not able find location on iPhone device - iphone

I have added code for finding location, this is working on simulator but it is not working on iPhone device. I have enabled the location services but still it is not working.

when location is updated this function will get called.

How to call a service in the - (void)locationManager:(CLLocationManager *)manager didUpdateToLocation only once?:

I had an application in which i need to call a service whenever the specified location change occurs.I had initiating the location controller in my delegate class, like this
locationController = [[UILocation alloc] init];

locationController.locationManager.desiredAccuracy = kCLLocationAccuracyBest;
locationController.locationManager.distanceFilter = 1000.0;
[locationController.locationManager startUpdatingLocation];
But as everybody knows Accuracybest will call the didupdate methode multiple times in an inconsistent manner. so how can i call my service from the delegate methode only once?Can anybody point me how to achieve this?

CLLocation Manager not updating new location

I am calling CLLocationManager and it's calling its delegate method as well. But my problem is, isn't updating its New Location after traveling 1 km.
Here's my code:

You should be calling startUpdatingLocation or startMonitoringSignificantLocationChanges on the location manager for it to start checking for location changes and calling your delegate methods.
locationManager:didUpdateToLocation:fromLocation: is deprecated so you can expect it not to always be used.
If locationManager:didUpdateLocations: is being called then you are receiving location updates.

The second one is deprecated since iOS 6 and was used prior to iOS 6. You can use both methods, depending on the system version on the device your app is running at, by adding a helper method.

If you are using CLLocationmanager, make sure you check to see if location Service is enabled first. I would do this to get the current location:

Two issues:
1) You are doing a NSNumber box/unbox cycle that has no use whatsoever
2) Core Location is asynchronous, therefore you cannot return the user's location straight away, you must use the delegate method(s) to retrieve the location if/when it is available.

The fourth line of your code is where the problem begins. You cannot get the location instantly, you will need to wait until the location services notify the delegate that a location is available. I will add some comments to your code to explain:

Since you set the delegate as "self", the current class but implement the "CLLocationManagerDelegate" protocol, which defines the following two functions:

- (void)locationManager:(CLLocationManager *)manager didFailWithError:(NSError *)error { /* */ }
That is where you will get a location provided to you.
Dont forget to update your class definition like so:

And as a side note, it seems like you do not fully understand delegates and the purpose that they serve, which is fine if you are new to Objective-C, but getting more familiar with them will certainly make your life a bit easier.

The didUpdateToLocation will be called when an location changes.
I guess you are testing it in simulator and on simulator no change occurs in location so the method don't called.
Suggesstion You should implement other delegate methods to check whats happening; in case if there is some error. For example: locationManager:didFailWithError:
