upload video on a Convergence Application - samsung-smart-tv

hi everybody i try to develop a web application that can control Smart tv like this guide http://samsungdforum.com/Guide/tut00024/index.html i work fine but now i would like to upload video from computer then it can display on the smart tv like image shown on the tutorial have any one any idea or exemple or suggestion about modification of code that can i do that can help me i would like to modify code of convergence tutorial than can sens message or send video client application to smart tv application

Sending files is covered by the tutorial. You can find API reference for this here.
Sending video file is not exactly a wise thing, because there is a 3MB limit for a file that can be sent using Convergence API. This API is designed for sending messages between TV and external client rather than files. If you want to launch video playback, send video URL from web app to the TV and let the TV download the video by itself.

iOS - Develop iPhone app to stream camera video to a computer?

I'm looking for a way to create an app that will allow captured camera video to be streamed on a computer. For example, one person could be walking an iPhone around a room and another person could have that video streamed on their computer. Something kind of like a one-way Facetime except the receiver is on a computer. Also, I can't just use an existing app as later I would like to change the program to do some computer vision processing on the incoming data.
At the moment, I've found that AV Foundation should be the correct option for the video capture (from this question). However, I'm having difficulty finding the method by which I can actually stream this data. In particular, searching for how to create the apps on the iPhone frequently results in existing apps that do the task, but not how to create the app.
Can anyone give me a pointer to the information on how to stream the video capture from the iPhone? Thank you much.
You can use "Wowza media Server" for Streaming purpose
For wowza media server doenload :
Wowza Download
After installing wowza Now you need to set up live setting in wowza for that purpose you need:
Setting Up Live Application
For iOS side there is library is useful for video streaming using RTMP connection
You can get Library at
RTMP library for Streaming
Library example

In this good example of Streaming from iOS side
I had success with ANGL lib and Wowza media server. It gives smooths RTMP stream.

Detect video is going to be played in UIWebView

I want something similar to this:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/video-download-ibolt-downloader/id481606548?mt=8
I want to detect there is any video in web page and want to download that stream into iphone device.
In console media players tells that it is setting the movie path to some URL. There must be a way to download stream and save in local device.
P.S: I know how to download a video file. I want it using online streaming or from sites which does not provide a download link.
P.S++: Video download from HTML + UIWebView is not helpful.
Thanks.
The post is old but it might be worth to clear this
Those apps are probably using undocumented API. Apple doesn't accept private API when apps are submitted to the app store, however they might not be looking for usage of undocumented notifications
You can find more information in here and here
Those apps show you the download button after you click video, and after the video starts. So probably they are listening for media playback notifications and get the url from MPMoviePlayer instance.
By the way, apple doesn't allow apps that download videos from youtube. There might be some apps on the app store that does that, but I recently got rejected because of this. It might not be worth the hassle, as most big video streaming websites don't want people downloading their videos and work hard to make sure that they don't.

Steps to show live HTTP streaming video with no extension on MPMovieplayercontroller?

I am trying to develop an iPhone app which will be able to show live stream video on iPhone. The link is in format 'http://192.168.111.18:8002/testlink'.
I went through all the apple documentation and have downloaded mediastreamsegmenter and also it has been installed properly as I can see its details using 'man mediastreamsegmenter' command.I couldn't understand it after that. Please guide me regarding this.
You should use a link with suffix ".m3u8", which contains the TS segments of the live video stream. When you click on the "m3u8" link, then the video player will be launched to request for those TS segments, otherwise, the browser won't know it is a live video link.

Turning an iPhone or iPod into a wireless webcam

I'd like to stream video from the camera on an iOS device to a receiver via wifi, in effect turning the device into a wireless webcam. Is there a way to build a small app that captures video input on an iOS app and sends it via an RTSP stream or similar?
As this is an ad hoc experiment, I'm not concerned about App Store guidelines and can jailbreak if necessary.
If I interpret your question correctly you more or less need to solve four problems:
Get the camera feed.
Convert/encode this to the right format.
Stream the data.
Prevent the phone from locking itself and going into deep sleep.
The first one is fairly simple and Apple has as always provided good documentation and examples -> API link. Make sure you check out their example in the end as you will get a CMSampleBufferRef data object back.
For the second and third part, you should check out the CFNetwork framework and specially CFFTPStream for streaming using FTP.
If your are only building this for yourself then you can always turn off the Auto-Lock feature in the settings. If you on the other hand would like to distribute this to other users you could use a trick to play a mute sound every 10 seconds. This is more or less how all the alarm clocks work in the App Store. Here's a tutorial. =)
I hope I helped a little bit at least.
Good luck and best regards!
I'm 70% of the way to doing the same thing. Here's how I did it:
Capture content from video input
Chop video into files for use in HTML Live Streaming.
Spin up a web server on the iPhone and make the video files available.
Connect to the IP address of the phone and viola! you've got live streaming video.
Last time I touched the code I was trying to debug my Live Streaming not working. I'll try and get my source code posted on github this weekend, if you'd like to take a look.

iPhone MP3 Streaming alternative to Segmenting

I have run into a bit of a problem. I built an iPhone app that streams my podcasts via the MPMoviePlayerController. Apple will not approve it because it can use too much bandwidth over the Carrier Network. So their workaround is to use a Stream Segmenter. I am unable to install a stream segmenter on my server. Are their ANY other solutions people have come up with that can help me stream my podcast to iPhone devices? Even if I have to make it a Web Application as opposed to a native application.
Thanks,
John
You could use a simple service like Encoding.com to create iphone segmented ondemand versions of your files for multi bitrate adaptive playback. You could also provide a high and low quality and only display the high when the reachability class shows that your using wifi. I had to do the second option to get one of my apps to pass approval. Hope this helps!
Well if you don't want a native app, I think you can just put a video link on a webpage and when the user clicks it Quicktime will take over and play the file. It will play the file as it downloads it.
I don't have any experience streaming large files over the iPhone, so I can't help guide you on alternatives and keeping it a native app.
