smart app banners not working iOS - iphone

I have wrote this code in HomePage of my website, I am using iOS 6.1.3 in my iPhone 4s
when i access my website in safari initially a banner with loading appears on top of the screen then after some time (means after loading full website) banner gets disappear :(
here is the code i have written in my website,
<meta name="apple-itunes-app" content="app-id=68924633, affiliate-data=myAffiliateData, app-argument=https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/bi/id68924637?mt=8&uo=4">
Thanks in advance.

I had same issue, but it was because the application is only available in US and I'm developing from Colombia. So, check if you are connected to some VPN or your itunes account is from another region.
I connected my iphone with an US vpn and changed the region of my account and it worked.
Hope it helps!

This took a while to work out, but once you have dismissed the popup, it will NOT return. So if your having issues, try on a different phone. Resetting the cache or using private browsing wont help either, as its not stored in cache.

<meta name="apple-itunes-app" content="app-id=689246337" />
should be sufficient for your needs

Could be several reasons:
- Your network connection not allowing you to access the apple's appstore, to check this, just open appstore with your phone and see whether it works or not.
- Your apps is not available in the appstore of the country you're connected to, to check this, open appstore from your iphone, and then look for your apps there.
Cheers

iTunes app link cannot open page in safari in simulator and also iDevices

I hope this may be duplicate question. But none of the answers didn't hard help me. I am trying to open a link from my iOS application. When I press the button, It opens the safari app and it always says an alert "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid". Here it is a link looks like the same https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/app_name/id(appId) .
I don't think it is a good place to post the exact the app link. So the above link is dummy link exactly look like mine. Why the error always happening when I try to open the link. I tried in simulator and also in iPod. Same error occurs. If I try the same link with Safari in MAC OS then it works.
Here it is a code I am using to open the safari from my app with a link.
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:#"https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/app_name/id(appId)"]];
I am from India. The above link contains gb. Is that link can only open from Great Britain??
UPDATE:
I have good working network. And I tried one more thing. I opened my safari app in simulator and search my app in google and clicking that link shows the same error. Is that a problem with that link in apple side itself??
Kjuly's answer is 90% correct (and +1 to Kjuly!).
If you look at the at the Appirater code,
and in the .m file that has the function that opens up the app store (it's the "rateApp:" method) I see this bit of code:
+ (void)rateApp {
#if TARGET_IPHONE_SIMULATOR
NSLog(#"APPIRATER NOTE: iTunes App Store is not supported on the iOS simulator. Unable to open App Store page.");
#else
So no matter what you try, you are not going to be able to open the App Store app within the simulator. The App Store app does not exist in the simulator, so that's why you get a "not found" error when your web view attempts to redirect to it. This should work fine on the actual device that has the App Store app installed.
Take a try with this URL:
http://itunes.apple.com/app/<appId>
Note: Replace <appId> with your desire App's ID, e.g. id543028543.
That is a possibility as you are specifying the region to which the app belongs or is hosted on the app store under. Try loading the the url without the region 'gb'.
I was having same problem. Links in email not opening, links to App Store not working and App Store not searching or loading apps. I called Appke support. A reset worked! Go to settings to find how the reset under general. It doesn't delete anything either.

Why iAd doesn't display ads?

I recently launch a n iPhone app, with iAd on it. I simply dragged a banner to the app, which should be supposed to work. However, after several hours of app being in app store, the app cannot display adds on my testing iPhone. Anyone encounter similar problem?
Please verify that you have properly filled up the Bank and Taxation details and also agreed to Paid application license of the Developer account.
These are the common issues with iAd not displaying on app store application.

Disable Home Button

I know this has been asked previously however I would like to disable the home button for an in-house app which will be distributed internally across iPads.
I have searched for a solution both on here and Google and would like to stop users from putting the app into the background. I have seen one solution which doesn't seem to work under iOS 4.0 which opens the app up again when the home button is pressed.
Could I make use of any private APIs to do this seeing as this is an internal app and won't be reviewed by Apple for the App Store?
Thanks
I don't know why this is down voted so much it is a perfectly legit use case for an internal enterprise application. Kiosks, POS etc.
Anyway anyone wanting to know how to do this should see my answer here Lock-down iPhone/iPod/iPad so it can only run one app
Whatever your reasons are you are not able to do this.
Apple provides no functionality to perform this action through their API. You might want to re-think your strategy. Look maybe instead for a physical barrier.
Additionally you might want to look into JailBreaking and iPhone since you say it is only for internal development and won't go to the appstore. A jail broken phone might allow you access to change the home button behavior, though I cannot confirm this since I have never had need to code on a jail broken device.
If it's your iPad, glue or bolt a cover over the home button. Connect the iPad to Xcode or iTunes to halt and/or reload your app.
But note that knowledgable users will still be able to reboot the device by holding down the lock button.
Jailbreak and add incarcer app can disable the home button (admin has a code to allow activation). Then you're locked in your app. If you're up for jailbreaking, seems like a great solution.
There's a new hardware solution, adhesive-backed aluminum home button covers. They allow home button activation through a pinhole, using a paperclip (similar to many popular metal encosures). http://bubcap.com/bubcap-pro.html

iPhone iAd Enabled App Published Still Showing Test Ads

I integrated iAd in my application which got approved by Apple. I downloaded the app (FREE) to my device and ran it. For some reason instead of displaying real world ads it still says "Test Ads". Anyone experience this issue? The app got approved yesterday maybe it is too early to get the ads but I think Apple should not show test ads.
It seems like Apple will always display TEST ads on the machine it was tested on.
Hey, make sure you delete the binary you used in testing off of your phone, and off of iTunes if you distributed that way. The phone will see that the version numbers are the same, and skip some of the code upgrades. Once you reinstall from iTunes, you should be good to go! Congrats on getting the app out into the store.

How do I link to another app in the App Store in an iPhone app?

I used this technique, but it appears to not work anymore in 3.0. In the simulator at least, my app opens Safari, and then there is a visible redirect, but then I get a message that there has been too many redirects. Any fix?
Have you tried this on the device? There is no App Store application on the Simulator, so any attempts to redirect to it will fail.
Within my application, the itunes.apple.com links for the App Store work just fine under 3.0 on the actual devices.
I can't test this right now, but have you tried changing the 'http:' protocol in the link to 'itms:' instead?
