I'm using Eclipse to develop an Android application, and I want to use Bluestacks as my emulator. I tried adb 127.0.0.1 successfully. When I double click my project's APK, it says that my app has been installed, but when I try to run it in Bluestacks my app store it says "device could not find your app". Alternatively I also tried to run it by using Eclipse IDE, and it said "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine". How do I fix this?
Try restarting Bluestacks and following the procedure again. By following the procedure I mean running the command adb connect 127.0.0.1 and reinstalling the APK you want to test. It worked for me.

I used to run my application in VIVO Y51L device. It's showing as No USB devices detected.
Developer options and USB debugging is ON, but it is still not detecting. What should I do??
This is probably due to improper driver installation or adb. Although this should not have happened if you had it working earlier re-installing the drivers should fix this. I'd recommend you to download and run the 15 second adb installer. It would install adb system-wide and also give you an option to re-install the required google drivers.
Installing them should fix this. You can verify that your device is connected by opening the command prompt and typing adb devices. It should kill the daemon and restart it. Once you switch back to Android Studio and run it. Your device should show up there.
Good Luck.
I have installed sdk with ide for webOS TV. I have installed emulator and run it before running webOS TV IDE. However doesn't matter how I try I can't connect to emulator devices. I have the following error:
First, you must run the .vbox file (LG_webOS_TV_Emulator) from Emulator installed directory folder.
If you are using windows OS for example, directory
C:webOS_TV_SDK\Emulator\v3.00\ (.vbox) file
then you can connect to emulator
I run into the same problem, cannot connect the emulator into the IDE. So I've tried to skip this step.
First I've exported my project into .ipk file and then using the "menu" button on the emulated remote control, installed it directly via "App Manager". App was working fine this way.
Funnily enough, after this "workaround" the connection error was somehow fixed within the IDE.

How to prevent run app on windows emulator? I want to run app on real device that conected to my computer.
I am using windows 8 and Huawei with Android 4.2.2

I have read these questions, But I didn't got the answer!
Why not work Ionic app testing on android real device?
Ionic run android does not run app on device
ionic run android - configurations not running app on device
As a complement to #OClyde answer, you could try :
adb kill-server
adb start-server
To have infos about these commands :
adb --help
Nb : Sometimes, for a reason i do not know, the connection between my phone and the computer break. Running this fixes it.
To make sure that your app is not installed to an emulator but to your device, take the following steps:
Open up your console and run adb devices. This should give you a list of all devices available (real devices as well as running emulators) to the Android Debug Bridge. If the adb command is not recognized check that you have installed the Android SDK correctly and that you've set all the necessary environment variables accordingly.
The adb devices command might give you output similar to this:
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
This indicates that the ADB wasn't ready before, so in this case just try to un- and replug your device and run adb devices again to see if the device is listed afterwards.
If your device is still not showing, check that USB Debugging is enabled on your device. Therefore you first have to enable developer settings, which you can do by tapping the build number (Settings => About Phone) 7 times (no, that's not a joke ;) ). After that, you'll have the developer options in your settings menu. Open these and check "USB Debugging"
If still your device isn't recognized by the ADB, change the USB connection mode. You can either do this in the developer options as well or tap the notification shown when the phone is connected to your PC. Try MTP as well as PTP, on of those should do the job.
After these steps, it should be nearly impossible that the device is still not recognized by your PC. As soon as there is a phone available, Ionic will install the app on the phone automatically instead of launching an emulator.
I am totally new to Cordova, but now I have installed Cordova with NPM and installed Android SDK and set up an AVD which seems to work perfectly, until I want to emulate my project. Where the actual app for some reason is not loaded into the emulator.
The following action is done:
marvin:HelloWorld$ cordova -d emulate android
cordova library for "android" already exists. No need to download. Continuing.
Wrote out Android application name to "HelloWorld"
Wrote out Android package name to "com.example.hello"
Calling plugman.prepare for platform "android"
Preparing android project...
Processing configuration changes for plugins.
Iterating over installed plugins: []
Writing out cordova_plugins.js...
Running on emulator for platform "android" via command ""/home/marvin/Development/projects/HelloWorld/platforms/android/cordova/run" --emulator" (output to follow)...
Then it start Android emulator up, but the app is not there. Does anybody have a suggestion to fix this issue, so I am capable of actually testing in my emulator?
Thank you in advance.
I just had the same problem, and I was missing PATH to platform-tools in android sdk folder, after I added it everything was in place.
I had the same problem as well; I could run the cordova emulate android command just fine, and the emulator would eventually start up and function, however, the test app was never installed on the device. I was not getting any errors from the Cordova CLI or the console or anything.
I found that there is a bug report about this issue here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-4285
Two solutions have been found for this issue:
1. Make sure you are using an Oracle JDK and not an IBM JDK, and
2. Make sure the AVD that emulate starts up has a min-target-sdk set to API 10 (Android 2.3.3) or higher. (This was my problem.)
Sometimes it works deleting the previously installed version of the app in the emulator. For this you could also launch it with the option "Wipe user data" checked.
Just for the record, none of the other solutions worked for me.
I had the same issue. Following solved it for me.
Make sure that API level of your AVD is greater than minSdkVersion specified in config.xml specified in your cordova app.
If anyone still having this issue:
I had a same problem with device being offline.
if ddms is running it looks after connected devices.
adb kill server
and than run ddms
Also make sure your app id doesn't begin with a number or any other character like "_". For example, if your app id is com.4company.MyApp or com._company.MyApp it just won't load on the emulator. The first one is because Java doesn't allow names beginning with a number, and the second one I guess it's a Cordova thing.
You should also use adb logcat to show the emulator errors on the command line.
For me, the app was not starting up because I had a second emulator running in the background. Uninstalling bluestacks (android emulator for windows) fixed the issue in my case. Running "adb logcat" should tell you if you have multiple emulators running.
I just had the same problem, and It was my emulator device that was with the API 15. Just updated to API 17 and the problem solved.

What troubleshooting steps have you done?
Has the app been installed on the emulator previously? If so, fully uninstall the app from the emulator first.
Try closing the emulator, and eclipse (if using eclipse). Then restart and try again.
If the issue keeps happening, you may need to delete the 'cache.img' in your AVD directory.
And if that doesn't help, delete the AVD, and recreate it.
