everybody,
I have this propblem and I don't know how to solve it. I explain:
I hired a vps and installed a centos6 template with vhm/cpanel.Itried to configure everything and it seems to be working; The only propblem is that the script that I used on a shared host are no more runing and I get this error "Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class + name of class".
This scripts are for example joomla2.5,joomla 3 ,...
I have searched on forums and no body seems to understand this problem. Everybody is thinking it's about using "include" instead of "require_once" but that is not the case because I did not touch anything on this scripts and I simply moved them from the former host to the new environment on the new vps. For me I think something is going wrong on this envirnment not the scripts.
Does anybody have an idea about what's going on on my new vps? Please?
I have solved the problem! The error was due to a wrong php handler "dso".This handler does not allow you to load or redeclare classes inside one script operations.
When I changed to "cgi" everything started running smothly. I think cpanel should not include "dso" php handler as default but set "cgi" or "suPHP" instead.
Here is an article about running PHP as a cgi/apache module.
http://docs.joomla.org/Should_PHP_run_as_a_CGI_script_or_as_an_Apache_module%3F
This other article sugest using cgi on php5 environment and dso on php4.

If you have this problem on shared host I don't know any other work around but calling the hosting campany to adress the issue by changing php handlers on the sever.
Here is another interesting article about php handlers

Thanks and I hope this will help someone.

When I am debugging JavaScript files, if I put a break point in an exported class, I get the error shown in the image bellow.
I cleared the Windows System log, and right after I start debugging and get the error, a new entry is in the Windows system log. This happens every time without fail. The error in the Windows System log is:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission
for the COM Server application with CLSID
{2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54}
and APPID

address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID
(Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services
administrative tool.
My question is how do I fix this issue?
Update 7/26/2022:
If I remove the breakpoint from the constructor of the class and put it elsewhere in the class, it works without any errors. The error occurs if the breakpoint is in the constructor.
I found the answer and it is not anything above.
Well, I finally solved the problem. I am updating this answer so that someone else will know the answer without going down all the wrong paths that I went down. The problems was not any of the tools. The problem was with the code. While technically the code was correct, executing it with a breakpoint caused the error I talked about above. I was able to fix this problem by moving all the class member variables to the top of the class before all member functions. The error only occurs when you add a breakpoint before the member variables are defined. Code analyzers say there is nothing wrong with the code. The error message could be more informative!

Seems like a silly question, but I cannot find the kernal.js script and I think I need to edit it for my installation...(see reason below if interested, though it's not part of the question). Does anyone know where it would be located on a Linux Ubuntu system? I've tried find and grep, but not getting anywhere.
I am serving ipython notebook with a reverse proxy in front, and I am finding that the path to the kernals is wrong, causing errors when I try to load a notebook. I think this line is a problem:
var ws_url = this.ws_url + this.kernel_url;
Because it excludes the port number suffix from ws_url, which is needed as I am not using the default port with my reverse proxy setup.
I realise it would be an ugly hack to change it, but it's only for development purposes.
Check /usr/share/ipython/notebook/static/services/kernels/js/kernel.js
I'm relatively new to chef and am in the process of using the edelight mongodb cookbook. I've got the process of actually creating a standalong mongodb instance working fine. It's understanding how to use the subsequent user_management recipe to create the initial admin user and regular users.
When I add "default['mongodb']['config']['auth'] = true" to the attributes/default.rb file, and run the mongodb::default recipe, the db is created and authentication is on.
However when I run the mongodb::user_management recipe I get this error every time. Clearly I'm doing something wrong, but being new to editing chef/ruby files I can't determine what's failing. Looks like I might need to work within the users.rb attribute file?
===================================================
Error executing action add on resource 'mongodb_user[admin]'

The edelight cookbook has been unmaintained for quite some time now. Chef-Brigade is attempting to take over maintenance on the cookbook until a new owner can be found.
https://github.com/chef-brigade/mongodb-cookbook
There is work being implemented to fix some of the user_management issues. I am not 100% sure the current state of the user_management fixes but you would likely be better off starting with that cookbook and reporting any issues to the team there so they can work to resolve. There is active development taking place.
I would be glad to help you debug the issue if it persists on the chef-brigade flavor of the cookbook as we can actively make changes to resolve any issues.
I'm trying to connect to a website via HTTPS, by sending a WWW::Mechanize get request and whenever I try and run my script I get this error:
This Application has faile to start because libeay32_.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem
And inside the command prompt I get:
Error GETing http...: can't load 'C:/strawberry/perl/vendor/lib/auto/Crypt/SSLeay/SSLeay.dll for module Crypt::SSLeay: load_file: The specified module could not be found (Crypt::SSLeay or IO::Socket::SSL no installed) at ...
I don't understand the problem because I'm very new to programming with Perl. Crypt::SSLeay is installed, the .dll is in the proper location and IO::Socket::SSL is also installed, or whenever I try to install it via cpan i get the libeay error again. The libeay32_.dll is located in the C:\straberry\c\bin. I don't have full access right to the computer because I am doing this from work. If someone could explain to me the reason for the problem it would be appreciated.
I make an answer out of my comments so you can check this question as answered:
Add "C:\straberry\c\bin" to the PATH-environment variable
Close the explorer- and/or commandline-windows since running processes aren't notified if the environment changes and thus keep the old environment active (okay, in the command line you could apply the update manually by set PATH=...new path...).
Have you read the README.SSL file that comes with LWP? (WWW::Mechanize uses LWP to make the actual HTTP requests).
I'm using MAMP-pro to serve my domain to the outside world.
I'm not a very experienced sys-admin, though I've slogged my way through a few basic things. I know what apache is, and I can read-most-of but not generate-without-guide related .conf files.
I've got a perl script which I've tested from the command line and it works (outputs as desired.)
When I try to access said script from the browser, I get 404.
I've tried placing the script at:
/Users/me/Sites/mydomain.com/htdocs/mycgi.pl
/Users/me/Sites/mydomain.com/cgi-bin/mycgi.pl
/Users/me/Sites/mydomain.com/htdocs/cgi-bin/mycgi.pl
and accessing it as:
http://www.mydomain.com/mycgi.pl
http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/mycgi.pl
and all the various combinations, all to no avail (404.)
The script and its container directory have permissions 755.
So, what other steps am I missing? Are there any good set-up guides? I tried the MAMP-Pro manual, but it is filled with such information as "the cancel button cancels the current operation" and not really anything useful. Google turned up several hits that all seem to talk about how to make this work on localhost, but I'm trying to serve this to the outside world.
Any hints?
Thanks!
The official online documentation has a section on virtual hosts. When creating a host for www.mydomain.com you can choose the DocumentRoot which is called "Disk location" within MAMP PRO. If you still get a 404 error, take a look into the error_log for a more specific reason (i.e., where Apache tries to find the file in question).
