Rest Console for Chrome won't let me input any info - rest

I installed the Rest Console extension onto Chrome. I can't use this Rest Console for anything, because the only fields that accept text are 'Request URL' and 'Request Method'.
I ask here as there is no resources or community accessible for even simple instructions on how this extension works, and there are likely members of this community who have used this extension.

Use the Postman - REST Client it works perfectly!
your_url_to_post: Fill the URL
your_json_param: The name of the param that you'll pass you json
your_json_data: The json content
Don't forget to select x-www-form-urlencoded if you'll do a post

You should be able to enter text in the other field if you tick the checkbox associated to the field first.

I started having a similar issue myself (Forms wouldnt let me input data I could click them but thats as far as it went) across a lot of web pages to include my own php game and I know the form code hasnt changed at all before this issue started. I came across a article of someone else having a similar issue themselves that I was having and someone said that they needed position: relative on their forms that are not given specific instructions on positioning when dealing with google chrome. I have since made this change myself at www.immoralattack.com and the issue has stopped on that site but still continues on many others so its pretty safe to say that is the issue.
Its only happening on the dev build of chrome for me atleast and I hope this isnt something they plan on implementing on live or this will mess up alot of websites.
Also try turning off auto fill from chrome if its on, while I was looking for this bug I found alot of similar bugs but they delt with auto fill being on.

CAS 5.3 login screen modification with extra field

I am working on apereo CAS 5.3.x, and in my application Login operation expects 3 data elements - username, password and a group code.
I need to add group code combo box. this combo box will get data from the database and at the time of submission need to submit the selected data from combo box also.
I have tried the code from this URL https://apereo.github.io/2019/02/25/cas61-custom-login-fields/ also.
but it is not working.
can anyone help me on this issue?
I have tried the code from this URL https://apereo.github.io/2019/02/25/cas61-custom-login-fields/ also. but it is not working.
The reason it may not be working is that the document quite early on states the following:
Our starting position is based on:
CAS 6.1.x
That doesn't seem like it would match your CAS version, which as you state is 5.3.x.
So for that article to work, you need to be on the appropriate CAS version, and then try it out.
PS When you do, avoid phrases such as "it's not working". "It doesn't work" doesn't work. Please clearly state the problem, the issue, attach logs, describe versions, changes made, etc. This post might share a few points on how to troubleshoot and share results.

TYPO3 and Router ExtDirect Invalid security token

I know there is several posts on the Internet about this. But none of them solves my problem.
I use FireFox when working in TYPO3 Backend and I never see the pink boxes, but my customer uses Internet Explorer and right now she can't work in TYPO3 because of the small pink boxes saying
Router
ExtDirect: Invalid Security token
What triggers these errors and what can I do about it?
At the bootom of http://wiki.typo3.org/ExtDirect it says something about a small change that fixes it, but where should I change these lines?
I hope that someone can help me.
You need to add the $pageRenderer->addExtDirectCode(); in your backend module, assuming that the passed instance of the page renderer is inside the $pageRenderer variable.
This makes sure that the required code for the ExtDirect call is added.
Your customer should get a bunch of JavaScript errors too.

Facebook struggles to scrape one domain

I have already checked out this question, and it sounds like he's describing the same exact problem as me except for a few things:
I'm not running on https
80% of the time I try to debug, I get this message " Error parsing input URL, no data was scraped."
The scraper works perfectly on a different domain, but same server, same theme with almost identical content. Every time I try a domain it scrapes it perfectly including the image
During the 20% that it actually scrapes my page, I am having the same issue in the above link. It is reading my thumbnail, yet showing a blank image. The link brings me to a working image but it doesn't want to show anything.
The weird part is it worked completely fine about 10 months ago when I updated this blog on a daily basis. The only difference is I've switched servers recently. While that would explain a possibility, the other domain switched as well and doesn't have this problem.
I am at a loss why my links either show no image at all in facebook or give me the:
Domain Link
Domain
(no image, no description)
Very frustrating situation. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Update:
I have 6 domains...
When I moved servers recently, I found the new server wasn't prepared to compress the pages, so my blog posts looked crazy. This forced me to turn compression 'off' on WP Super Cache on my main blog. I also did it to my 2nd highest traffic blog figuring I'd get to the other 4 later.
Well, now those first two blogs appear to work fine in the facebook debugger, but the remaining 4 have troubles. The tricky part is, I completely removed WP Super Cache from one site and still had trouble fetching the data.
So while it seems logically it should have been a WP Super Cache issue, continuing to have errors despite removing it leads me to believe now? I'm still so baffled.
Update:
Ok, I loaded Chrome and IE, and both were able to pull the data with ease. The google snippet tool also worked great. I am going to try posting a link to my facebook fan page via chrome and see if it works correctly.
I did clear my FF cache and it didn't change, but I am still confused why one domain works ok while the other does not. Either way, if adding in Chrome works, I'll stick with that for now.
Any other suggestions?
Cache should not make any problem. If a browser can see your page, so can facebook debugger.
See if some 500 error is there. Try from different browser, clearing the browser cache etc. Try google rich snippet and see if a custom search engine is scrapping it fine.
PS: It will be nicer if you post url.

DropDownList postback never finishes on iPad

I've seen several posts about DropDownLists getting cleared, or events not getting fired, but they don't seem to match this situation.
I've got (well I've reduced the problem to) a very simple asp.net website, a master page with a content page. The content page has a single DropDownList with AutoPostback set to True. The code behind updates a Label with the list's selected value. Not using UpdatePanel or AJAX (though I tried using them and I get exactly the same results). It's an intranet site using Windows authentication.
It works fine on IE and Chrome, but every time I try it on my iPad it just sits and spins. The postback appears to be happening, but either nothing's coming back (or being accepted) from the server, or the client just doesn't know how to finish things up, or I don't know what.
Sorry if this seems vague but I've spent two hours on Google and haven't come up with anything other than the fact that a simple page like this should work fine on an iPad, so I'm a little punchy.
Anybody got any pointers or ideas?
EDIT: Running this page through the remote web access portal my company uses, it works fine. So this may be an authentication problem between the iPad and IIS.
Not sure I have an answer but do you have the issue if you remove the DropDownList? If you need to build the list based on data maybe you could use a asp:repeater and build a html select list.

Wordpress/Facebook Comments are displayed overlayed on Wordpress blog

I need help with a problem I'm facing, basically I'm utilizing the new "Facebook Comment Box" feature and the issue is it is overlaying with standard Wordpress comments. It is best described by showing you the following screenshot:
Because I'm new here I couldn't post a screenshot because I don't have enough rep so a link to the screenshot of the problem is here - http://www.wdbc.org.au/comment_screenshot.jpg
The true URL for the above screenshot is here
So I did some investigating around, I couldn't find anyone else who came across this problem, but I also found that it is a combination of factors which makes encountering it more rare. Below are some specifics on what I'm using, and factors I believe are contributing to this problem:
Wordpress 3.1
Wordpress Theme Genesis1.5
Wordpress Plugin Facebook Comments for WordPress 3.1
Wordpress Plugin The Events Calendar 1.6.5
Google Chrome Browser 10.0.648.204
Some important notes on this problem:
It does not happen for the same URL in Explorer or Firefox, only in Chrome
It only happens in Wordpress posts tagged as Events so the events calendar plugin is definitely part of the issue here (for example I don't see the overlap issue on a non-event post which does not utilize the Events Calendar plugin)
My thoughts:
The plugin "The Events Calendar" has something to do with this. The plugin adds some information at the top of the post such as Date, Address, Cost, etc, and the height this information takes up seems to be about exactly the height the wordpress comment is encroaching on the space of the facebook comment section.
I don't have enough Wordpress expertise to dig deeper in to this and determine what is wrong with either the Events plugin or the Chrome browser and I'm not really sure where to start. I would really appreciate if anyone can help provide some tips or guidance on how I could progress with this issue. If you need any further details just ask and I would be happy to share, thank you.
Edit: Same problem observed in Safari (on iPhone) so impacts Chrome/Safari not Firefox/Explorer.
Edit2: On further testing it looks like this is only impacting retrospectively. I created a new Event post and it works fine, but older Event posts are affected. I guess this makes the issue not as impacting as I first thought so I might be able to live with this.
It might have something to do with the like button. I use a plugin for wordpress that also includes the like button. I chose to hide it, and all is good. I will enable the like button using another plugin.
