I came across the project which gets all the icons bundled with iOS. However, I don't remember where I found that project.
All I want to do is grab all the images/icons (Battery status icon, network icons, gps icons, etc) from iOS.
Any hints where can I find help for this problem? Where should I start from?

UIKit Artwork Extractor extracts all the artwork and emoji symbols contained in UIKit into png files.

And what is the full list of variable I can use it with Manifest file (.pList)?
You may not change the "Waiting" and "Installing" text. It has nothing to do with your application, but with iOS.

I have read several sites and they all say to upload the app, but I don't know what the exact file to point to is. Anybody out there know the answer?
As it turns out, there was a really helpful question which I didn't find. It is How can I build for release/distribution on the Xcode 4?
In the answers was one by benvolioT which points to a webpage. This webpage is just the answer for this question. It is worth bookmarking.

I am looking especially for tab bar icons, buttons and backgrounds. Are there any websites intended for this purpose?
Glyphish have great icons I use in lots of apps. Their pro series are well worth the modest cost.
I'm not sure how high is the quality you're expecting, but you will certainly find GUI images on Open Game Art that you can legally use.

Can someone tell me what's the font family names for above texts (title, subtitle, author & content)?
Thanks
block 1,2,4 are serif, maybe times new roman.
block 3 is san-serif, maybe helvetica, or arial.
Most newspapers have their own proprietary fonts.
Sometimes the production information will tell you.

There are a lot of things I'm bad at, but drawing probably tops the list.
I'm looking for a decent size repository for iPhone tab icons. Something similar to Wikimedia commons (I ask this as I'm waiting for fink and GIMP to install). Any suggestions out there?
Personally I rate the Glyphish collection of icons and have used them in several projects.
