Hiding a selection based on another selection in an ssrs report - ssrs-2008

I need to write an SSRS report that displays data based on user selected options (parameters). The report will be run on either paid or unpaid data. If the selection is for unpaid data, the report does not need a date value (it will select all the unpaid records in the database). However, if the user selects paid data, they should also put in a date range. Is there a way to either hide or disable the date parameters if the user selects unpaid data?
I have found several forums that indicate this isn't possible, but want to verify with the folks here on stackoverflow (I have a higher level of confidence with the responses here). I also looked at cascading parameters but this doesn't seem to fit that mold.
Thanks for your help!

Infopath Repeating Table Replacing Looked Up Values in all Rows; Values Based on Two Seperate Fields

Here's the thought process and believe it or not I had it working and then it broke, now I am not sure why or how to fix it.
I have a secondary data source that is housed in a SharePoint list that contains billing rates for various tiers depending on the customer.
When you initially select a Tier and then the subsequent Positions under the daily billing area all is fine and dandy and values look up as they should.
However as is often the case someone will input the wrong Tier for the billing sheet and it would need to be changed to reflect the actual Tier. When this happens InfoPath is grabbing the value from the first row for the lookup and making it the value for all the position rate fields in the repeating table.
You can change them back, by selecting a different position and going back to the original position, however that is another step.
Seriously, this is the last bit for me to sort out before I can put this project behind me. I've included some screenshots of the groups and how they are laid out and the rules I have setup.
[Rules for Rate Tier field](https://i.stack.imgur.com/DO7e4.png)
[Rules for Position field](https://i.stack.imgur.com/JF8bh.png)

[Example of issue I am having](https://i.stack.imgur.com/aKD3t.gif)
I've tried everything from filtering the rate returned by the Position in the secondary source matching to the Position in the form which is activated conditionally when the Rate Tier equals a specific Tier. I've tried eval which I am not familiar with so I either got true or false but it never returned field contents.

{EpicorERP} Running a Report to see what users are doing/printing

I was wondering if anyone had a method of running a report to see what a user is doing in Epicor or what they are printing. We are having users report that in the middle of the night, when no one is here at the plant, there are 500 page reports being printed. We are able to see in the print queue who printed what, but the report doesn't match up with anything in our system. We would have for example a report called DailySales.rpt, but in the printer queue it would be something like hb986a87dthr.rpt. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this, or would have a solution that would let me see what a user is printing.
It is not possible to link the print job directly to the SysTask record because neither the print job number, the temp file, nor mac addresses are saved in Epicor for cross referencing. It can be approximated by looking at runtimes and the SysTask record.
You can create a BAQ and BAQ report to display Active and recently completed SysTask information by user. This will give you the report run, start/end times, user, and current status. If you need more detailed information such as the criteria used in the report, you can also join to the SysTaskParam table. Keep in mind that the SysTaskParam table is fully normalized by field name, so you may want to join multiple copies of the table with specific criteria if you need a lot of information. Unfortunately, for "print all pages" jobs, Epicor doesn't know how many pages the report will be until after the data is instantiated and then it is rendered in the reporting software, so you won't be able to get any estimate of number of pages or size.
There are many strategies for mitigating the issue you described. Here are a couple:
You can use criteria within the BAQ to limit the number of records returned for a specific query
You can create a subquery criteria from BAQ parameters to return no data when abnormally open parameters are used for the report (e.g. > 30 days range). You could also use this method with time gates based on the current system time.

Is it possible to schedule refresh different parts of a dataset?

I have a report on PowerBI that has many pages/tabs and each one also has alot of data being displayed. As I didn't design this, I'm going through the report to eliminate as much as I can and possibly splitting the report as alot of the data only requries refreshing once a week.
This is where my query comes in, I have information on one page that requires a refresh every two hours over a 12 hour duration, one field of data that requires a daily refresh and two more fields only require refreshing when required.
Is it possible to segment scheduled refreshes throughout a single part of the report, or does scheduled refresh only allow the entire report to be refreshed? (I.E. Sales status is hourly, Outbound status is daily, and sales summary is weekly)
I'd rather avoid having to split reports, as it is very handy to have them on one page; rather than having to open two and view them on multiple monitors.
I am just starting out on PowerBI reports, having been shown enough to get what I need done; but plan to delve further in, this being my first port of call if it is possible.
Thanks for any reponses in advance.
Brian.
No. It's Not Possible.
PowerBI Internal working like Tabular Model.
In Import mode we can not do incremental refresh also.
So other option is you can create Reporting layer and define denormilized with calucaluated columns Reporting tables.( Sales ,summary )
and use Direct query or Refresh and Do ETL for This table.
So you can schedule ETL for specific Tables i.e.Sales or summary.

Data Blending Tableau

I am creating a data blend and combining 2 excel files. I have volume
data dummy as primary data source & lifecycle dummy as secondary.
The common key is Ticket Id. Have created a calculated field to find the ticket
time which is Ticket Time =
DATEDIFF('day',ATTR([LifeCycle Dummy].[Assigned]),ATTR([LifeCycle Dummy].[Closed]))
Now i am not able to figure out how to show average ticket time per month or
at various other dimensions available such as priority, status etc. If i
remove the ticket id and only keep ticket time then the blend does not work. Do
advice if this can be achieved. Attached picture for reference.
If you want to show average ticket time per month, or any data based calculation, you'll need to join the data sources on Date also - looking at your screenshot they don;t appear to be linked yet. To enable them to be linked both fields must have exactly the same name, then you can click the paperclip icon next to the field to link it.

Filemaker GetSummary from related table

I'm been using FM for the first time and have a need to use Get Summary on a financial information table. This generates various summaries of different income by customer, year and type. The layout generated from this table is good. The use of Get Summary allows me to do math with the various results, whereas sub summary totals by income type (as far as I know) cannot be added and divided by each other.
The problem I'm facing is that I wish now to create a layout based on customers and include some of the Get Summary detail from the financial table. Because my new layout is based on customers, I understand I cannot use Get Summary from financial as either a related field or in a portal.
The end game is simply to scroll through customer records, one after the other, and have key financial information show on their 'home' screen if you will, for years and type.
Any help gratefully appreciated. Thanks
I understand I cannot use Get Summary from financial as either a
related field or in a portal.
No, that's not quite correct. The GetSummary() function returns the sub-summary value by breakfield - if records are sorted by breakfield. Thus if the portal (or the underlying relationship) sorts the related records by type, you will see sub-summary values in the portal. However, you won't be able to see only sub-summary values, since a portal has no sub-summary parts.
There are other ways to show summarized related data. If you don't have (and don't expect to have) a large amount of records, considering filtering a (one-row) portal to show only a specific type of related records, then place the summary field inside it. Of course, this assumes the types are known in advance and unchanging.
