I'm trying to connect to a channel in freenode using xchat but I'm getting this:
Invalid password for my_nickname.
Any idea?
NOTE: I'm asking here because I didn't find a good place to ask.. Please, recommend me a place to ask about freenode if you consider this is not the right place..
do you get that error on all channels?
otherwise there might be a password on the channel
could also be that you didn't identify to the nickserver and freenode doesn't let you join anything (not familair with freenode)
please explain some more or past some RAW code when you try to join a channel with that error
It means that you provided an incorrect password to NickServ. If you saved your password in xchat you may want to check to see if it is still valid. If you have forgotten your password, hop in #freenode and ask for password reset.

Can you please explain me How actually QR codes are created and How they are decoded. There are lots of websites and apps that can do the job. Here I have created a QR-code for the character QR12 by the website and this gives the following code :
I have decoded it to verify with the website and this gives the correct result.
I a'm very much interested to know the logic behind this to encode each character which is related to each square block. If I want to create this QR code by hand using pen and white paper, how can I do this. How can I do the reverse process also manually.
Thanks in advance.

when someone sign in to website and write username and password wrong
they said
username or password wrong
why they can't know what is the wrong specifically username or password?
Basically, you don't want to give a hacker any information to work off of. For example, if they're just putting in tons of usernames with random passwords and the site says that the password is wrong, the hacker knows they found an account and they can start working on the password. The combination of not knowing if either is valid is definitely more secure.

Yesterday I wanted to update my ownCloud isntallation from version 7 to 7.0.1 (or 7.0.0a - I can't recall the exact name...).
I triggered the update using the intrgrated update mechanism. Unfortunatelly it seems to get stuck since I still get the page stating "The ownCloud instance is currently being updated...".
Is there a way to get the installation going again without having to reinstall from scratch?
Thanks and regards!
I don't know whether you can get the installation going again, but I've just seen this post here: https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/10195. May be this is related to your problem? It seems to me, that you would need to start a new installation in this case.

Does anyone know how the "Citadel e-mail server" prevents the user can define their e-mail aliases yourself?
I've already read the FAQ, but unfortunately I have not found anything.
In my current version (8.17) only users with Aide rights can change their e-mail alias on citadel/webcit.
I believe that users with lower rights can't change it, at least when I tried, my users are "local users" (one Aide, and sometimes other for testing purposes).

Not quite programming, but someone here will know what I'm talking about and didn't know where else to go. A while ago I found an online service that basically let you sign-up with $anything#theiraddress.com. You could then go to their website and login by using $anything and didn't need a password. The message would be available for 1 or 2 days or so.
I somehow lost the address and loved the idea/service. Can anyone point me in the right direction again?
www.mailinator.com. Used it a lot for debugging.
I guess you are talking about
http://www.mailinator.com/
or
http://www.maileater.com/
I generally use mytrashmail.com, you can just do anything #mailmetrash.com and then check it without issue. You can even create a temporary private one (password protected) on the fly.
