Something's changed recently with iPhone Configuration Utility, and I can't install an application on the device. It used to work well, but everything's changed (I suppose) after I updated iTunes to 11.0.2 and iPhone to 6.1.2.
The symptoms are:
Every time I start iTunes I got "Unknown error (-42110)" message.
iPhone Configuration Utility often lags and freezes.
iPhone Configuration Utility shows error "Could not transfer application to device. Error: kAMDUndefinedEror."
Any ideas how to solve it?
PS: Mac mini, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
UPD: Fixed iTunes "Unknown error (-42110)" issue by removing C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info folder. But iPhone Configuration Utility still can't install an application.
Ohh.. you have updated your device to 6.1.2 so i think you need a Mountain Lion OS for MAC. since it is not able to work with lion 10.7.5 also. Update your system to mountain lion. it will be fine again.

I am developing an app for iOS and also using Mac Catalyst to run on my Mac. The app runs fine on my iPhone but always shows an error on Catalyst. The code used to run fine before updating to Big Sur Beta 6 from Beta 5. Here's a screenshot of the error: . Also the error in code blocks for anybody who wants to copy it.

Faced same issue after upgrading to macOS 11 Beta 6. Reported bug to Apple but meanwhile found workaround - Select Product in Xcode, select 'Show in Finder'. Launch it from Finder. Additional step, hopefully Apple will look into it.
The problem is solved with new Mac OS 11.0 Beta (20A5374g).
If your catalyst app has multi-window support, you may still need to kill your existing app before launching the new one.
I also had the same problem. (I say had, I guess I still do, however I have a workaround) My App had been developed as iOS / iPadOS with Mac support. All has been working great throughout macOS 11 beta builds. Until today that is, when I, as you, updated to Beta 6. Upon attempting to run for macOS target I get the same error as you have posted.
After some googling I found https://www.virusbulletin.com/uploads/pdf/conference_slides/2015/Wardle-VB2015.pdf and had a go at simply opening the app directly from the build folder. Hey presto, it opened without any problems, I even cleaned out the build folder and built it again to make sure.
This would appear to be a problem that the next version of Xcode beta should fix. Until then, unless anybody can suggest a better fix, this will have to suffice for me at least :-(

I was having this same error code upon installing a Developer ID Distributed, Auto Signed version of a catalyst app on a test machine, non M1 Chip, Mac Mini(Late 2014) with MacOS Version 12.0 Beta installed.
The solution was to close the previously installed version of the app. Before opening the new version that I Airdrop over to the test Mac machine.
Previously when I selected "debug iPhone" in monodevelop it used to deploy as well as launch the application on the iPhone when I started the debugging.
It still deploys, but no longer launches the application on the iphone and I need to do that manually otherwise Monodevelop keeps saying "Waiting for debugger to connect"
Additional info: I am using an iPhone cable to do the debugging. It stopped working after I upgraded to mountain lion / Xcode 4.4
It should be working. OTOH the matrix of every possible cases is quite large (and both Mountain Lion and Xcode 4.4 are very recent).
The best thing is to fill a bug report and, beside OSX and Xcode versions, include:
the iOS version used on the device;
the MonoTouch version;
the MonoDevelop version.
For the last two (and also the precise builds of OSX and Xcode) you can get them easily from inside MonoDevelop by doing About MonoDevelop, selecting the Version Information tab and copy/paste this data in the bug report.
I have Mac mini machine It has 10.3.9 Mac OS. Now I want to develop the Iphone application on that. I have downloaded Xcode 1.5 from apple side. I have Install the Xcode and simple "hello woeld" is running properly.
Now I want to use phonegap to create Iphone application. I have downloaded the phonegap.dmg from below link. but when I am trying to install I am getting the warrning that The following image disk images failes to mount and phonegap -1.4.1.dmg no mountable file System all this error can come in this window.
My concern is that I am using very Old OS for that I am using is some other version or is their any problem with the OS.
Intel-based computer with Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6).
It is clearly mentioned in phone gap website .So you have to upgrade your system.
Somehow I managed to get MAC pc OS 10.5.3. I have installed mono, monodevelop and monoTouch in that system. I have created a solution and tried to build it simply. But it is showing an error message that "C# compiler crashes". What does that mean and how to resolve that problem. I have tried installing all the software once again, but couldn't found any appropriate thread to it.
You need to provide more details about the crash but I'd venture to guess that your problem stems from not having the latest Xcode and SDKs installed. You need to be running the latest Xcode release (3.2.5 currently) to use the latest MonoTouch (3.2.3 currently) and Xcode 3.2.X requires an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X Snow Leopard version 10.6.4 or later.
I am not sure what you mean by "somehow I managed to get MAC pc OS 10.5.3" but if that means that you've put together a hackintosh with a 10.5.3 image of OS X and you are trying to run MonoTouch on it, then you're swimming in unsupported waters. There have been reports that the simulator works fine on a hackintosh but you won't be able to deploy to the device.
I recently upgraded my XCode SDK to version 3.1.3 and my iPhone OS to 3.0. It is important to note that everything was working fine when I had OS version 2.2.1 in my iPhone. My iPhone Touch device is not jailbroken and I have a valid provisioning profile in the organizer which is linked to my iPhone Touch however it has a yellow circle next to it.
This is because in the organizer under devices it displays the ipod with version 3.0 (7A341) and then it Reads (in the section where the provisioning profiles should go):
This device is not activated. Please activate it using iTunes.
When I go in xcode and build the application it does so just fine, and the code signing is in fact assigned to the correct provisioning profile. But whenever I try to run it in the device I get "No provisioned iPhone OS device is connected.". This is because the organizer keeps telling me to activate the device using iTunes.
I have iTunes version 8.2 and the device is there and i can sync it just fine, however it keeps displaying that message in XCode. I have tried restoring my ipod about 10 times but I always get the same result, I have also tried powering off the iphone Touch and the computer but nothing seems to help.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I have the same issue, but I have an ipod touch version 2.2.1. It used to connect to Xcode 3.1.2, then I upgraded to 3.1.3 and it doesn't work. I reverted back to 3.1.2 and it does not work. It does work on a friends mac with 3.1.3 so there is something wrong with my iMac. Firewall is disabled. It connects to iTunes fine and it is activated. Just won't show up in the organizer. Rebooting does not work. I reset, and restored it and it still doesn't connect. The fact that it connects to a friends mac and not mine leads me to believe that upgrading the ipod to version 3.0 would not fix the issue.

Thanks to flycomputer i was able to resolve my problem with iphone os update to 3.1.3.
But i didn't need to make the symlink so check if it's done by itself or not before lunching the command :
$ ln -s /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/3.1.2\ (7D11)/ /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/3.1.3
This usually means your Phone is not activated with your provider. Can you actually make phone calls with your iPhone? Did you restore your phone via the XCode Organizer or iTunes?
Well it is not actually a phone it is an iPod Touch. I tried to restore it both via Xcode Organizer and iTunes with the same results.
This isn't the error I get, but try rebooting the iPod. Hold down the sleep/wake button on the top for a few seconds. When it asks if you want to turn off the device, move the slider to turn it off. I usually wait a minute and power it back on. This always works for me.
You are probably behind a firewall, with anti-spyware protection activated.
iTunes needs to connect properly to web (Apple, I guess) in order to activate correctly your device.
Disable the firewall, then launch iTunes, that worked for me.
