How to enable client side debug printout - quickfix

I installed the latest quickfix on a virtual machine environment, it does not work properly. Here is what I found:
1. At server side I run run_executor_python.sh
2. At client side I run run_tradeclient.sh
Server side does not receive anything - I know this because if it does, it prints out the received message.
I modified cfg/tradeclient.cfg and set the SocketConnectHost to 127.0.0.1 and start server at the same VM, this time I can see the server receives messages. So this means my installation is good.
I am wondering if there is some command option I can set so that clientside can print out some status or error message which can help me trace where the problem is. I tried run "./tradeclient -h", but "-h" is not a valid option.
My colleague did the same setup as I did and it worked for me, the only difference is his is on real machines, instead of virtual machines. Do you know if there is known problem on VM? Google does not return anything.
Anyway, thanks a lot.

Connected To XEPDB1 From SQL Developer [duplicate]

I am using ORACLE database in a windows environment and running a JSP/servlet web application in tomcat. After I do some operations with the application it gives me the following error.
ORA-12518, TNS: listener could not hand off client connection
can any one help me to identify the reason for this problem and propose me a solution?
The solution to this question is to increase the number of processes :
1. Open command prompt
2. sqlplus / as sysdba; //login sysdba user
3. startup force;
4. show parameter processes; // This shows 150(some default) processes allocated, then increase the count to 800
5. alter system set processes=800 scope=spfile;
As Tried and tested.
In my case I found that it is because I haven't closed the database connections properly in my application. Too many connections are open and Oracle can not make more connections. This is a resource limitation. Later when I check with oracle forum I could see some reasons that have mentioned there about this problem. Some of them are.
In most cases this happens due to a network problem.
Your server is probably running out of memory and need to swap memory to disk.One cause can be an Oracle process consuming too much memory.
if it is the second one, please verify large_pool_size or check dispatcher were enough for all connection.
You can refer bellow link for further details.

I ran across the same problem, in my case it was a new install of the Oracle client on a new desktop that was giving the error, other clients were working so I knew it wouldn't be a fix to the database configuration. tnsping worked properly but sqlplus failed with the ora-12518 listener error.
I had the tnsnames.ora entry with a SID instead of a service_name, then once I fixed that, still the same error and found I had the wrong service_name as well. Once I fixed that, the error went away.
If from one day to another the issue shows for no apparent reasons, add these following lines at the bottom of the listner.ora file. If your oracle_home environment variable is set like this:
(ORACLE_HOME = C:\oracle11\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server)
The lines to add are:
ADR_BASE_LISTENER = C:\oracle11\app\oracle\
DIRECT_HANDOFF_TTC_LISTENER=OFF
I had the same problem when executing queries in my application. I'm using Oracle client with Ruby on Rails.
The problem started when I accidentally started several connections with the DB and didn't close them.
When I fixed this, everything started to work fine again.
Hope this helps another one with the same problem.
I experienced the same error after upgrading to Windows 10. I solved it by starting services for Oracle which are stopped.
Start all the services as shown in the following image:
I had the same issue. After restarting all Oracle services it worked again.
same problem encountered for me.
And from oracle server listener log, can see more information.
and I found that the SERVICE_NAME is not match the tnsnames.ora configured Service name. so I changed the application's data source configuration from SID value to Service_NAME value and it fixed.

TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error
64-bit Windows Error: 203: Unknown error
I had the same issue in real time application and the issue gone by itself next day. upon checking, it was found that server ran out of memory due to additional processes running.
So in my case, the reason was server run out of memory
first of all
check the listener log
check the show parameter processes vs select count(*) from v$processes;
increase the process, it may require SGA increase

Web Deploy not working. Timeout on client. Schannel 1203 on server

I'm trying to deploy an application via web deploy to a windows 2012 r2 server.
First tried installing iis, web deploy using the msi. After getting an unreachable error I saw somewhere that I needed wmsvc to be installed and installed it via powershell command Install-WindowsFeature Web-Mgmt-Service.
I stopped getting the unreachable error and started getting this error ->
Error: Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'http://xx.x.xx.xx:8172/MSDEPLOYAGENTSERVICE'.
Error: The operation has timed out
On the server's event viewer under system I get the following error ->
A fatal alert was generated and sent to the remote endpoint. This may result in termination of the connection. The TLS protocol defined fatal error code is 10. The Windows SChannel error state is 1203.
Any idea of what could be going on? Did I miss something on the installation?
After this I also tried installing everything but without iis and I get the same error.
So, this is really not a PoSH issue.
Maybe you should consider movin gthis question to another forum.
Anyway, you have either real server config issues (this can sometimes mean wipe and rebuild - very ugly option - but if it's a virtual machine and you have a snapshot, just roll back), or an app causing this.
Typically for Schannel type of error, it has to do with application or service in machine not able to complete any SSL connection sort of connection.
The error state parameter of 1203 means client error connecting to server, ie invalid ClientHello from the client
See if you can collect more data by...
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/260729/how-to-enable-schannel-event-logging-in-iis
I realized this is an old question, but in case somebody ran into the same issue, here are my solution.
I had to follow this guidelines : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/web-forms/overview/deployment/configuring-server-environments-for-web-deployment/configuring-a-web-server-for-web-deploy-publishing-web-deploy-handler
Copy the resulting publishsetting file. In the Publish/Profile page import it.
In the Publish/Connection page, change the server to the server address with the 8172 port. Add the password. Change the Destination URL to the site to go to after the publish is completed.
Then after Validate connection was completed, go ahead and publish it!

Visual studio release management - deploy with ps/dsc encountered error with server certificate

I'm trying to run a simple ps script on a target computer (my local machine) from our RM server through the RM client. However the release falls over when it reaches deploy using ps/dsc. The error message reads:
Connecting to remote server ### failed with the following error message : The server certificate on the destination computer (###:5985) has the following errors:
Encountered an internal error in the SSL library.
However as you can see by the winrm port number, I'm using HTTP not HTTPS to communicate with my machine, so surely SSL should not come into it. So has anyone else come across this or have any idea what I could be doing wrong?
UPDATE: the machines are part of the same domain.
In the deploy using DSC action keep UseHTTPS variable to false and skipCACheck to true, just in case.
BTW, how long does it take for the action to show this error message in the logs? Also, as someone mentioned in the comments, are you able to manually run the script using PS remoting?
If none of the above helps, we would need more details. Try looking into the event logs for the target machine right after your deployment failed and check for any errors.
I came across same issue ,On installing Azure service certification VM tailed,Resolved issue.

Access denied on MessageQueue.GetPrivateQueuesByMachine

I'm trying to get the list of available queues on the remote machine. The machine is a Win2003R2 in Workgroup mode, and the client machine that runs the code is a Windows 8 machine both using the same Workgroup name. I get an exception when running the following code:
var messages = MessageQueue.GetPrivateQueuesByMachine("Win2003SRV");
And the error message is:
base {System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException}: {"Access to Message Queuing system is denied."}
Message: "Access to Message Queuing system is denied."
MessageQueueErrorCode: AccessDenied
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with permissions on Windows 2003 but couldn't find much. The code works fine with another Win Server 2008 (but in workgroup mode) and works with local MSMQ as well. According to the MSDN page, this function is supported on Workgroup mode, so what's the catch?
SOLVED:
My issue turned out to be that I didn't have MSMQ installed on my Client machine! The help on the link pointed me to the right direction, so all I had to do was to install MSMQ on client machine as well. If you look at the implementation of GetPrivateQueuesByMachine, the native call can throw a DllNotFoundException and it is that exception that translates into that specific message, so it should give you a hint on what is wrong
John Breakwell who is/was a msmq MVP has a few posts which may help. The problem seems to be caused because the GetPrivateQueuesByMachine() method uses RPC under the hood to communicate between queue managers on different machines.

How to trace MSMQ?

I have an agent and a server in different domains. The server acts as an MSMQ server and the agent acts as an MSMQ client. I am using the mqsender utility, which is part of the MSMQ tools.
My problem is that a message is not delivered when using the HTTP:// format string (the MSMQ is installed with HTTP support). Using the OS: format string works fine.
When using HTTP the messages are immediately moved to the Dead Letter queue and the Class is set to Unknown, so I do not know the reasons for this behaviour.
So, this works:
mqsender.exe /c:10 /j:dead /f:Direct=OS:il-mark-w2k3\private$\test
And this does not:
mqsender.exe /c:10 /j:dead /f:Direct=http://il-mark-w2k3/msmq/private$/test
I checked that MSMQ virtual directory exists. How can I trace the MSMQ operation to try and understand what is going on?
Thanks.
EDIT
All the commands work as expected when ran locally on the server.
Navigating to http://il-mark-w2k3/msmq/private$/test in the browser on the agent (and the server) results in 501 - Header values specify a method that is not implemented. The same error is received when navigating to http://il-mark-w2k3/msmq. I suppose that is OK, after all it is not 404 - Not Found, right?
EDIT2
I have succeeded to resolve the issue. IIS lacked Anonymous Authentication, it became obvious from observing its log - 401.2 HTTP error was there. All worked well after it was enabled. The mistery remains why did MSMQ display Class Unknown on the dead messages? On other machine the same setup produces Error : 401, which makes much more sense.
The logging for MSMQ is internal so you won't easily be able to see exactly why the message didn't get delivered without raising a support case with Microsoft.
I have a few blog posts on solving various MSMQ/HTTP issues.
The 17 entitled "MSMQ messages using HTTP just won't get delivered" may help.
Also make sure you check the IIS logs for information.
Cheers
John Breakwell
