how to show the annotation from table view to map view? - iphone

I have one tableview with names in each row and having different images for each title. I need to pass these titles onto mapview as a annotation contains title names as title for annotation.

But in my mapview I'm not getting the exact image annotation as in table view, I'm getting random images as annotation from table view, but the title name appears same as I wanted.

in first screen first rows contains blue image on left side of each row I am trying to show the same in map view but in my map view the blue annotation shows the grey image titles.
does anyone have any idea how this can be done. Any tutorials or sample code?

How to set checkbox image while selecting table view section?

I'm working on a project and i stuck at a point. My project has a Table View with some data after clicking on the cell table view will expended into sections. Every thing is fine except one thing i.e i want to set a checkbox image (when the user clicked on a cell).
when i tap on the cell it gives the cell title text but i am not able to set the checkbox image (like UITableViewCellAccessoryCheckmark)on particular cell section.

Here is the explanation of what was going on. There were actually a couple of problems:
First, you were mixing accessoryType and accessoryView; this was causing an
incorrect execution of the if-else clause. Here is the old code

You have the right idea of how to do this, however, you're setting the checkmark in the wrong place. You should use the method -(void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath to store (remember) which cell was selected and NOT to set the accessory type.
If only one cell can be selected at a time you can declare aNSIndexPath property to remember the cell that was selected. However, if multiple cells can be selected at a time you can declare a NSMutableArray where you can store all the cells that have been selected.
Then you should use the method -(UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath to set the checkmark to the cells that were selected.
Here is an example (I'm assuming multiple cells can be selected):
In your *.h file declare a NSMutableArray property
#property (nonatomic, strong) NSMutableArray *selectedCells;
In your *.m file, inside your init method initialize the property:
_selectedCells = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init];
Then, in the didSelectRowAtIndexPath... method:

I think a cleaner approach would be to use a container view with two different kind of cells and then selectively show/hide the view relevant for that cell. This would be easier to code and maintain but might consume a little more memory.

Reverse array content?

I am populating a table view with information, but would like it to be populated in reverse, so that any newly added cells (new email messages) would appear on the top, not the bottom.

You are pulling from NSArray Index [indexPath row] meaning you are starting at index 0 and going to n. Which means you are not in reverse order. You need to reverse your array first. A simple way would be:

NSArray* reversedMessages = [[allMessages reverseObjectEnumerator] allObjects];

Then in your cellForRowAtIndexPath method you can do:

UITextView Auto Complete text not i order

I have a UITextView which is connected to UITableView for Autocompletion.
The problem is the table display is not properly formatted, i have following problems with this:
the details are not in order(ex: if i press a it is not displaying words starts with a first, it display as it likes).
i have three kind of words in my txt file(like Apple, A pple, A.pple);
in my table it display only A pple and A.pple but not Apple if i start search with letter 'Ap' even it displays A pple till i write 'A P' then it stops displaying the words.
Can any one let me know what to do that?

follow this code.. U have done all correctly but searching the element is the problem. U have written the code. if your checking length alone. if its not null it will show data. but u have to compare the first letter with element array. so that it works fine.

resignFirstResponder

I have a little problem resigning the keyboard. I have a table with two sections. In the second section, I load the class stationenStartCellNumber which has a UITextField.
When I press anywhere outside of the UITextField, I want the keyboard to resign as first responder, and thereby closing the keyboard. It works perfectly inside of my cell, but not on my UITableView.

Offcourse, the touchesBegan code does not work on a tableView because that one takes over. How can I resign the keyboard?
you can subclass UITableView and use it instead of standard UITableView. Why? Because You will be able to do smth like this

this method will be called each time you touch your table. so you will be able to resign your textField as firstResponder inside this method.
You can create an invisible UIButton with an action to resign the keyboard.
Also, you will want to make sure to scroll your table view so that the keyboard does not cover your text field.
