Is it possible to put two Facebook fan page like boxes on the same page?
And if so, how do I do it.
I'm able to put one but not more - is it a js problem? would iFrame work?
Thanks!
You can add as many Like buttons as you want by just providing the value for attribute href within the code for your plugin wherever you want the plugin to appear on your page. If not specified it defaults to current page.

I've successfully added a Share button to my website using the following code:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/share-button
It produces a popup with a link to the og:url along with the title of the linked page and a picture from it, which I can then post, and it shows up on my Facebook.
I am having 3 issues with this:
I've update the og:url and data-href after page load, using jquery, but the new values get ignored when I Share.
the og:title, og:description, and og:image don't appear to be used at all.
Sometimes I'd like to Share some custom text (and images if possible) without any url.
I'm aware that Facebook provide other tools/APIs that provide more versatility but it seems that would mean my site would have to go through a review process, and I'd have to code for security. This is not an option and I want to stick to the popup method.
Hope someone can help. Many thanks.
If the tags do not change when posting, refresh (and test) the tags in the debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/
Dynamically created Open Graph tags (with JavaScript) will be ignored, the tags have to be in the original page source.
I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to embed the facebook feed dialog on a page rather than have it popup overlayed on the page.
I've followed the instructions here and get it to popup, but dont' know if it's even possible to have it embedded on the page. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/dialogs/feed/
Thoughts?
Check out display parameter in Common Dialog Parameters.
According to that you can show a dialog as a page, iframe, popup.
Using an iframe could be useful in your case, for which you will need a valid access_token.
Hope this helps
Yes, I just wrote up how to do this along with a workaround for specifying the recipient here: Letting user specify recipients within Feed Dialog
No, you cannot embed it to the page.
basically it is either popup or lightbox.

I've found the code but not where to put it on my Facebook page.. not my website. Everyone keeps referencing dropping it in a code block, but I haven't been able to find an example of how to do this.
There's already a Like button on Facebook Pages if the user viewing the page doesn't already like the page. If you want to add a like button on your Page for another entity (such as a website, article, or a different Page) you'll need to install a tab to your page where you can put HTML content.
There are several third party applications that allow you to do this, one of the popular ones is http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=190322544333196 - you could add a new tab to your page with some static content (images, etc) and include the Like button on that tab.
There is no way to embed a like button for an external entity into a post on the page's wall, which i suspect is what you're currently trying to do.
i'm struggling around for days now ...this is the scenario:
a user can upload a pic and add some text on the site. After that, he/she gets a link that leads to his created content. I want the user not only to share his content with the link, but also on facebook with specified image and text. Tried this with open graph tags, but it is bad changing those tags dynamicly before liking because fb caches that info and does not recognize specific changes ... but correct me if i'm wrong ...
The problem seems to be, that when the user clicks on the like button, the content to share is not the actual site, but the subsite with its content ...
How would you do this?
Thanks for any advice!
I think you are looking for something like this:
facebook like: href url vs. canonical url
doing it with the fbjs sdk was the right hint ... now it works perfektly and individual ...
I am trying to add a fan box on my fan page using the <fb:fan> tag. But it just doesn't get rendered on the page.
I also tried using an <fb:iframe> as mentioned here, and setting its source to another file which contains the code for <fb:fan> tag. But even that doesn't work.
This wont work in StaticFBML. The only work around is to use an iframe with StaticFBML. In the Iframe, you can then load the widget.
