Check if your api endpoint Supports upload of binary files. If it does, check if you're given url of the location of the video
When I share a link to any Youtube video the video is not loaded to the chronicle and only the link appears in the post as shown in the first link hereafter. In comparison links to vimeo video work well as shown in the second link hereafter. Could you tell why this happens with the links to Youtube video?

Refresh your page, or restart the browser. Sometimes it deosn't show the preview.
I'm trying to do a Feed Dialog in Facebook with a video already uploaded in Facebook.
First, I tried putting in the 'source' param the URL of the video, extracting it with the json return by Graph Api. However, Facebook doesn´t support their own media URLs in this way.
My intention is to show the same effect when you click in "Share" in any video in you facebook profile, but I don't know how i can refer the video.
I don't find anything in the Facebook's developers documentation.
Try linking to the video page itself, like how you link to YouTube if you want to share a video. Facebook renders the YouTube player in the wall when you do this, so in theory it should do the same when you share a Facebook Video URL.
I've just found the option: "Embed this Video" . In the code that Facebook gives in this option, I can find the URL for the video (www.facebook.com/v/video_id), and this works fine in the feed dialog.
The problem was the URL given in the JSON.
Thanks
I am trying to upload a video to Youtube using GData and I have been quite successful in doing so.
PROBLEM
I have run into a problem in passing different category names, some of which work and some of which do not.
For example, when I pass the video category "Comedy" the video will upload.
But, if I pass any other category, like "Entertainment", then I receive a 400 error.
I haven't any clue why this happening.
Give correct category that Youtube Accepts
you can just check the category name from you tube site where we upload the videos.
you can see the category dropbox in your youtube profile where you can select deferent category like Comedy ,education,Entertainment, gaming,Music ,sport
Note: you have give same category name which are displayed in category dropbox in your youtube profile
I want to stream a video from Facebook to my site and use my own custom video player (flowplayer for instance) to play it. Basicly I want to access the registered user's videos and play them in my application. is it possible? If it is, how can I achieve that?
Fairly easy, but there are a few steps to go thru.
Grab a list of their videos from the Graph API me/videos using their user access_token
Present user with list of their videos, let user select video to watch.
For the id of the video selected, call the Graph API and FQL the src or src_hq which gives you the link to the mp4 of the video
Point your custom player to the mp4 link.
