UIActivityViewController Background Color - iphone

So I have a UIActivityViewController in my Application. How do I change the background color.
And I also have a quick how to add Facebook and twitter to my UIActivityViewController.
The Code:
- (IBAction)Social:(id)sender {
UIActivityViewController *social = [[UIActivityViewController alloc]initWithActivityItems:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:#"Travel+ Rocks",nil] applicationActivities:nil];
social.excludedActivityTypes = #[UIActivityTypeCopyToPasteboard,UIActivityTypeAssignToContact,UIActivityTypePostToWeibo,UIActivityTypePrint];
[self presentViewController:social animated:YES completion:nil];
[social setCompletionHandler:^(NSString *activityType, BOOL completed)
{
NSLog(#"Activity = %#",activityType);
NSLog(#"Completed Status = %d",completed);
if (completed)
{
// UIAlertView *objalert = [[UIAlertView alloc]initWithTitle:#"Alert" message:#"Your Posts were sucessful" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil];
// [objalert show];
// objalert = nil;
}else
{
// UIAlertView *objalert = [[UIAlertView alloc]initWithTitle:#"Alert" message:#"Your Posts weren't sucessful" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil];
// [objalert show];
// objalert = nil;
}
}];
}
These Piece of Code fix the Background Eror:
NSString *message = [NSString stringWithFormat:#""];
NSString *textToShare = message;
UIImage *imageToShare = [UIImage imageNamed:#""];
NSArray *activityItems = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:textToShare, imageToShare,nil];
UIActivity *activity = [[UIActivity alloc] init];
NSArray *applicationActivities = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:activity, nil];
UIActivityViewController *activityVC =
[[UIActivityViewController alloc] initWithActivityItems:activityItems
applicationActivities:applicationActivities];
[self presentViewController:activityVC animated:YES completion:nil];

Have a look on the following linked sample code you may get some idea...
https://github.com/coryalder/DMActivityInstagram/downloads

if you set the targets -> summary -> status Bar style the color of the share view will follow. that the best iv found out .....
hope it helps

I am receiving this error when trying to post an image to Twitter using the following code, cannot think what I am doing wrong any ideas for how to solve?;
- (void)PostToTwitter
{
UIImage* pxImage = [[self GetResultImage] retain];
TWTweetComposeViewController *twitter = [[[TWTweetComposeViewController alloc] init] autorelease];
[twitter setInitialText:#"Twitter Pic"];
[twitter addImage:pxImage];
FaceAppDelegate* app = (FaceAppDelegate*)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate];
[app.mainCtrl presentViewController:twitter animated:YES completion:NULL];
twitter.completionHandler = ^(TWTweetComposeViewControllerResult res)
{
if(res == TWTweetComposeViewControllerResultDone)
{
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc]initWithTitle:#"Success" message:#"You have posted successfully." delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"Close" otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
[alert release];
}
else if(res == TWTweetComposeViewControllerResultCancelled)
{
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc]initWithTitle:#"Cancelled" message:#"You have cancelled posting to Twitter." delegate:NULL cancelButtonTitle:#"Close" otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
[alert release];
}
[app.mainCtrl dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
};
[pxImage release];
}
I think, that your view isn't presented. Try to use app.window.rootViewController, not property mainContr.

Want to perform some action only when the post is successful via UIActivityViewController in iPhone

I am having an app in which i am using UIActivityViewController.
This is the code i am using.
NSString *postText = #"My Text";
NSArray *activityItems = #[postText];
UIActivityViewController *activityController =
[[UIActivityViewController alloc]
initWithActivityItems:activityItems applicationActivities:nil];
activityController.excludedActivityTypes = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:UIActivityTypePrint, UIActivityTypeCopyToPasteboard, UIActivityTypeAssignToContact, UIActivityTypeSaveToCameraRoll, nil];
[self presentViewController:activityController
animated:YES completion:nil];
This works fine. When i open Twitter or E-Mail from UIActivityViewController, It shows the text i want to share and that is fine.
But ,Now i want to perform some action in my DB only when the post is successful or The E-mail is sent successfully.
How can i do that?
[activityController setCompletionHandler:^(NSString *act, BOOL done)
{
NSLog(#"act type %#",act);
NSString *ServiceMsg = nil;
if ( [act isEqualToString:UIActivityTypeMail] ) ServiceMsg = #"Mail sent";
if ( [act isEqualToString:UIActivityTypePostToTwitter] ) ServiceMsg = #"Post on twitter, ok!";
if ( [act isEqualToString:UIActivityTypePostToFacebook] ) ServiceMsg = #"Post on facebook, ok!";
if ( done )
{
UIAlertView *Alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:ServiceMsg message:#"" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:#"ok" otherButtonTitles:nil];
[Alert show];
[Alert release];
}
else
{
// didn't succeed.
}
}];
use the completion handler's "done" parameter to check if completed or not
completionHandler is deprecated since iOS 8.0. Use completionWithItemsHandler instead, showing the Swift example here:
let activityViewController = UIActivityViewController(activityItems: sharingItems, applicationActivities: nil)
activityViewController.completionWithItemsHandler = { activity, success, items, error in
if success {
// Success handling here
}
}
activityController.completionWithItemsHandler = ^(NSString *act, BOOL done, NSArray *returnedItems, NSError *activityError)
{
NSString *ServiceMsg = nil;
if ( [act isEqualToString:UIActivityTypeMail] ) ServiceMsg = #"Mail sended!";
if ( [act isEqualToString:UIActivityTypePostToTwitter] )ServiceMsg = #"Post on twitter, ok!";
if ( [act isEqualToString:UIActivityTypePostToFacebook] )ServiceMsg = #"Post on facebook, ok!";
if ( [act isEqualToString:UIActivityTypeMessage] )ServiceMsg = #"SMS sended!";
if ( done )
{
UIAlertView *Alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:ServiceMsg message:#"" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:#"ok" otherButtonTitles:nil];
[Alert show];
}
};

iPhone iOS 5 SDK in app SMS error

thanks in advance every time I call to create an in app SMS i get the following error...
Application tried to push a nil view controller on target .
This is the code I have that worked in OS 4 SDK...
MFMailComposeViewController *MailController;
MFMessageComposeViewController *SMScontroller;
NSError *error;
NSString *EmailMessage;
NSString *SubjectMessage;
-(IBAction)sendInAppSMS
{
if([MFMessageComposeViewController canSendText])
{
SMScontroller = [[MFMessageComposeViewController alloc] init];
SMScontroller.messageComposeDelegate = self;
NSString *MessageString = #"Hello";
SMScontroller.body = MessageString;
SMScontroller.navigationBar.tintColor = [UIColor blackColor];
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarStyle:UIStatusBarStyleBlackOpaque];
[self presentModalViewController:SMScontroller animated:YES];
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarStyle:UIStatusBarStyleBlackOpaque];
}
else{
// alertView to tell user to setup a mail account.
NSString *message = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:#"To use this feature, you need to have an iPhone with SMS abilities."];
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"SMS Account Not Detected" message:message delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:#"Understood" otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alert show];
}
}
- (void)messageComposeViewController:(MFMessageComposeViewController *)controller didFinishWithResult:(MessageComposeResult)result
{
switch (result) {
case MessageComposeResultCancelled:
{
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"I Like It" message:#"User cancelled sending the SMS"
delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
}
break;
case MessageComposeResultFailed:
{
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"I Like It" message:#"Error occured while sending the SMS"
delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
}
break;
case MessageComposeResultSent:
{
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"I Like It" message:#"SMS sent successfully..!"
delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
}
break;
default:
break;
}
[self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
}
I believe if you are running this in the simulator you'll get the error since it doesn't have sms. I get the same error in simulator but if i connect to my phone it works fine.

Application crashing at Loading UIalertview indicator while loading data in iphone

I am calling URL on my Search button event to load data. I have put the code for Loading indicator Alert view by taking NSThread. I am using 3.2 xcode with 4.3 iOS. Every thing run smooth but on search button it shows Loading indicator and then crashing and showing following in console
Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”.
warning: Unable to read symbols for /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/4.3.2 (8H7)/Symbols/Developer/usr/lib/libXcodeDebuggerSupport.dylib (file not found).
Code under the Search Button click event:
- (IBAction) searchButton {
if([addressField.text length]==0)
{
UIAlertView *myAlert = [[[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Alert" message:#"Please Tap on 'Show Me' & choose the 'Radius' first!!!" delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"Ok" otherButtonTitles:nil] autorelease];
[myAlert show];
}
else
{
[NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:#selector(updateFilterProgress) toTarget:self withObject:nil];
appDelegate = (MapTutorialAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate];
CLLocationCoordinate2D location;
float radius = [[arrayNo objectAtIndex:[pickerView selectedRowInComponent:0]] floatValue];
NSString *url = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"http://....url...../hespdirectory/phpsqlsearch_genxml.php?lat=%f&lng=%f&radius=%f",locationManager.location.coordinate.latitude,locationManager.location.coordinate.longitude,radius];
NSLog(#"%#", url);
NSURL *URL = [NSURL URLWithString:url];
NSXMLParser *xmlParser = [[NSXMLParser alloc] initWithContentsOfURL:URL];
//Initialize the delegate.
XMLParser *parser = [[XMLParser alloc] initXMLParser];
//Set delegate
[xmlParser setDelegate:parser];
//Start parsing the XML file.
BOOL success = [xmlParser parse];
if(success)
{
if([appDelegate.markers count] == 0){
UIAlertView *myAlert = [[[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Alert" message:#"No results fond!!!" delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"Ok" otherButtonTitles:nil] autorelease];
[myAlert show];
}
else
{
resultButton.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
for (int i = 0; i < [appDelegate.markers count]; i++)
{
marker *aMarker = [appDelegate.markers objectAtIndex:i];
location.latitude = [aMarker.lat floatValue];
location.longitude =[aMarker.lng floatValue];
AddressAnnotation *annob = [[AddressAnnotation alloc] initWithCoordinate:location];
annob.title = aMarker.name;
annob.subTitle = aMarker.address;
[mapView addAnnotation:annob];
[annob release];
CLLocationCoordinate2D ausLoc = {location.latitude,location.longitude}; //for zoom in the showroom results region
MKCoordinateSpan ausSpan = MKCoordinateSpanMake(0.108889, 0.169922);
MKCoordinateRegion ausRegion = MKCoordinateRegionMake(ausLoc, ausSpan);
NSLog(#"No Errors");
mapView.region = ausRegion;
}
}
}
else
NSLog(#"Error Error Error!!!");
[addressField resignFirstResponder];
}
}
And for NSThread to Show Loaading indicator while loading data at the back.
- (void) updateFilterProgress{
NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [NSAutoreleasePool new];
Reachability *r = [Reachability reachabilityWithHostName:#"www.google.com"];
NetworkStatus internetStatus = [r currentReachabilityStatus];
if ((internetStatus != ReachableViaWiFi) && (internetStatus != ReachableViaWWAN))
{
UIAlertView *myAlert = [[[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"No Internet Connection" message:#"This app require an internet connection via WiFi or cellular network to work." delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"Ok" otherButtonTitles:nil] autorelease];
[myAlert show];
}
else{
UIAlertView *alertMe = [[[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Loading..." message:nil delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:nil otherButtonTitles: nil] autorelease];
[alertMe show];
UIActivityIndicatorView *indicator = [[UIActivityIndicatorView alloc] initWithActivityIndicatorStyle:UIActivityIndicatorViewStyleWhiteLarge];
// Adjust the indicator so it is up a few pixels from the bottom of the alert
indicator.center = CGPointMake(alertMe.bounds.size.width / 2, alertMe.bounds.size.height - 50);
[indicator startAnimating];
[alertMe addSubview:indicator];
[indicator release];
[alertMe release];
for (int i = 200; i > [appDelegate.markers count]; i--)
{
marker *aMarker = [appDelegate.markers objectAtIndex:i];
[alertMe dismissWithClickedButtonIndex:0 animated:YES];
}
}
[pool release]; }
Is there anything remaining in my code. Pleas correct me....
The variable alertMe is autoreleased and therefore you can't just send a release message to it. Remove the line [alertMe release]; and it will run perfectly.
You are probably accessing a released object. To see which one it is, set NSZombiesEnabled - this will show you which already released object you try to access, and you should be able to identify your problem.
Please have a look here to see how to enable the zombies in XCode 4:

How to upload photos to Plixi (Tweetphoto) using Oauth?

I am creating an iphone application in which I have to upload photos using different services.
I am successful in uploading photos with Twitpic & YFrog but not able to do with Plixi.
I am using Oauth ,as Twitter is not allowing Basic authentication.
If anyone has tried with Plixi ,please help me out!!
I have googled a lot but not getting any relevant documentation for the new Oauth for Plixi.
Finally, I am with a solution for my problem :)
If anyone is also stuck with this problem, just add the TweetPhoto folder from the following application link:
http://code.google.com/p/tweetphoto-api-objective-c/downloads/detail?name=TPAPI-Objective-C-Library.zip
Change the tweetphoto urls for plixi now.
Also, can refer to my following code for making function calls:
-(void)uploadtoTweetPhoto{
NSString *message = [self.tweetTextView.text stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:#"Max. 140 characters" withString:#""];
NSMutableDictionary *dictionary = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc]init];
if((message == nil) || ([message isEqual:#""])){
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle: #"Please enter your tweet message.." message: #"" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle: #"Ok" otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
[alert release];
}
else{
[dictionary setObject:message forKey:#"message"];
}
if([dictionary count] == 1){
[indicator startAnimating];
[NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:#selector(uploadPhotoToTweetPhoto:) toTarget:self withObject:dictionary];
}
[dictionary release];
}
- (void)uploadPhotoToTweetPhoto:(NSDictionary *)dictionary{
NSString *message = [dictionary objectForKey:#"message"];
NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init];
NSString *accessTokenKey = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] valueForKey:#"oauth_token"];
NSString *accessTokenSecret = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] valueForKey:#"oauth_token_secret"];
TweetPhoto *tweetPhoto = [[TweetPhoto alloc] initWithSetup:accessTokenKey identitySecret:accessTokenSecret apiKey:Plixi_API_Key serviceName:#"Twitter" isoAuth:YES];
NSData *dat =[tweetPhoto upload:UIImageJPEGRepresentation(self.imgView.image,0.8) comment:message tags:#"" latitude:23.4646 longitude:-87.7809 returnType:TweetPhotoCommentReturnTypeXML];
NSString *status =[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%i",[tweetPhoto statusCode]];
[tweetPhoto release];
[self performSelectorOnMainThread:#selector(photoUploadedtoTweetPhoto:) withObject:status waitUntilDone:[NSThread isMainThread]];
[pool release];
}
- (void)photoUploadedtoTweetPhoto:(NSString*)status{
[indicator stopAnimating];
if([status isEqualToString:#"201"])
{
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle: #"Tweet Posted" message: #"" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle: #"Ok" otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
[alert release];
}
else {
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle: #"Tweet Failed" message: #"" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle: #"Ok" otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
[alert release];
}
}
I'm curious as to the phrase you used in Google. In any case, googling "plixi api" tool me to this page, which links to a Cocoa wrapper on Google Code.
