Are Google TV applications always shown in full screen mood? - google-tv

I am doing some compareson between Smart TV platforms way to develop applications and I wonder if Google TV applications only are available in "Full screen" mode? In other words taking up the whole screen.
Samsung Smart TV have three different application layouts available, see link: http://www.samsungdforum.com/upload_files/files/guide/data/html/html_2/getting_started/intro_to_samsung_smarttv_apps.html
Full screen, Single-wide application and ticker. This specifyes how much space the application takes up on the screen so the user can for example watch tv while using the application, because the application only takes up a part of the screen.
I found this FAQ:
Can I use picture-in-picture (PIP) in my Google TV Android application?
No. The picture-in-picture (PIP) feature is only available for live TV. You can't use it in your Android application, nor can you run an Android application in the PIP window.
From that answer I want to say that Google TV applications can only be used in full screen mode. Am I right?
Thanks for helping

Yes they can only be run in fullscreen mode. That is to say only one app can have focus at a particular time. You can however make your app transparent for the most part to allow whatever is underneath it to show through. This post has a good solution Full screen transparent activity (no title & status bar) doesn't work.... why?

Flutter Web App Weird Beahvior in Desktop View on Mobile Phone

I am making a website with flutter
codingfries.com
Can someone check what the hell is happening when I click on Desktop View on chrome browser in mobile phone. The website starts to behave weirdly.
This is supposed to happen as the layout changes. Width of screen changes when you emulate Desktop view on mobile phone. For handling such cases, flutter has media queries which can be used to change layouts based on screen size changes.
For more info refer the official documentation.

AOSP difference between multi-window and multi-display

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between multi-window and and multi-display in the AOSP environment.
multi-window
devices can display multiple apps simultaneously using multi-window. Android supports three multi-window configurations:
Split-screen is the default multi-window implementation, which provides two activity panes where users can place apps.
Freeform allows users to dynamically resize the activity panes and have more than two apps visible on their screen.
Picture-in-picture (PIP) allows Android devices to play video content in a small window while the user interacts with other apps.

multi-display
Devices can now have multiple physical displays and inputs. Example: Two people can use the same Android device via two different displays at the same time. This is a new feature to Android Q and comes with a ton of limitations so far.

Why iPhone emulators display web page differently than real iPhone?

There's a web page at http://examinemysite.com/foodRating. The webpage shows properly in two iPhone emulators as shown below. However testing using a real iPhone and a real WP7 phone, the size of the text and the stars are a lot smaller. Why are the physical devices not showing the same page like the emulators (same size text, stars and spacing)? The emulators are running under Windows 7.
IBBDEMO:
MITE:
You're using tools that simply try to display what they think would be displayed by MobileSafari. IBBDEMO is, if I'm not mistaken, an Adobe Air application. I'm not sure about MITE, but I don't think it has any special knowledge of MobileSafari either. These tools seem like nothing more than web browsers that display in a small 320x480 window with an iPhone image wrapped around the display area. It would be fairly astonishing if they did a perfect job of simulating MobileSafari.

Possibilities on Google TV emulator

Iam an android developer and wanted to know if someone has already started developing android apps for Google TV on its emulator.
I have read the google's documents on Google TV and I have few of my thoughts revolving around my way . I wanna know which all capabilities does the Google Tv SDK gives us while working with Google TV emulator..
Does Live TV uses Activity or Fragments on top of which the content(TV SHOWS) is displayed ?
Can we control the Live TV feature provided by Google by customizing the Views of Live TV like placing a widget which shows the newly released movies on a timely basis?
Is Live TV only a native app provided by Google and doesn't offer any flexibility wherein we can replace the Live TV app by writing our own app which shows the same content(TV SHOWS) offered by Live TV ? (as we can modify default contacts app in our android mobile devices)
Please address my confusions !!
There is no official way to have live tv participate with your apps.
You can change the channel of the TV using an intent from your app. (And find out about channels using the channel listing content provider.)
There is no supported way to do this.
You can not make any changes in with live tv thought apps. You can only change the programs not everything. If you Google want to change then they do it, because they have all rights of content. Now all the process are digitilaized. Why Google can made changes in it? Reason Firstly they will receive all the programs by channels after that they will upload on own server. After that send the signals to satellites and satellite send these signals to the users.

Implementing "Add to Home Screen", ala Safari

Safari on iPhone has a feature that lets you create a shortcut on your home screen for a web page. Is it possible for other apps to implement similar functionality? I'd like to give my users a quick way to jump to a specific item in my iPhone application.
There is no officially sanctioned way to do this. Third-party apps on the iPhone have very limited scope for interaction with other parts of the system. They can look into the address book and the photo library and they can invoke other applications with certain arguments but they can't do anything with the home screen.
Not sure.. but there is application like 'One Tap Dial' that is doing it tho
I spent few hours to find ways to this - seems only safari has this capability
'One Tap Dial' eventually uses Safari to get this done
