Google Plugin url for Eclipse (Juno) is not valid? - google-plugin-eclipse

I am trying to install the Google Plugin for Eclipse from this url
http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2
and I get this error message
Communication with repository at http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2 failed.
Read timed out

It seems that the firewall or virus protection is blocking the download of .jar files. In anycase the workaround for me was to do a local update of the site using the instructions from here
https://developers.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-from-zip
Make sure to check off the "Contact update site" in the "Install new software" dialog box or else it'll timeout again.

AWS Toolkit for Eclipse Luna 4.4.1 does not install

I have Eclipse Luna 4.4.1. While trying to install AWS Toolkit from the url, http://aws.amazon.com/eclipse or from Eclipse marketplace url https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/aws-toolkit-eclipse#group-external-install-button (using drag and drop button), following error happens,
Unable to read repository at http://aws.amazon.com/eclipse/site.xml/content.xml.
Unable to read repository at http://aws.amazon.com/eclipse/site.xml/content.xml.
peer not authenticated
Sometimes it lists down the components available for install but everytime it fails with above error. One thing I noticed is content.xml urls does not seem to be valid or are being interpreted as a invalid URL.
Request help.
Regards
An incorrect URL is specified for the Eclipse Marketplace item AWS Toolkit for Eclipse (the URL should not end with site.xml).
Instead of using drag and drop, you have to use Help > Install with the correct URL http://aws.amazon.com/eclipse/

Unable to install pydev

I am trying to install pydev through update site and eclipse marketplace but that's impossible.
When trying to install I receive the following message:
Unable to read repository at https://dl.bintray.com/fabioz/pydev/latest/content.xml.
Looks like this file does not exist anymore on the repository.
Did somebody found a solution about that ?
Regards
I've run into the same issue. I found out that the link at the PyDev site http://www.pydev.org/updates is redirecting to https://dl.bintray.com/fabioz/pydev/6.4.1. Using this link doesn't work for me, in Eclipse 4.7.3a.
However, changing this link to http://dl.bintray.com/fabioz/pydev/6.4.1 solves my problems. Apparently, there is an issue with the SSL redirection at the distribution site, or the https downloads in Eclipse.
The Error Message
I am note sure why you are getting an error message about content.xml, the real file that Eclipse should be reading is content.jar which is there.
Try one of the solutions below and please post more details if you can.
Online Install
The URL for installation of the feature is http://pydev.org/updates. You can use that URL to Install New Software... from the Help menu if the Eclipse Marketplace is not doing what you want.
Offline Install
If you meet the requirements (below) and continue to have problems with the update site, you can download to install offline. Get it from SourceForge (or follow the link from PyDev's website to SourceForge)
LiClipse
Alternatively, simply get LiClipse instead. It is Eclipse and PyDev and a bunch of other useful stuff already packaged together. It is provided by the author of PyDev, so should give you the best experience.
Minimum Eclipse and JVM Requirement
Double-check you meet the minimum requirements: PyDev requires Java 1.7 or greater and Eclipse 3.8/4.3 or greater:
Requirements
Java 7:
[...]
Eclipse (3.8/4.3 onwards)
At start i was also facing same error that : The solution is not provide while installing PyDev - Python IDE for Eclipse 6.3.2
and when I am When trying to install I receive the following message: Unable to read repository at https://dl.bintray.com/fabioz/pydev/latest/content.xml. ?

Installing m2e plugin into Eclipse

I need to install m2e plugin. I was given a link
http://eclipse.org/m2e/download/
but it says that file is not found.
Then I tried https://www.eclipse.org/m2e/, went to the download link http://download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases
Its said there that I have to go to the Eclipse->Help->Install New Software
and in the text_field named Work with type http://Update site location
and press Enter
After I did it, I've got message
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core.ProvisionException
Unable to read repository at http:/content.xml
Unable to read repository at http:/content.xml
Use the main software site for your release of Eclipse.
For example for Eclipse Luna this is http://download.eclipse.org/releases/luna, the site should already be in the 'Work with' list.
Search for 'maven' or 'm2e'

Access visualsvn server from eclipse

When I enter the url for the server into a browser (Chrome, Firefox) I can access the repository if I accept the security exception.
When I enter the url into svn repository location in eclipse, along with the user name and password, I get an error occured while accessing the repository entry.
The error from eclipse is SVN: 0x00400006: Validate Repository Location operation finished with error: Selected SVN connector library is not available or cannot be loaded.
The instructions from this site worked
http://www.polarion.com/products/svn/subversive/download.php
In eclipse, go to help/install new software
Add the site
http://community.polarion.com/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/3.0/juno-site/
Install the svn connectors and svnkit.
Now, I can reach the server repository from eclipse. It may be helpful to use New / project from repository.

unable install svn plugin in eclipse

i want install svn plugin with eclipse. and i found this site for instruction
http://www.eclipse.org/subversive/documentation/gettingStarted/aboutSubversive/install.php
and i give following download link on my "Help-- Install New Software" option
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/subversive/1.0/update-site-1.0.1/
but when i try to download the plugin eclipse give me following error
i dont why ?
Quote from your tutorial:
On the 'Add Repository' form enter the URL to the Subversive update site.
The proper URL can be found on http://www.eclipse.org/subversive/downloads.php.
Also the update-site for Subversive integration plug-ins can be added in
the same way.
The link provided above is not the update-repository, its just an information page where you can find the latest repository URL.
Try this one:
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/subversive/1.0/update-site-1.0.1/
Hope this helpes, have Fun!
