I'm using Durandal to make a Single-Page Application. Is there a way to add Adsense code into the view/model?
I'm currently using iframe's to add the ads into the views. My concern is that this could violate Google's terms and conditions.
You could bind the script using Knockout, but have you tried using Durandal's Composition to include an HTML page?
Example:
<div>
<div data-bind="compose: 'views/adsense.html'"></div>
</div>
Inspired from docs here: http://durandaljs.com/documentation/Using-Composition/

Is there any direct way to integrate Google Tag Manager JS snippets in AEM pages ?
The AEM Tools provide only for Google Analytics snippet using cloud services component. But GTM needs two code snippets on a page, one in <head> and one in <body> section of the page.
Hard coding the JS snippets in my HTML's is not a good idea.
GTM scripts is based on website specific tracking. So you can create sitelevel configurations for GTM containerID(think for future) and add header footer script in page component with dynamic containerID that you can configure in site level config so that it will be available across all pages.
I am new in GWT. Is this possible to create multiple HTML pages in GWT? and if can create, than it is relevant to create page?
If you find any html page in gwt, you will find two entries which is common to all html page of gwt.
That is below.
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="{modulename}/{modulename}.nocache.js"></script>
<body>
<iframe src="javascript:''" id="__gwt_historyFrame" tabIndex='-1' style="position:absolute;width:0;height:0;border:0"></iframe>
</body>
It loads module.cache.js into iframe.
So In short gwt work on one page only. it is single page application.
Refer: how you can do multipage in gwt?
If your objective is to have multiple page patterns for the same GWT application, you can create multiple pages, GWT won't prevent you from doing that (it doesn't even know it is called from different HTML pages).
So technically it is possible, now it is said, I won't recommend you doing that. You'd rather do different css files and swap between them. It will be easier to maintain your app.
I am trying to understand what kind of web applications Apache Wicket is suitable for, and it seems to be page based from what I have seen. How can it be used to make single page web apps as well?
At our company we have 3 SPA built on Wicket. They all work :) Basiclly our structure is:
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<div wicket;id="menu">
<!-- navi links -->
</div>
<div wicket:id="main">
</div>
</body>
</html>
And we replace the main panel and it's inside panels effectivly getting an SPA.
Ajax support in Wicket 6 is very good.
Yes, its basically for page based webapps. So, it can also be used easily form single page web app.
I suggest just reading this short example of Hello world
After that, you can easily edit your equivalent of HelloWorld.html and HelloWorld.java to make really easy HTML in Java.
I have icons (custom branded facebook, twitter, pinterest etc.) on a website and I would like it to be easy for visitors to talk about blogposts on these various social media.
To do so, I have created a server-side function that outputs links that look like this:
<a target="_blank" href=http://rest.sharethis.com/share/sharer.php?destination=facebook&url=http%3A%2F%2Fsite.mydevelopmentserver.com&title=postname&pub_key=123456&access_key=123456"/>FACEBOOK LINK</a>
with equivalent links for the other social media links.
I do not load any sharethis scripts or interact with the sharethis api in any other way on my site, and this method seems to be working fine (the jury is still out on analytics)
My questions are:
a. Is there anything wrong with using sharethis in this way?
b.Is there a better way to do this that does not require me to have my access key visible in my links?
I think the answer to my questions are:
a. Yes, there is something wrong with using sharethis in this manner. Your access key will be visible to everyone.
b. Yes, there is a better way to do this. There is no need to access the API directly at all to customize your sharethis buttons. Just insert the normal sharethis script that you can generate here: http://sharethis.com/publishers/get-sharing-tools, then change the buttons' classes to st_[service]_custom (where service is the service you would like to access).
That is, put I put this in my header:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://w.sharethis.com/button/buttons.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">stLight.options({publisher: "1234"});</script>
and this in the body:
<span class="st_pinterest_custom">Pinterest</span>
<span class="st_twitter_custom">Twitter</span>
<span class="st_facebook_custom">Facebook</span>
<span class="st_googleplus_custom">Google</span>
<span class="st_stumbleupon_custom">Stumble</span>
Then I just style the buttons using my own CSS.
Works like a charm, thanks sharethis!
Also, if anybody needs general help making things more complicated than they need to be, ask me -- I can do it for you in a jiffy!

According to the Facebook developer roadmap, it will soon be possible to put iframes inside page tabs but it's not yet available. I came across this Store Locator on Coach page which uses an iframe to display a Google map inside a tab :
http://www.facebook.com/Coach?v=app_168904438199&ref=ts
Looking at the source code, I see the map really is inside an iframe. How is this possible?
in STATIC FBML pages you CAN'T USE IFRAMES - no matter what FBML code you put in there, facebook have specifically made the code not work in in business page/tab static fbml pages - my guess is so they can prevent people setting up Amazon stores or other content that uses IFrame (spammers and spyware often use iframes) - the updates are in their 2010 wiki - so it's probabley also a security thing.
I frames can still be used on developers canvas pages apparently but the customer has to click on an image for it to activate rather than the iframe automatically loading - again this is probably a security issue to prevent driveby downloads - where zwinky and similar toolbars are forced onto people computers in the background via iframes without their knowledge.
However some say it does work although you need a user to click on it before it works. if you can live with that then go for it.
<a onClick="outside_location.setInnerFBML(location_two);" style="cursor: pointer;"><center>→our website</center></a><div id="outside_location"> <fb:iframe width="730" height="400" frameborder="0" src="http://www.fborder.com/" /> </div>
<fb:js-string var="location_two"> <fb:iframe width="730" height="600" frameborder='0' src='http://www.fborder.com/' /> </fb:js-string> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> var outside_location = document.getElementById('outside_location'); </script>
check out this post. people have got it to work. and some say it wont work for the obvious reasons. such as security and so on. but give it a go regardless.
