How to customize a Destroy() Action in the Kendo UI Grid? - popup

Can someone tell me how to customize the css, the message and the text in the "Yes" / "No" buttons in the popup launched by the Destroy() method in the Kendo UI Grid?
My code looks like this:
#(Html.Kendo().Grid<ActivityModel>(Model.Activities)
.Name("Grid")
.Columns( columns => {
columns.Bound( c => c.Name ).Width(50);
columns.Command(command => command.Destroy()).Width(90);
})
Thanks for your time!

Currently you can only customize the text of confirmation of deletion of row. If you want to customize the message then better option is to use custom command button that deletes the row and you can setup the pop up design as per your requirement. Please refer below link for custom command in kendo grid.

Customizing properties dialog screen in IBM Content Navigator

I need to develop a functionality in IBM Content Navigator where after search for an item, right click it-> Properties, I need to either:
1 - add a button in properties dialog screen that will call a service and open another dialog;
2 - or extend the Save button functionality to also call a service and open another dialog;
What's quickest way to achieve that ?
Have a look # ecm.widget.dialog.EditPropertiesDialog and onSave() method. This might help you to extend save button functionality.
You can add your customized code by using aspect before/after:
(choose either depending on your functionality)
aspect.after(ecm.widget.dialog.EditPropertiesDialog.prototype,"onSave", function(event){
......
});
aspect.before(ecm.widget.dialog.EditPropertiesDialog.prototype,"onSave", function(event){
......
});

Setting values to a form which is not rendered yet

I have a form within a tab. It is second tab so it doesn't render until you open it.
I have tried to submit data to the form with Ext.getCmp('DetailsForm').getForm().setValues(selections[0]); but it says that it is not a function. Probably because it is not rendered yet. What I have to do?
Set the deferredRender config property of your Ext.tab.Panel to deferredRender: false
That will force the rendering of all tabs instead of just active ones. Now the form will be there. As mentioned before I recommend you also to use myTabPanelRef.down('from').getForm().setValues(selections[0]); to access the form.
subscribe to the second tabs show event OR painted event
then look for the form preferably by using .down() method as this wont look with in the entire DOM.
set the values
Use render event of form panel.
Your code will be something like this -
Ext.getCmp('DetailsForm').on('render', function(){
this.getForm().load(selections[0]);
});

Saving page preference in site navigation using SiteMapPath control

I have created site navigation in my ASP.net application using SiteMapPath control and its working fine. Now my requirement is that, there is open page in my application which has Radio buttons and based on their selection datagrid is populated from database. I want to save the radio button selection in navigation url so that when I click on that page through navigation url then page will display the data from my selected options.
Any help would be highly appriciated.
Thanks,
Yogesh
I'm not sure that I understand. I propose some other solution (using Session). Add event to radioButton onSelectionChange. When selection change, remember this in Session
Session["name_param"] = some_params;
And in form with dataGrid get event PageLoad with code:
if ( Session["name_param"] != null ) {
var param = Session["name_param"];
// using param to load data to grid
} else {
// something else, maybe default chance for data to grid
}

JQGrid - Add buttons to a Form Edit dialog

I have been using JQGrid for about a year now and I love it. Just wondering if someone knows a way to add a button or two that will trigger my own code on a Form Edit page? Not on the grid itself - the edit dialog.
Would I just use the onInitializeForm event?
Thanks!
Jim
I used jQuery to do this. In my case I had a drop-down select item as a field on the edit for and I wanted to add a link next to it. I used the beforeShowForm event.
beforeShowForm: function(form) {
$("#MyDropDownList").after("<a href='#' id='link'>A Link To Something</a>");
},
Hope this helps, even though it's a few weeks late.

How do you programatically remove (not disable) a button from TinyMCE?

I can disable the table button using this:
tinyMCE.activeEditor.controlManager.get('divId_table').setDisabled(true)
but what I'm interested in is actually hiding it. Any idea on how to accomplish that?
Thank you!
First, you have to use the advanced theme.
Then, add this option in the TinyMCE init code.
tinyMCE.init({
...
theme_advanced_disable : "bold, justifyleft, justifyright"
});
I hope this might help someone.

list of elements' name here
I'm not familiar with TinyMCE myself, but since you appear to have javascript access to the element itself, all you need to do is set it's display property to "none".
document.getElementById("theButton").style.display = "none";
incase ur trying to hide a specific button, use the following code.
$('.mce_cut').hide() //hides cut button
lookup other button titles using firebug in case u wish to hide something specific.
Incase you are looking to hide specific editor's button, modifiy the jquery selector to select correct sibling/descendent.
alternately, try this ..
tinyMCE.activeEditor.controlManager.controls.ctl00_SPWebPartManager1_g_5005db96_e035_4197_a958_75f008b35061_ctl00_tbKeywords_cut.remove()
Note that ctl00_SPWebPartManager1_g_5005db96_e035_4197_a958_75f008b35061_ctl00_tbKeywords is my asp.net control's id. Don't bother about this if ur not using Asp.net serverside textbox control. In case you are.. <% theTextBoxID.ClientID %> gets u that.
Use the following (using jQuery; a non-jQuery approch is easily built):
var elem = $(ed.id+'_'+'divId_table')
elem.addClass('mceButtonDisabled');
elem.removeClass('mceButtonEnabled');
