Add selector to button on UIScrollView views added dynamically - iphone

I have an UIScrollView with n views added dynamically from metadata stored by archiving. I have a PressGesture to make wobble animation (like iOS deleting apps way) and i want to add a button to every subview on the ScrollView for deleting it from the ScrollView and from files.
My problem is for adding the target to the buttons. When they are pressed, the selector (on the UIViewController parent of the UIScrollView) are not called.
How can I get this done? Any other approach is suggested?

When you animate the view it stops responding to user input. And if your button is located inside animated view, it will definitely not call the selector.
The solution would be to wrap your wobbling view into a transparent superview and then place Delete button inside that superview. If you need your button to be also "wobbling" then you need to put an image that represents button inside your wobbling view. And inside wrapper put a transparent Custom button, that will in fact react on user tap.

I have a scroll view which contains different ui components such as text fields, labels etc.
The scroll view takes almost the full size of the screen. Logically separated, I want to add/display a button which is not a part of the content of the scroll view.
This leads to the problem that my button doesn't react on my touches. In case, I reduce the size of the scroll view so that the frames don't interfere with the ones from the button, everything works as expected.
I tried to bring the button to the front (view.bringSubviewToFront(infoButton)) but it still doesn't work.

add your scroll view to view and add other elements to scroll view:
view.addSubview(yourScrollView)
yourScrollView.addSubview(yourButton)
yourScrollView.addSubview(yourLabel)
after you finished adding scrollView's sub views it's time to add your button to -> View (not scroll view)
and everything should work fine as you expected
Issue is solved!
It is a matter of how you ad your sub views to the main view. In my case, I added the info button first to the main view followed by adding the scroll view to the main view.
You need to change the order. First you add the scroll view to the main view and then the button.

How do I tell the difference between the user tapping my table view cell and the user tapping a subview contained within the cell?

One of my view controllers contains a UITableView with custom UITableViewCell's. My custom UITableView cell contains a UIImageView subview that represents a tappable icon. When the user taps anywhere on the custom cell, except the icon subview, I want my didSelectRowAtIndexPath method to be called like normal. But when my icon subview gets tapped, I want a different method to get called, but I can't figure out how to do this. Do I have capture the touch position in the touchesDidBegin method and manually check if the user tapped the icon? That just feels so hacky. Other, cleaner ideas?

iPhone4 how to add/animate a UIView to appear under a UIButton?

I have a "side panel" like widget in my app that can be swiped in from the side of the screen. In order to help the users find the panel, I also added a UIButton to do the same thing - scroll the panel on and off screen.
The view comes from a different view controller, otherwise I would've simply created an extra panel in the interface builder and positioned it properly.
My problem is that the side panel gets positioned over the button, so if it is displayed with a button, it can only be dismissed with a gesture.
is it possible to specify at which "depth" I add a UIView when I programmatically add it in code?
This is the snipped that slides the panel in or out within the animation block.

I need the UIView to be shown below a UIButton, so the button may be used to dismiss the view. I know this is redundant, but I cannot depend on the users to simply discover the side swiping gestures :/

Canceling the scrolling animation when keyboard pops up on iphone

I have a UIViewController that contains UITextField. I set the inputAccessory of the textfield to a UIToolbar that I create.
My ViewController's view is inside a UIScrollView (To handle the events of keyboard popping up)
Before:
Now, when the keyboard pops up, suddenly my ScrollView is setting it's contentOffset.y to 64 with animation, so part of my view is pushed above the top of the screen:

This is done by the framework because I'm using a toolbar for inputAccessoryView.
If i'm dropping the toolbar there is no animation and no content offset.
Is anyone knows how can I disable this automatic animation and scrolling?

You can use a combination of boolean flags and your UIScrollViewDelegate to prevent the scrolling from taking place. Scroll view delegates can be used to detect when scrolling is taking place, modify the type of scrolling, and also simply prevent it from happening, so your best approach is probably to look into detecting when the keyboard goes up (via a notification or text field delegate, whichever is more appropriate) and using that in combination with your scroll view delegate.

determine if uiview is displayed

is there a possibility to determine if an uiview obj is going to be displayed. imagine: you have 2 uiviews in an uiscrollview. now you are going to switch per gesture from the first view to the second. the first view now is NOT in the viewport. now you are going to go back to the first view. and now I want to be notified that this view is in viewport, or is redisplayed. the same has to be for the second view. I have not found any callback or something like this.
You make sure your UiViewController overrides viewWillAppear: (before it appears this method is called) or viewDidAppear: (after this method is called).

That depends what you mean by "switch". If one view is just scrolled out of the visible area of the scrollview, but still remains attached as a subview to it, then you may want to check if the bounds of your view overlap those of the scrollviews visible area.
You could do this by using UIScrollView Delegate's scrollViewDidScroll: method to implement a check for overlaps while the user is scrolling.
If however your view is actually removed from the viewstack, then you may want to subclass UIView and implement willMoveToSuperview: to check if the view has been added to the scrollview again.
