 'old' file, but it's not optimal and can be pain (take ages) with really big files.
Is there any better solution? Ideally to rename existing file.
Currently, there is no workaround for renaming file.
However, in our Javascript API v2 we are planing to add new callback function. onStart callback will be fired after user pick file but before file uploading. There could be option like renaming file based on original filename.
We will keep you updated.

How to resolve Unable to find file.cpp in path(s) in Marmalade?

I'm just trying to begin develop a game in Marmalade (6.3). But when I have made my new sources (.cpp, and .h) and added them to the mkb, and then trying to run my program, then I got an error which says that Unable to find file.cpp in path(s). It's for all of my files except the files (game.h, game.cpp, main.cpp) which were made by Marmalade when I have chosen the new 2D game project. Should I add my .cpp and .h files to anywhere else?

It is difficult to give a categorical answer without more info. However my guess is that you've copied and pasted from an example and not understood about the syntax of the files section. Basically:
files

The "(foo)" might look very innocent, but it actually says that humbug.cpp is actually in directory foo - relative to the mkb file. It is common practice to actually use "(source)" and put all the source files in a directory of that name - making the source layout a bit neater.
Naturally if you have (source) and don't put the files actually in directory source, they won't be found. My guess is that is what you are seeing.
Just to clarify previous answer, The format of files directive is like this -
