I want to make a setting panel in my metro app.
I added a main page with webview like this:
<Page
xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
xmlns:local="using:App"
xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008"
xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006"
x:Class="App.MainPage"
mc:Ignorable="d">
<Grid Background="{StaticResource ApplicationPageBackgroundThemeBrush}">
<WebView x:Name="MainWebView"/>
</Grid>
and use this code to display my popip window
_settingsPopup = new Popup();
_settingsPopup.Closed += OnPopupClosed;
Window.Current.Activated += OnWindowActivated;
_settingsPopup.IsLightDismissEnabled = true;
_settingsPopup.Width = _settingsWidth;
_settingsPopup.Height = _windowBounds.Height;
SettingsPanel mypane = new SettingsPanel();
mypane.Width = _settingsWidth;
mypane.Height = _windowBounds.Height;
_settingsPopup.Child = mypane;
_settingsPopup.SetValue(Canvas.LeftProperty, _windowBounds.Width - _settingsWidth);
_settingsPopup.SetValue(Canvas.TopProperty, 0);
_settingsPopup.IsOpen = true;
but, finally the popup can't be displayed and when i set the webview to be hidden ,I found the popup behind the webview.
I can't found any function or properties to set the zindex or sth like zindex to help me taking the popup to the front.
How can I make it correct?
The behavior is by design as the WebView will always assume the topmost position. The recommended solution is to either hide the WebView as you popup, or to use the WebViewBrush as a placeholder when your popup is displayed.
There are lots of tutorials on the web, I personally recommend this article:

this is Ionic version 1 question:
i have 4 tabs, each of the tab have it's content, one of them have a list inside it...
so if we have a list inside 3rd tab, then we choose the list and go to single page with back button...
after i tab the back button, it back to 1st tab, not to 3rd tab...
it seems that it cannot remember the position by default, i have tried some workaround like this...
i set the tab just before it enter the previous page:
$scope.$on("$ionicView.beforeEnter", function (event, data) {
$ionicTabsDelegate.select($scope.maintabindex);
});
with this on-select on each tab:
<ion-tab title="Forum" icon-on="ion-tab-fa-headphones" icon-off="ion-tab-fa-headphones" on-select="tabSelected()" href="#/app/home">
and then i have this function:
$scope.tabSelected = function () {
$scope.maintabindex = $ionicTabsDelegate.selectedIndex();
};
the problem is, the on-select method executed after i back to the parent page (*with tab page), so it cannot working well, because $ionicTabsDelegate.selectedIndex() on-select always give 0 index after i back from the single page to the tabbed page
any idea?
The ionic go back button should work in those scenarios, be sure that the child's view route is using the same ui-view as the parent tab. If that is the case and it is still not working, it's better for you to override the backbutton on the childs view to go to the parent.
Like this:
<ion-nav-bar ng-controller="MyCtrl">
<ion-nav-back-button class="button-clear"
ng-click="myGoBack()">
<i class="ion-arrow-left-c"></i> Back
</ion-nav-back-button>
</ion-nav-bar>
function MyCtrl($scope, $ionicHistory) {
$scope.myGoBack = function() {
$ionicHistory.goBack();
};
}
You can even replace the myGoBack() function with $state.go('parent-tab-view')
Hi all SAP UI5 and FIORI positive,
I have ChartContainer with button for graph and button for table. It is defined in xml file as:
<suite:ChartContainerContent id="idButtonChart"
icon = "sap-icon://bar-chart"
title = "Chart"
>
<suite:ChartContainerContent id="idButtonTable"
icon = "sap-icon://table-view"
title = "{i18n>table}">
<suite:content>
Let's say I want to hide some of these buttons which are placed inside ChartContainer. I have tried (in controller.js part):
this.getView().byId("idButtonChart").setVisible(false);
or
this.getView().byId("idButtonChart").setVisible(false);
But this code, hided graph but not button. Please, do you have any idea how to hide button? Or to trigger click event on button idButtonTable?
Thanks for any advices.
Have you found any good solution for this issue? I've been checking the SDK and I can't find a way to get those buttons in an straight way.
Anyway, you could do it using the following code -
var chartContainerContent = this.getView().byId('your chart id');
var chartContainer = chartContainerContent.getParent();
var aToolbarButtons = chartContainer._oToolBar.getContent();
var segmentedButton;
for(var i=0; i<aToolbarButtons.length; i++){
var button = aToolbarButtons[i];
if(button.getMetadata()._sClassName === "sap.m.SegmentedButton"){
segmentedButton = button;
break;
}
}
//segmentedButton.getButtons()
Once you get the buttons you can setVisible(false) to the one you want.
Of course this is not the best, but the chartContainer doesn't provide any public function to get the buttons of the chart.
I try to understand the issue. You define 2 charts in your example.
The buttons are usually used to switch the display to the corresponding chart.
How are you going to switch between the 2 charts if you hide the corresponding button?
A little late but I guess an .updateChartContainer() after the .setVisible should do the trick:
this.getView().byId("idButtonChart").setVisible(false);
this.getView().byId("<NAME OF THE CONTENT CONTAINER>").updateChartContainer();
I created a textfield with this properties:
keyboardType: Ti.UI.KEYBOARD_DECIMAL_PAD
returnKeyType: Ti.UI.RETURNKEY_DONE
I tested this on a iphone device. The decimal pad appears but has no done button.
I also tried with other button types, without success. It seems that it is not possible to set the returnKeyType for the KEYBOARD_DECIMAL_PAD.
When I change the keyboardtype to KEYBORD_DEFAULT or KEYBOARD_NUMBERS_PUNCTUATION it works.
The last option (KEYBOARD_NUMBERS_PUNCTUATION) is an alternative that I can use but can someone tell me why it's not working with the KEYBOARD_DECIMAL_PAD?
Thanks.
KEYBOARD_DECIMAL_PAD doesn't provide a done Button. You must add a KeyboardToolbar on your TextField to add a Button which close your keyboard, like this :
in your .xml
<TextField id="textfield">
<KeyboardToolbar platform="ios">
<Toolbar>
<Items>
<Button title="Done" onClick="hideKeyboard" />
</Items>
</Toolbar>
</KeyboardToolbar>
</TextField>
in your .js
function hideKeyboard(e){
$.textfield.blur()
}
As Provided in archived answers
there is just a work around for this Issue .
which is to add a Done button to the softkeyboard buttons toolbar
https://archive.appcelerator.com/question/123421/done-button-on-numeric-keypad-can-this-be-done-in-appcelerator
to simplyfy the answer:
var doneButton = Ti.UI.createButton({ systemButton: Ti.UI.iPhone.SystemButton.DONE });
$.creditNum_txt.keyboardToolbar = [doneButton];
$.creditNum_txt.addEventListener('focus', function(e) {
$.creditNum_txt.keyboardToolbar = [doneButton];
doneButton.activeFld = $.creditNum_txt;
});
doneButton.addEventListener('click', function(e) {
e.source.activeFld.blur();
});
I recently started using the latest Desktop version of Google Material Design Lite, I figured it doesn't have a modal pop up and the team has not yet implemented it for the next release.
I have tried to include bootstrap model into it, but thats not working infect seems pretty messed, I believe with the classes/styles clashing with each others.
Any Idea what will work good as an replacement ??
Thanks for your help.
I was also looking for a similar plugin and then I found mdl-jquery-modal-dialog
https://github.com/oRRs/mdl-jquery-modal-dialog
I used this because the other one I found was having issue on IE11. This one works fine.
<button id="show-info" class="mdl-button mdl-js-button mdl-button--raised mdl-js-ripple-effect mdl-button--accent">
Show Info
</button>
Here a JSFiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/w5cpw7yf/
I came up with a pure JavaScript Solution for this
You can use the default bootstrap data attributes for the buttons, and make sure that your buttons and modals have their own unique IDs.
You need to have Material Design Lite's JS included before using this JavaScript
Check out the code. Any reviews are welcomed. :)
// Selecting all Buttons with data-toggle="modal", i.e. the modal triggers on the page
var modalTriggers = document.querySelectorAll('[data-toggle="modal"]');
// Getting the target modal of every button and applying listeners
for (var i = modalTriggers.length - 1; i >= 0; i--) {
var t = modalTriggers[i].getAttribute('data-target');
var id = '#' + modalTriggers[i].getAttribute('id');
modalProcess(t, id);
}
/**
* It applies the listeners to modal and modal triggers
* #param {string} selector [The Dialog ID]
* #param {string} button [The Dialog triggering Button ID]
*/
function modalProcess(selector, button) {
var dialog = document.querySelector(selector);
var showDialogButton = document.querySelector(button);
if (dialog) {
if (!dialog.showModal) {
dialogPolyfill.registerDialog(dialog);
}
showDialogButton.addEventListener('click', function() {
dialog.showModal();
});
dialog.querySelector('.close').addEventListener('click', function() {
dialog.close();
});
}
}
<!-- Button to trigger Modal-->
<button class="mdl-button mdl-js-button" id="show-dialog" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#upload-pic">
Show Modal
</button>
<!-- Modal -->
<dialog id="upload-pic" class="mdl-dialog mdl-typography--text-center">
<span class="close">×</span>
<h4 class="mdl-dialog__title">Hello World</h4>
<div class="mdl-dialog__content">
<p>This is some content</p>
</div>
</dialog>
I use MDL with bootstrap and the modal is displayed correctly after adding the data-backdrop attribute this to the modal element:
<dialog data-backdrop="false">
Hope it helps!
I have a loading popup that I need to display on the top of the page, even if the user scroll down.
What I tried so far is to set the popup position as follows
setPopupPosition(Window.getClientWidth()/2 , 0);
The popup shows up on the absolut top.
The situation can be resolved easily if you view it from a different angle: Not the popup position should adjust to the page - instead, the page should scroll behind the centering popup, e.g.:
final ScrollPanel scrollPanel = new ScrollPanel();
RootLayoutPanel.get().add(scrollPanel);
pagePanel = new FlowPanel();
scrollPanel.setWidget(pagePanel);
pagePanel.add(...);
Now add the entire page contents to pagePanel (instead of adding them directly to rootPanel).
Then you can create popups like this:
final PopupPanel popupPanel = new PopupPanel();
popupPanel.add(...);
popupPanel.center();
You'll still have to re-center the popup when the window resizes, but apart from that, the popup will always be at the center in front of the scrolling page.
To achieve this you can implement Window.addWindowScrollHandler. It will always be on top whatever you do.
DialogBox dialog = new DialogBox();
dialog.setWidget(...);
Window.addWindowScrollHandler(new ScrollHandler() {
#Override
public void onWindowScroll(ScrollEvent event) {
dialog.setPopupPosition((Window.getClientWidth() - widthOfDialog) / 2, event.getScrollTop());
}
});
Hope this helps.. Thanks..
The solution that worked for me is this
setPopupPosition(Window.getClientWidth()/2 , Window.getScrollTop());
